Study on the Development of Welding Information System for CIMS in Shipbuilding (조선 CIMS를 위한 용접정보 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Welding is one of the important technologies in shipbuilding industry. Automation and productivity promotion of welding contribute to the cost saving of ship production. The quality and productivity of welding are dependent on the quality and suitability of technical information supplied by engineering parts. This paper describes the research results of welding information system for ship. The system can be used for the development of CIMS for shipbuilding. For this work, the welding information related to the ship Production were analyzed in detail. Object-oriented technique is applied to represent the complex and various welding information. To process the extend amount of the welding information of ship, database system was constructed. A pilot system for the bulk carrier ship was developed and can be used with ease by programming of event-driven method and implementaion of graphical user interlace.

  • In hospitals and pharmacies, the distribution of medicines is an important part. Any mistakes, misses, fake medicines and expired medicines can cause medical accidents. With the widespread application of the Internet of Things technology (IoT), traditional drug distribution methods need to be upgraded. This article proposes a drug distribution management scheme based on the Internet of Things technology. In the production of drugs, a flexible RFID tag was printed on the packaging box, which stored a series of information such as drug name, dosage, raw materials, efficacy, production date, expiration date, and manufacturer. The use of a drug distribution management system combined with RFID readers can identify drug information and effectively prevent the occurrence of erroneous, missed, counterfeit, and expired drugs. It can also improve management efficiency, reduce management costs, and control management risks. Through the circuit design and software system development, the test results show that this solution is effective and feasible, the proposed method can achieve the expected results.

  • In case of domestic automobile manufacturers introduce and run a order production method, JIT system is to provide a necessary number of components for a right place timely which is a specific supply chain management is different from other occupations. This study is for establishing a efficient production planning and finding a management method to correspond with a manufacturing system and diversified supply chain management and building an information system to support it. For this, analyze the relevant business process and utilize various informations occur in supply chain of domestic automobile components manufacturer. It will contribute to not only reliability improvement of production management system but also satisfaction for due date of products.

  • In this paper, we propose a systematic procedure to determine standard time and cycle time in a TFT-LCD factory. The proposed procedure mainly consists of data preprocessing, hypothesis testing and Group technology. Data preprocessing extracts relevant data from large on-line data sets by eliminating corrupt and noisy data. Hypothesis test techniques have been used to determine whether the standard information has been changed. Also, Group technology has been applied to generate standard information for newly developed products. The proposed procedure has been successfully applied to the production information system of a TFT-LCD factory in Korea.

  • This paper is aimed to prose a welding information system which is usable for ship design and production processes. For this work, the welding information related to shipbuilding is analyzed systematically. Database system and object-oriented paradigm are integrated to describe the welding information model of ship structure. Event-driven programming technique and graphical user interface are used to provide the richer interactive environment and the flexibility for the application. Test program is developed to verify the consistency of the created model and to see the effectiveness of the used programming technique.

  • The trend is going to obtain the accurate and fast information to the development of information technology and electronic technology as an important part of corporate management. Press equipment to produce products that target is small and medium businesses. Became so economical real-time production information system(R-PIS) model has been implemented. R-PIS configure the embedded hardware and PC application software. This system is easy maintenance and upgrade that general-purpose PC and a modular hardware devices. Consists of modules such as wireless communication, LCD, Key-pad, memory control, and sensor signal. R-PIS is efficient materials and product management to maximize the productivity of the enterprise.

  • In an order-oriented production system such as mold manufacturing, the production starts with an order acceptance, and the production planning is set up according to the accepted order information. Such a work can be done through a dynamic process management system which can reflect shop floor situation dynamically. In this paper, so called the Quick order acceptance evaluation system that can investigate order confirmation quickly, is discussed. When an order is asked, this system must consider the time constraint to determine whether to accept or not, and must be reliable when the determined results are used in the shop floor. For this system, firstly, we simplified the machines by grouping based on their operation capabilities, secondly, we conducted load analysis to calculate available capacities during given periods using heuristic method instead of mathematical algorithm, thirdly, expert can input his experienced knowledge into the system interactively when simulation results don't meet the required due dates. As a case study, we applied this system to an injection mold manufacturing factory.

  • In order to intensify an enterprise competition, quality inspection controls are very important issue. An organization or division of a company hopes which to acquire the quality inspection information be updated in real-time with respect to shop floor. In this paper, we develop a quality inspection control system for a Turbine/Generator production industry. The system compromises inspection scheduling module related to shop floor control (SFC) system, formal documentation control module, and formal inspection control module. In the quality inspection control system, ORACLE RDBMS is used for the database management system and ORACLE DEVELOPER 2000 is used for system development tool. The characteristic of this system is to support so it can enhance productivity and quality through inspection plans related to production scheduling.

  • We would like to study and develop the optimized WBS(Work Breakdown Structure) considering project's range, schedule, cost and human resources management with defining phased work in main task and preceding and escorting relationships for effective small and medium enterprises' informatization through standardized PSDM(Production System Development Methodology). For more systemic and effective system built-up, it introduces production information with WBS study which is appropriate for the small and medium enterprises with setting up management items for enhancing system's reliability, quality, productivity, smooth communication among the participated enterprises such as the small and medium enterprises, IT enterprises, and supervision enterprises, and operational support including maintenance of the built system. This study is purpose of helping a lot of the small and medium enterprises and IT enterprises to build up the systems more effective and reliable within planned schedule using the standardized methodology.

  • To keep enterprise's competitiveness on condition of the automatic manufacturing system such as FA, FMS and CIM, all the maintenance problems should be considered seriously in not only production and maintenance but also related industrial safety. As we analyze in the surveys for the maintenance management of domestic enterprises and the causes of Industrial accident, there will be necessity of drawing up countermeasures for prevention of industrial accidents and for ensuring expertise maintenance technologies. Based on these analyses, this study studied the safety information system, maintenance management information system, and the machinery condition diagnosis technique by using of the knowledge-based system under the internet environment. This web based knowledge-based diagnosis system can easily provide not only the knowledge of expert about deterioration phenomenon of industrial robot, but also the knowledge of relating safety and facility on everywhere, everytime. Therefore, when we use this system, it is expected to improve the efficiency of business processes in the production and safety.
