자연스러운 동작 분석을 통한 냉장고 Half Guard 조립체의 인간공학적 개선 (An Analysis of Natural Motion for Product Design : Refrigerator Half Guard Installation Part Design)

  • Ergonomic product design considering users' natural use motion is of importance to improve the usability and satisfaction of a product. A five-step process of product design was developed in the present study by measuring and analyzing users' natural product-use motion with a motion capture system. The developed process was applied to ergonomic design improvement of a half guard installation part of refrigerator; new guard designs (diagonal and arc shape) were developed with the process and evaluated in terms of validity during the development as two measures (task satisfaction and similarity of natural motion). According to the evaluation result, the satisfaction at putting in- and out-task of new guard designs ($6.3{\pm}0.5$ points) was significantly higher than that of existing guard designs ($3.3{\pm}1.0$ points); the difference between natural motion and product-use motion in new guard designs ($1.0{\pm}0.3cm$) was significantly less than that of existing guard designs ($2.0{\pm}0.2cm$). The proposed process of natural motion analysis and product design is applicable to ergonomic product design and evaluation.

  • This study examines the effects of pursued benefits and satisfaction (or dissatisfaction) on repurchase intentions. The research was comprised of a 2 (satisfaction after purchase: satisfaction versus dissatisfaction) ${\times}2$ (product benefit type: utilitarian benefit versus hedonic benefit) ${\times}2$ (hyperopic disposition: high versus low) model, designed with three mixed elements. The subject participants of this study were 168 female university students aged 20 to 29 from the Seoul, Gyeong-gi do, and Chung-cheong do areas. We performed a reliability analysis, T-test, and ANOVA using the SPSS statistic package. The results of this study are summarized as follows. In terms of product benefit that influences repurchase intention based on whether a consumer has experienced satisfaction after purchasing a fashion product, repurchase intention was high for hedonic benefits regardless of the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction after a purchase. However, we found a significant difference in preference when the hyperopic disposition of a consumer was taken into account. When dissatisfied with a purchase, consumers with low levels of hyperopic disposition displayed higher repurchase intentions for the products of hedonic benefit than those of utilitarian benefits. However, when dissatisfied with a purchase, consumers with high levels of hyperopic disposition displayed low levels of repurchase intention regardless of the type of product benefit. When consumers are satisfied with a purchase, they are more likely to repurchase hedonic products than utilitarian products.

  • Customer satisfaction is becoming an increasingly salient topic in many firms and in academic research. One main rationale behind this interest is that customer satisfaction is believed to be associated with fruitful customer re-visit from the firm's point of view. Some country already had index models which can measure the degree of customer satisfaction. But, such models are ordinary models which used generally the scope of nation-wide industry. Therefore, we needs some modifications to measure customer satisfaction for specific product & service and to provide the valuable feedback to specific firms. In this perspectives, this study will evaluate the customer satisfaction index about automobile company and analyze it's result for valuable feedback. This study will present a model for an integrated customer satisfaction evaluation system which used structural equation modeling. Through this study, we anticipate that it will offer the measuring method about customer satisfaction and some guideline for product design process.

의복 만족 모형 구성을 위한 이론적 연구 (A Theoretical Study on Clothing Satisfaction Model)

  • The ultimate purpose of this study is to build a model on clothing satisfaction which extends the consumer satisfaction model by unifying the exportation antecedents. In the literature study, it is proposed to clarify the concepts on the clothing satisfaction, and to investigate the present paradigms of the consumer satisfaction. It is widely accepted by the clothing researchers that the clothing satisfaction is a comparative process in which the evaluation criteria are used to judge the clothing product and to access the disconfirmation. In the Disconfirmation paradigm, the role of the expectation is very important. We propose to classify the expectation into the expective expectation and the normative expectation. The normative expectation applies when the investment cost and effort are considered. The expectation is shown to be affected by the expectation antecedents of the product characteris-tics, the situation characteristics, and the consumer characteristics. We investigate in detail those clothing satisfaction determinants and their measurement methods. Then, we build a clothing satisfaction model by the disconfirmation paradigm which is composed of the expectation antecedents, the expectation (expective expectation, normative expectation), the perceived clothing product performance, and the disconfirmation.

How Customers Perceive Virtual Mirror Technology in the 4th Industrial Revolution Environment

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore how customers perceive virtual mirror technology in the 4th industrial revolution environment. In particular, this study investigated how virtual mirror technology affects customer satisfaction and intention to use that are rarely examined in previous studies. Research questions include how proposed variables including sensory stimulation, enjoyment, product quality, telepresence, interactivity, and immersion affect satisfaction and intention to use and how satisfaction affects intention to use. Research design, data and methodology: This study conducted an online survey and applied factor and regression analyses to test hypotheses. Results: The results of this study found that effects of sensory stimulation, telepresence, and immersion on satisfaction were significant, while effects of enjoyment, product quality, and immersion on intention to use were significant. Therefore, variables affecting satisfaction and intention to use were different, while effects of immersion were significant both on satisfaction and intention to use. Conclusions: This study concluded that the role of virtual mirror technology helps customers determine product quality and increase satisfaction level, while it also helps customers enjoy shopping and increase intent to use the service. The results of this study provide how to foster better relationship with customers by applying advanced technologies.

