경화 압력이 접착 조인트의 비틀림 피로 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the curing pressure on the torsional fatigue characteristics of adhesively bonded joints)

  • Adhesive joints have been widely used for fastening thin adherends because they can distribute the load over a larger area than mechanical joints, require no hole, add very little weight to the structure and have superior fatigue resistance. However, the fatigue characteristics of adhesive joints are much affected by applied pressure during curing operation because actual curing temperature is changed by applied pressure and the adhesion characteristics of adhesives are very sensitive to manufacturing conditions. In this study, cure monitoring and torsional fatigue tests of adhesive joints with an epoxy adhesive were performed in order to investigate the effects of the applied pressure during curing operation. From the experiments, it was found that the actual curing temperature increased as the applied pressure increased, which increased residual thermal stress in the adhesive layer. Therefore, the fatigue life decreased as the applied pressure increased because the mean stress during fatigue tests increased due to the residual thermal stress.

  • The physicochemical characteristics, adhesion power, and conservation of imported tapes repairing documents that consisted of adhesive, carrier, and masking were investigated. Materials related to pressure sensitive adhesive produced in domestic companies were examined also. And then, the performance evaluation of prototype manufactured in our laboratory was undertaken. Both the pressure sensitive tapes were compared. The polyacrylate of adhesive agents such as polyacrylate, starch, Glue, and PVA of imported tapes was best. The adhesion strength, power, reversibility, and stability (deterioration) of imported tapes were analyzed. By comparing results of imported tapes, two adhesive agents were selected finally. The carriers of imported tapes are made of one of papers, cotton sheets, and felts. Major carrier material was a paper. The jutes, conifers, and hardwoods were main ingredient of papers. The durability of Hangi($18{\pm}2g/m^2$) was one and half times superior to imported one.

액상 이소프렌 고무가 자외선 경화형 아크릴 점착제의 점착 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Liquid Isoprene Rubber on the Adhesion Property of UV Curable Acrylic Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive)

  • 본 연구에서는 아크릴계 점착제를 합성한 후 이소프렌 액상고무를 블렌드하여 광기능성 시트에 적용될 점착제를 제조하였다. 아크릴 점착제의 모노머로는 butyl acrylate, acrylic acid, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate를 사용하였고 용매로는 톨루엔을 사용하였다. 고무계 모노머로는 isoprene 액상고무(LIR-50)를 사용하였고, 아크릴 점착제와의 배합량을 0 ~ 50 wt%로 하여 실험을 진행하였다. 결과에 따르면 LIR-50의 함량이 증가할수록 아크릴계 점착제의 최대 단점이었던 전사현상이 감소하였다. 그 이유는 이소프렌 액상고무의 경우 아크릴 점착제와 달리 극성기가 존재하지 않기 때문에 피착재와 이차결합이 발생하지 않아 경시변화에 따른 전사현상이 감소한 것으로 사료된다. 점착제의 자외선 경화 시 광개시제의 함량이 증가함에 따라, UV에 노출되는 시간이 증가함에 따라 점착제의 경화도가 높아지기 때문에 점착력과 전사현상이 감소하였다. 반면 유지력의 경우는 경화도가 증가하여 분자구조가 망상구조를 이루며 점착제 내부응집력이 증가하기 때문에 유지력은 증가하였다.

Penetration Enhancement of β2-Selective Agonist, Tulobuterol, Across Hairless Mouse Skin

  • The effects of various pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) and enhancers on the percutaneous absorption of tulobuterol were investigated. The permeation rate of tulobuterol through hairless mouse skin from various adhesives was evaluated using a flow-through diffusion cell system at $37^{\circ}C$. The permeability of tulobuterol was variable depending on the physicochemical property of the PSA. The permeation rate of tulobuterol from polyethylene oxide grafted acrylic adhesive matrix was higher than that from other PSA matrices. The flux of tulobuterol was $4.37{\pm}0.34\;{\mu}g/hr/cm^2$ from polyethylene oxide grafted acrylic adhesive matrix. When the effects of various enhancers on the percutaneous absorption of tulobuterol from grafted acrylic adhesive were evaluated, Plurol $oleique^{\circledR}$ showed higher flux than all other enhancers tested.

아크릴계 점착제의 제조 및 점착특성에 관한 연구 (Preparation and Characteristics of Acrylic Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives)

  • To prepare an acrylic type pressure-sensitive adhesive, quarternary polymers were synthesized from butyl acrylate (BA), 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate (2-EHA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), and 2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate (2-HEMA). The quarternary polymers were identified by FT-IR and Molecular weight was measured by Gel Pearmeation Chromatography. Also, viscosity, solid content and peel strength were examined. The peel strength was 160 $g_{f}/25$ mm when the volume ratio of feed monomer to solvent was 1.3:1, and the ratio was relevant to commercial usage. The pot life of adhesive was 30 sec at the 50 m/min of heat treatment rate at, and it indicated that the minimum drying time was 30 sec. In weathering resistance test, peel strength of $160{\sim}180$ $g_{f}/25$ mm after 1000 h, with no residual remains on the adhesive surface.

Seed 중합을 이용한 고고형분 수용성 점착제의 합성과 물성 (Property and Polymerization of Hi-solid PSA's using Seeded Polymerization)

  • 고 고형분 점착제의 점도 개선을 위해 seed 중합을 이용하여 수용성 저점도 점착제를 중합하였다. Seed 바인더 중합 중 최적 중합 조건을 산출하고, 점착제 중합 시 seed 바인더와 acrylic acid의 함량을 변화시켜 점도변화와 피착면에 대한 점착박리강도를 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 점착제 중합에서 seed 바인더의 함량이 7 wt%/monomer일 때 60%의 고형분에서 2,100 cps의 낮은 점도를 나타내고 평활한 점착제 필름을 제조할 수 있었다. Acrylic acid함량 변화에 따른 기계적 물성 측정에서는 4 wt%/monomer의 acrylic acid를 사용 했을 때 우수한 점착박리강도와 유지력을 나타내었다.

  • 친환경 건축자재에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라서 가구 및 건축 내외장재로 사용되는 목질복합재료에 대한 친환경적 성능에 대한 요구는 점차 커져가는 추세이다. 목질 복합재료는 일반적으로 그 자체로 사용하기 보다는 표면재를 붙여서 사용하는데 이때 사용되는 요소포름알데히드 접착제를 친환경적인 SIS계 핫벨트 점착제로 대체코자 하는 데 이 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기질고분자의 diblock 함량, 점착부여수지의 연화점 및 함량 등을 변화시키면서 여러 종류의 핫벨트 점착제를 제조하고 각각의 점착제에 의한 무늬목 부착성능을 평가함으로써 점착형 표면재에 대한 가능성을 제기하였다.
