  • Recently, Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) has been attempting to modernize the review processes for generic drug products. Obviously, the modernization effort will lead to harmonize the guidelines in the process to the internationally acceptable level. In general, the Korean version of abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) consisted of similarly to those in developed countries (viz, specifications for bulk drug/preparation, bioequivalence, and stability); However, there exists a significant gap in the sophistication of the guidelines between the Korean version and those in the other countries. • Flash memories are one of best media to support portable computer's storages. However, we need to improve traditional data management scheme due to the relatively slow characteristics of flash operation as compared to RAM memory. In order to achieve this goal, we devise a new scheme called Flash Two Phase Locking (F2PL) scheme for efficient data processing. F2PL improves transaction performance by allowing multi version reads and efficiently handling slow flash write/erase operation in lock management process.

  • This paper presents a method for procedure-based on-line program replacement for user applications and illustrates the method in the SUN Solaris environment. In addition to developing procedures for directly changing the address space of a running process, the paper provides solutions on how to allocate space for the new version procedure and how to make the new version procedure work correctly in the old version process address space, when the size of new version procedure is different from that of old version, and thus facilitates procedure-based on-line software replacement. The method performs on-line program replacement using services provided by existing operating systems. Also, the method supports a small, procedure-based replacement and directly modifies necessary parts of a process address space, which results in small performance loss.

  • Software development process evolves by component based development(CBD) process and introduction to configuration management system is risen recently. In this paper, we explained component configuration management system evolved out of CBD methodology and focused on the specification management in component configuration management. The component specification is being based on XML that is a normalization document. Also, component version management and dependency management are achieved by a component name. And component dependency information is just the integration information using a component specification name used in the composition when component specification is composed. Thus we confirmed possibility of version management and dependency management using the specification.

  • This study explores the divergence of grounded theory focused on the differences of Glaser and Strauss. Grounded theory has been divided into two versions, Glaser version and Strauss version. Two versions are different in research methodology. Therefore, it is important for us to choose one of these two version. There are many grounded theory researches or qualitative researches by grounded theory approach in Korea. But Theses researches has been studied only Strauss version. Therefore this article introduces the differences of Glaser method and Strauss method in various aspects of research methods: basic logic of research process, core category and basic social process, and coding methods - especially axial coding, selective coding and theoretical coding. Glaser and Strauss argued differently in many aspects of grounded theory method.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean version of Person-Centered Practice Inventory-Staff (PCPI-S) for nurses. Methods: The English PCPI-S was translated into Korean with forward and backward translation. Data were collected from 338 nurses at one general hospital in Korea. Construct validity was evaluated with confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. Known-group validity was also evaluated. Cronbach's α was used to assess the reliability. Results: The PCPI-S Korean version consisted of 51 items in three areas: prerequisites, the care environment, and person-centered process. The comparative fit index (CFI) and values of person-centered care process were improved after engagement and having sympathetic presence items were combined as one component. The construct validity of PCPI-S Korean version was verified using four-factor structures (.05 < RMSEA < .10, AGFI > .70, CFI > .70, and AIC). The convergent validity and discriminant validity of the entire PCPI-S question were verified using a two-factor structures (AVE > .50, construct reliability > .70). There was an acceptable known-group validity with a significant correlation between the PCPI-S level and the degree of person-centered care awareness and education. Internal consistency was reliable with Cronbach's α .95. Conclusion: The Korean version of PCPI-S is valid and reliable. It can be used as a standardized Korean version of person-centered care measurement tool. Abbreviation: RMSEA = root mean square error of approximation; AGFI = adjusted goodness of fit index; AIC = Akaike information criterion; AVE = average variance extracted.

  • A process design was performed for a removal of acid gases using membrane-absorption hybrid system in LNG-FPSO. Commercial process simulator Promax version 4.0 was utilized for comparing acid gases removal capabilities of amine absorption process and hybrid process. Simulation results show hybrid process could be small amine solvent circulate rate, energy consumption, equipment sizing compared to typical amine absorption process. As a result, hybrid process which is small footprint and energy saving process may be a good solution for the pre-treatment of natural gas in LNG-FPSO.

  • This study suggests efficient production of game with spine tool that is 2D game tool. For this, the researcher studies process and efficiency of game development by focusing on production of a game "Shooting Monster" Version 1 in service of Google Store at present. Production tools in a contents field are sharply changed. In addition, these tools are automatized into new version and efficient product. These tools help manufacturers in increasing quality of contents and time efficiency. Therefore, the researcher examines understanding of development process of existing 2D game and problems in development stage of graphic character, and analyzes production stage of character animation using spine tool, so suggests effective process of production in terms of production. The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction about graphic efficiency of tool by accessing production process to train working-level talented people in 2D mobile game field.

  • In this paper, we introduce a second version of modified binary particle swarm optimization using a concept of genotype-phenotype in genetic algorithms. Particle swarm optimization uses an information of difference between a position of the best solution and one's own position in the process of searching optimum. To obtain this difference of positions, the first version of modified binary particle swarm optimization uses a phenotype but the proposed second version uses a genotype. We can represent the solution space in large search space by using a genotype which provides continuous whole space as search space compared to a phenotype which provides only binary information. Experimental results in 10 De Jong benchmark function show that the second version outperforms the first version in six functions which has a broad search space and many local optima.