Assessing Personalized Recommendation Services Using Expectancy Disconfirmation Theory

  • There is an accuracy-diversity dilemma with personalized recommendation services. Some researchers believe that accurate recommendations might reinforce customer satisfaction. However, others claim that highly accurate recommendations and customer satisfaction are not always correlated. Thus, this study attempts to establish the causal factors that determine customer satisfaction with personalized recommendation services to reconcile these incompatible views. This paper employs statistical analyses of simulation to investigate an accuracy-diversity dilemma with personalized recommendation services. To this end, we develop a personalized recommendation system and measured accuracy, diversity, and customer satisfaction using a simulation method. The results show that accurate recommendations positively affected customer satisfaction, whereas diverse recommendations negatively affected customer satisfaction. Also, customer satisfaction was associated with the recommendation product size when neighborhood size was optimal in accuracy. Thus, these results offer insights into personalizing recommendation service providers. The providers must identify customers' preferences correctly and suggest more accurate recommendations. Furthermore, accuracy is not always improved as the number of product recommendation increases. Accordingly, providers must propose adequate number of product recommendation.

인터넷 쇼핑몰을 통(通)한 의류제품(衣類製品)의 구매실태(購買實態), 구매요인(購買要因) 및 구매만족(購買滿足)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Status, Purchase Factors and Satisfaction of Clothes through Internet Shopping Mall)

  • The subjects of the study were randomly male and female college students in Seoul. The 123 subjects had experience of purchasing clothes from Internet shopping mall. To analyze SPSS(ver 10.0) was used $X^2$, ANOVA, Correlation analysis, Multiple regression and Cronbach $\alpha$ were performed for verification. For significance judgement, .05 was used, which is commonly used in social science. The result of this study were most of them purchased closes once or twice a year through Internet shopping mall. The most popular item was T-shirts or sweater and money spent per visit was less than 100,000 won. Those who have used Internet for a longer period tend to purchase more items tend to purchase more frequently. Subjective satisfaction which is a sub factor of the product purchase and product purchase times have significant correlation and total purchase amount and the sub factors of purchase satisfaction. There is significant correlation among product information provision, which is a sub factor of purchase feature and product information provision, marketability, convenience of delivery, additional features and subjective satisfaction which are sub factors of purchase satisfaction. Clothing purchase factors influencing on subjective satisfaction are product information provision and marketability and marketability is the stronger influencing feature of the two.

제품다자인의 감성만족도 평가 및 예측모델 개발 (Models for evaluating and predicting the user satisfaction of product designs)

  • This study introduces the concept of image/impression of a product design, human interface elements, and the relationships between them. It is assumed that the human interface can be decomposed into detailed design elements, called human interface elements. This study attempts to build functional relationships between the image/impression of a product and human interface elements. Two different human factors experiments were conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach suggested in this study. A total of 35 audio/visual consumer electronics products (e.g., CD players, VCRs) were shown on a display screen and the subjects were instructed to evaluate them in terms of eight image/impression dimensions. One experiment was conducted using Korean subjects while the other using American subjects. The functional relationships were modeled by using the multiple linear regression technique. Similarity and difference between the Korean and the American subjects were analyzed. The approach suggested in this study is expected to help designers and developers identify important design variables to enhance the subjective satisfaction of a product design.

친환경농산물 학교급식에 대한 만족도 및 추가 비용규모 추정 (An Analysis on the Satisfaction and Additional Cost Scale of Environmental-Friendly Agri-Product School Meal Program)

  • The objectives of this study were to analysis satisfaction and additional cost scale about environmental-friendly agri-product school meal program. To analysis satisfaction about environmental-friendly agri-product (EFAP), parent' survey were conducted residing in Cheonan city. The sample size of the survey is 304 respectively. As a result, parents of students recognized that EFAP is good for their children as well as they really want to change food material from general agri-product to EFAP. Therefore, environmental-friendly agri-policy to be more focused on consumption behavior and food security needs. In order to perfectly change food material to EFAP, about l trillion won will be additionally needed. It means that the market demand of EFAP will be dramatically increased. On the other hand, safe school meal program is one of the most important in a child's life, vital for proper growth and development.

모방구매가 제품만족에 미치는 영향 - 자존감의 조절효과를 중심으로 - (The Effect of Mimetic Purchase on the Product Satisfaction -Focused on the Moderating Role of Self Esteem-)

  • 본 연구에서는 소비자들간 모방구매가 제품만족에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 이 영향관계를 조절하는 소비자 특성변수로 소비자의 자존감과 공적자기의식의 역할을 규명해 보고자 하였다. 특별히 모방구매의 영향력을 제품만족도와의 관계를 통해 살펴본 것은 제품만족이 또 다른 모방구매뿐만 아니라 강력한 구전의 원천정보가 된다는 점에서 기업의 구전전략 수립에 중요한 의미를 제공해 주기 때문이다. 연구가설은 모방구매 정도가 제품만족도에 미치는 직접영향(가설 1), 가설 1의 영향관계를 조절하는 자존감과 공적자기의식의 조절적 역할 가설(가설 2, 가설 3) 등 3개 가설을 설정하였으며, 가설검증을 위한 자료는 모방구매가 가장 빈번히 발생하고 있는 스마트폰 사용자 대상의 설문조사를 통해 수집하였다. 분석 결과 가설 1에서 예상한 모방구매 정도와 제품만족도간의 관계는 가설의 내용과 방향대로 모방구매 정도가 높을수록 해당 제품에 대한 만족도가 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 영향관계는 소비자의 자존감이 높을수록 부정적으로 나타났는데(가설 2), 이는 높은 자존감을 가진 사람의 경우 모방구매로 인해 훼손된 자존감이 해당 제품에 대한 평가에 부정적 영향을 미쳤기 때문으로 해석된다. 반면 공적자기의식의 조절효과(가설 3)는 당초 예상했던 것과 달리 유의하지 않게 나타났다.
