The Influence and Construction Strategies of Constructor under the PL Law in Construction Industry (건설산업에 있어서 제조물책임법의 시행에 따른 영향과 대응방안 기초연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the rational plans of Construction Policies under Product Liability Law. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1) Analytical survey of actual Influence under Product Liability Law in Construction Industry. 2) Review of Business Strategies of Constructor and Building Material Supplier. Although real estate including apartment is excepted from the application of product liability law, constructor are not perfectly free to the product liability law. And the expectancies of this paper are that it can be used as efficient data for improvement of system to systematize contents of Product Liability Law in korea.

  • Product Liability(P.L) is designed for system which charge with a compensation for demages that has nothing to do with whether manufacturer make a mistake or not in that case suffer heavy losses anyone of body or property by defect of product. Now and then, most people interest of safety of product and main countries already carry out Product Liability. This paper analyzes newly studied cases by defects, products, countries in Korea and some developed countries (USA and Japan mainly) in order to prepare for Product Liability, which will be enforced on July 1, 2002 in Korea. Before P.L. began to enforce, many cases have happened and resulted in sues. Therfore, each country have revised the current P.L. after many trials and errors. From this respect, the cases of other countries and Korea will be compared and analyzed.

  • Recently, there is a rise of accident by some defective products, especially it reported that a serious fact is a defect of design causing some problem since execute a product liability(PL), people who use products have been able to bo remunerated for a damage to those defects, so responsibilities of companies are rising more and more. Therefore, companies that are obligated to manufacture a safety product, and should make preparation for PL. For solving the problem, even though manufacturers tried to make a safety product ay mixed ways, it is seldom that its safety is considered from planning a design. This thesis has suggested a way aimed at improving a safety of products through considering a stage of a plan, by searching and analyzing the design-process in to each steps.

  • Beginning from July. 2000, the product liability of Korea is designed for reduction of customer loss by defective products. Therefore, most of company are supposed to be ready for taking care of safety and quality of products. ISO9001:2000 quality management system reform to emphasize continual improvement of the process with customer satisfaction. First of all, this paper start with introduction motive of the product liability and examine distinctive mark of the ISO9001:2000 quality management system. We consider the correlation between ISO9001:2000 quality management system and product liability and would like to propose product liability prevention by ISO9001:2000 quality management system with classification a defect style of product, the management guide and the law case.

A Real-time Copper Foil Inspection System using Multi-thread (다중 스레드를 이용한 실시간 동판 검사 시스템)

  • The copper foil surface inspection system is necessary for the factory automation and product quality. The developed system is composed of the high speed line scan camera, the image capture board and the processing computer. For the system resource utilization and real-time processing, multi-threaded architecture is introduced. There are one image capture thread, 2 or more defect detection threads, and one defect communication thread. To process the high-speed input image data, the I/O overlap is used through the double buffering. The defect is first detected by the predetermined threshold. To cope with the light irregularity, the compensation process is applied. After defect detection, defect type is classified with the defect width, eigenvalue ratio of the defect covariance matrix and gray level of defect. In experiment, for high-speed input image data, real-time processing is possible with multi -threaded architecture, and the 89.4% of the total 141 defects correctly classified.

  • In the industrial manufacturing sector, quality control is pivotal for minimizing defect rates; inadequate management can result in additional costs and production delays. This study underscores the significance of detecting texture defects in manufactured goods and proposes a more precise defect detection technique. While the DFR(Deep Feature Reconstruction) model adopted an approach based on feature map amalgamation and reconstruction, it had inherent limitations. Consequently, we incorporated a new loss function using statistical methodologies, integrated a skip connection structure, and conducted parameter tuning to overcome constraints. When this enhanced model was applied to the texture category of the MVTec-AD dataset, it recorded a 2.3% higher Defect Segmentation AUC compared to previous methods, and the overall defect detection performance was improved. These findings attest to the significant contribution of the proposed method in defect detection through the reconstruction of feature map combinations.

  • As the global uncertainty of manufacturing has increased and the quality problem has become global, the recall has become a fatal risk that determines the durability of the company. In addition, as the convergence of PSS (product-service system) product becomes common due to the development of IT convergence technology, if the function of any part of hardware or software does not operate normally, there will be a problem in the entire function of PSS product. In order to manage the quality of such PSS products in a stable manner, a new approaches is needed to analyze and manage the hardware and software parts at the same time. However, the Fishbone diagram, FTA, and FMEA, which are widely used to interpret the current quality problem, are not suitable for analyzing the quality problem by considering the hardware and software at the same time. In this paper, a quality risk assessment model combining FTA and FMEA based on defect rate to be assessed daily on site to manage quality and fishbone diagram used in group activity to solve defective problem. The proposed FTA-FMEA based risk assessment model considers the system structure characteristics of the defect factors in terms of the relationship between hardware and software, and further recognizes and manages them as risk. In order to evaluate the proposed model, we applied the functions of ITS (intelligent transportation system). It is expected that the proposed model will be more effective in assessing quality risks of PSS products because it evaluates the structural characteristics of products and causes of defects considering hardware and software together.

  • In this paper asymptotic error expansions for mixed finite element approximations to a class of second order elliptic optimal control problems are derived under rectangular meshes, and the Richardson extrapolation of two different schemes and interpolation defect correction can be applied to increase the accuracy of the approximations. As a by-product, we illustrate that all the approximations of higher accuracy can be used to form a class of a posteriori error estimators of the mixed finite element method for optimal control problems.

  • Most truck fires breaking out on the expressway are directly damaged by fire destruction of truck and freight and many of them cause indirect damage such as serious traffic holdups. This study analyzed the fire causes and their liability of the 25-ton truck fire breaking out during expressway driving. This truck fire was caused by manufacturing defect of return spring of a braking system. The fire liability rested with a maker(manufacturer) rather than a truck owner or a driver and the maker also bore fire liability based on the Product Liability Law.

  • Considering in view of China's low price and Japan's high technology, the most important point is the quality of product. To increase the comparative power internationally all workingmen have to fulfill the responsibility to maximize the quality, and this is possible practiced under 'Zero Defect' spirit. To reduce the defect ratio to 'Zero' the workingmen have to recognize own fault, all the manufacturing process should be conducted under 'Fool Proof System', If done under this circumstances, then labor force can work comfortably and safely without nervousness and tiresome. The productivity and quality can increase ultimately and even foreign labor, imbecile child, old-aged labor can participate in work, which can reduce shortage of labor source. Therefore, in this study all defects in manufacturing process, it would be recognized the errors and mistakes caused by human.
