Work-order System for Make-to-orders (수주 산업에서의 작업지시 시스템)

  • The work-order performs an important role in make-to-order production. The development of work-order system in this production is more complex than work-order system in planing production. To construct work-order system, load of directors for work-order must be decreased, and production management between scheduling of master plan and current workshop conditions must be considered. In this study, we grasped troubles in present work-order system and flows of information for work order. Using these results are made database schemas and data flow diagrams for effective development of work-order system. And then, for successful establishment of work-order system and actual use of directors, we considered systematic and easy user-interface. For a case study, development procedures of work-order system are presented for plant factory.

  • Owing to the development of mobile communication technology during the last a few years, the number of users of mobile devices such as the smartphone and the tablet PC has increased rapidly. As a result, the range of applications of the mobile devices has also been greatly expanded from an application for the convenience of daily life to an application for assisting the operations of industrial fields. Especially, portability of mobile devices can provide great help in collecting and using information on the production site. In shipbuilding production processes, it is difficult to collect changes of circumstance in the field and reflect the changes to schedule due to the low production automation rate and frequent changes in schedule. In this study, we propose a system to solve the problems of shipbuilding production processes such as the ones described above by using mobile devices. First of all, we organize the production information and production processes of the panel line through the analysis of shipyard panel line operations. Next, we have developed a system that can support the production execution plan of the panel line and monitor the production processes in the field. The system was developed utilizing application virtualization to allow access to the system from various platforms of mobile devices and PC's. The system was implemented using ooCBD methodology considering the future expansion of the system and ease of maintenance.

  • New trends such as electronic commerce, virtual organizations, e-business applications, etc. increase the dependence of production management on information software systems and contribute to the needs for global, distributed object systems. This paper presents a component based approach for production management systems under the multi-tier distributed information system architecture using UML(Unified Modeling Language), CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and XML(eXtensible Markup Language) technologies, and propose rules for mapping a UML class diagram to a XML DTD (Document Type Definition). And we adapt it to the prototype system implementation. The components are implemented by CORBA and we use XML messages for the information exchange between components.

  • Toyota Production System (TPS) has been known a new production paradigm applicable to every type of manufacturing industry, not restricted to automobile assembly system. The basic framework of TPS has been studied and presented actively; many enterprises from all over the world including some of large domestic companies, have adopted and applied. This study analyzed the cases for TPS introduction and application process of LG Electronics and SAMSUNG Electronics, Semiconductor Division. On a different areas of business items, different strategic approaches are developed and implemented on a two comparable domestic companies. Key success factors for two companies are analysed, and some issues are also discussed.

  • We study a multi-component production/inventory system in which individual components are made to meet various demand types. We assume that the demands arrive according to a Poisson process, but there is a fixed probability that a demand requests a particular kit of different components. Each component is produced by a flow line with several stations. The production of each component is operated by the CONWIP control mechanism. To analyse this system, we propose an approximation method based on aggregation method. In application of the aggregation method, a product-form approximation technique as well as a matrix-geometric method is used. Comparisons with simulation show that the approximation method provides fairly good results.

  • In this study, which is the basis for industrial presses to target small and medium enterprises with production information system is designed. Production information in real time on-site digitizing and transmitting data to a standard PC is to base operations. Personnel management, safety management, production management is to increase the efficiency. Therefore, at low cost is to encourage computerization within the company. These embedded systems and wireless communication module has a database management program installed in order to raise productivity and competitiveness will improve.

  • For estimation manufacturing cost during the early design stage, desingers have to know compositon of manufacturmg cost. Manufacturing cost is summalion of material cost and processmg cost. To be able to control the manufacturmg cost, it is necessary to estimate the costs adequately and to store the cost data in a generic way. a generic system, which is the basis for the control of the production costs, takes into account geometric information, material information, process information and production planning information Manufacturing cost is summation of material cost and processing cost.

  • Manufacturing execution system is a factory information system that handles production-related quality data as well as executes production plans of process unit for all resources in the production process on site. As the 4th industrial revolution, which maximizes an automation and connectivity with artificial intelligence, has become a hot topic, manufacturers are showing interest in building a smart factories, but enormous construction costs and unstandardized production processes are obstacles to smart factory construction. Therefore, this paper designs and implements a manufacturing execution system for building a smart factory in a deterioration factory. we propose a Web-based manufacturing execution system aiming at a smart factory at the basic level for steel wire processing. The proposed system will smoothly support interworking with the existing ERP system using REST APIs, and will consider extensibility so that it can be used in various devices and browsers. We will show practicality by implementing the proposed WoT-based manufacturing execution system.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of application of accounting information system on the manufacturing cost improvement of domestic small and medium - sized manufacturing companies. For this study, we conducted an empirical study on the accounting officers of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in Korea. According to the results of the study, companies use accounting information system to understand the variation of manufacturing cost much and show positive effect. This study will contribute to improving the manufacturing cost of domestic small and medium - sized manufacturing companies by increasing the efficiency of accounting information system.

AI Smart Factory Model for Integrated Management of Packaging Container Production Process

  • We propose the AI Smart Factory Model for integrated management of production processes in this paper .It is an integrated platform system for the production of food packaging containers, consisting of a platform system for the main producer, one or more production partner platform systems, and one or more raw material partner platform systems while each subsystem of the three systems consists of an integrated storage server platform that can be expanded infinitely with flexible systems that can extend client PCs and main servers according to size and integrated management of overall raw materials and production-related information. The hardware collects production site information in real time by using various equipment such as PLCs, on-site PCs, barcode printers, and wireless APs at the production site. MES and e-SCM data are stored in the cloud database server to ensure security and high availability of data, and accumulated as big data. It was built based on the project focused on dissemination and diffusion of the smart factory construction, advancement, and easy maintenance system promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manufacturing sites while we plan to propose this model in the paper to state funding projects for SMEs.
