The purpose of this study was to investigate visual evaluation according to various methods of motif presentation and the value contrast between the motif and background. The instruments developed for this purpose were two sets of stimuli and a response scale. the first set consisted of pattern stimuli. they were eight photographs of floral patterns constructed by using six different motif presentation methods and two different value contrasts. The second set had eight clothing stimuli, photographs of clothings with the above floral patterns. The 7-point sementic differential scale of 19 bipolar adjectives was used as the response scale. The data was analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA and T-test. The major findings from this study were as follows; 1. Four factors emerged to account for the dimensional structure of the floral pattern image. These factors were attractiveness, tenderness, attention, and maturity. among them attractiveness and tenderness were the major dimensions 2. The patterns and the clothings had no significant difference from each other in terms of attractiveness and tenderness, but in terms of maturity and attention. The pattern presented a cute and sober image, but the clothing presented mature and gorgeous image. 3. methods of motif presentation had significant effects on all the factors. The pattern by shading method gave the most attractive and soft image, the one by line the most soberest, the one by area the most gorgeous, the one by collage the most unattractive, hardest, and cutest, and the one by mosaics the maturest. 4. The value contrast between the motif and background had no significant effects on attractiveness and maturity, but on tenderness and attention. The patterns with a high valued background presented a soft image, but the one with a low valued background a hard image. The patterns with a low valued area presented gorgeous image.

In accommodation sharing economy, customers take a risk of uncertainty about product quality, which is an important factor affecting users' satisfaction. This risk can be lowered by the information disclosed by the facility provider. Self-presentation of the hosts can make a positive effect on listing performance by eliminating psychological distance through emotional interaction with users. This paper analyzed the self-presentation text provided by Airbnb hosts and found key aspects in the text. In order to extract the aspects from the text, host descriptions were separated into sentences and applied the Attention-Based Aspect Extraction method, an unsupervised neural attention model. Then, we investigated the relationship between aspects in the host description and the listing performance via linear regression models. In order to compare their impact between the three facility types(Entire home/apt, Private rooms, and Shared rooms), the interaction effects between the facility types and the aspect summaries were included in the model. We found that specific aspects had positive effects on the performance for each facility type, and provided implication on the marketing strategy to maximize the performance of the shared economy.

The 2011 Japanese Society of Turfgrass Science was divided in oral presentation, sectional meeting and small symposium, and the total 55 subject was announced. The oral presentation was reported physiological ecology of turf, disease and weed; field management; pesticidal activity and spectrum of new turf pesticides. Above all, there was presentation that investigated control method of necrotic ring spot of new turf disease and Cyperus brevifolius, annual bluegrass and mouse-ear chickweed. In addition, the control effect of new registration fungicide (Furametpyr) and herbicides (S-metolachlor, Flucetosulfuron and Foramsulfuron) were announced. There was various information interchange through 4 kinds of subjects of a golf course, ground turf, a urban park greens and ground cover plants greening by the sectional meeting, and the genetic resource of turfgrass discussed by small symposium. Specially, park greens sectional meeting was announced about the radioactive material contaminated on mechanism and effectively removal method of the radioactivity contaminant from public park, school ground and domestic lawn.

This paper presents the design scheme of transformer for backlight inverter and discuss the characteristics related to its design, including driving inverter. A few studies have so far been made at design and characteristics analysis of transformer. Therefore, this paper manages the presentation of the advisable design methodology of transformer for backlight inverter supplying CCFL. To verify the proposed method, this paper accomplishes the analysis by FEM coupled with circuit and finally shows that the proposed design method is very useful.

Value Engineering has been recognized by many companies as a powerful and innovative techniques approach for cost down and improvement in function of product and service. Functional evaluation is the most important progress in VE activities. But it is often difficult to evaluate the function of a certain subject because the evaluation of function is very vague. This paper presents a new functional evaluation method using fuzzy theory. The purpose of this proposed method is the improvement in the precision of functional evaluation.

Divide knots and links, defined by A'Campo in the singularity theory of complex curves, is a method to present knots or links by real plane curves. The present paper is a sequel of the author's previous result that every knot in the major subfamilies of Berge's lens space surgery (i.e., knots yielding a lens space by Dehn surgery) is presented by an L-shaped curve as a divide knot. In the present paper, L-shaped curves are generalized and it is shown that every knot in the minor subfamilies, called sporadic examples of Berge's lens space surgery, is presented by a generalized L-shaped curve as a divide knot. A formula on the surgery coefficients and the presentation is also considered.

In making animation product, it is utmost important to produce comic scene using emphasis and exaggeration. This study aims to research on the comic presentation of animation through application of exaggeration and prominence. First, it suggests going under image extraction experiment and moving-shot-method as a mode of measuring three dimensional shot. Moreover, an analysis of the product of three dimensional shot of animation suggests a comic effect.

The phonetic study of English language in Japan is a matter of great importance, a problem of major concern and a. vital subject The special difficulties which the Japanese college students have in learning English lie in the field of prosodic features of English, such as, syllable, rhythm, stress, intonation, prominence, of.. These difficulties have made Japanese students' pronunciation relatively monotonous or mora(ness). In my presentation, the specific phonetic features of Japanese language first will be discussed and clarified. And then the effective teaching method of intonation to improve Japanese students' pronunciation will be suggested. Finally, the oral dialogue with intonation analysis and transcription in the class room will be demonstrated to highlight the presentation.

Design subjects have become popular in the engineering education. In these subjects, an active learning skill was introduced to students. Students have to decide a theme and the way how to study it and to find answers by themselves. This learning method was developed in the early year courses in the University of Tokushima. The common learning curriculum among whole university adopted this design subjects from 2005 of the school year and eleven more new subjects started. "Roots finding" is one of them and the objectives are to gain abilities of self-study through the research on a particular subject, and make report then presenting them. Self-learning ability, research ability and presentation skills were enhanced through this subject.

The purpose of this dissertation is to make the general korean speakers to learn the standard pronunciations. But it is in existence that the obstructions of the command of the standard pronunciations. They are the mistake in the education course on the korean pronunciations, the teacher's capability and the mass communications's duplicity. To overcome this obstructions, we must concentrate our efforts on the propagation of the standard pronunciations. To propagate of the standard pronunciations we can take a several method. These are the presentation of the pronunciation mistakes, audio-visual teaching, the presentation of the pronunciation principles and the use of the korean dictionary. The standard pronunciations are different from the pronunciations of the general korean speakers in many respects. So we can't make an accurate estimate of the pronunciation's changes. No one knows what will happen in the future about the korean pronunciations. But we must teach the standard pronunciations to the general korean speakers. The standard pronunciations are offically valid in the present time.
