A preliminary study of genetic structure and relatedness analysis of Nutria (Myocastor coypus) in Upo Wetland

  • Nutria Myocastor coypus is one of a well known invasive riparian mammal found species around world from North America to Eurasia and Africa. In South Korea, feral nutrias inhabit areas from the Nakdonggang and Namgang (River) to their tributaries and Upo Wetland where they have had devastating effects on environment. Nevertheless, there has been little research about nutrias in Korea. This study is to analyze the genetic structure of the nutria population in the Upo Wetland and identify the origin of the source populations. Twenty individuals from the Upo Wetland were genotyped using 25 microsatellite loci. When compared with another introduced population, that of the Blackwater Nation Wildlife Refuge in U.S., the Upo population contains considerable genetic variations. Tests for Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and Bayesian clustering analysis suggest the Upo population is genetically structured and has at least two source populations. This preliminary study presents the need for further in-depth studies about this species which should combine genetic and ecological studies.

  • Railway is superior to the other land transportation systems in aspects of environmental problems. Environmental problems are not considered during a preliminary feasibility study. Investment for railway is low because of low B/C(benefit/cost)ratio in the economical efficiency analysis during the preliminary feasibility study. The body of this paper studies the railway noise which can reflect environmental problems an assessment of environmental impact. The body of this paper studies the presumption of The Benefit Cost of railroad noise arresting it will be able to reflect the evaluation environmental matter of the effect which it gives to an environment.

초등학교 남녀 학생의 적응능력 증진을 위한 기초연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Children’s Adjustment Ability Progress Program)

  • The purpose of this study were to investigate the sex difference of the perceived social support and to identify relation between children’s social support and children’s adjustment ability. So, It is intended to propose the preliminary data for children’s adjustment ability progress program. Subjects of this study were 412 children from the 5th and 6th grades of elementary school. The results were as follows: Sex difference of perceived social support level were partially found. Also, There were significant relations between social support and adjustment. Specially, maternal and peer support levels were most highly correlated to boy’s adjustment. Father, mother, teacher and peer support levels were highly correlated to girl’s adjustment. In conclusion, children’s social support can be recognized as significant variable in predicting the adjustment of children.

  • Fuzzy control has emerged as a practical alternative to classical control schemes in controlling certain time-varying, nonlinear, and ill-defined processes. As the current of this kind of a research paradigm, we concluded that there is a need for application study of a fuzzy control theory to the flight control systems of small aircraft being to be developed at KARI. And then, this preliminary study was carried out to the automatic landing system of the canard aircraft (Firefly) for the purpose of the preparation of extension of research contents and various application areas, in which FMRLC was chosen as the fuzzy controller of the system.

  • In this study, actual status of safety management for the objects of 173 university, government research institution, and corporate affiliated research center was carried out through questionnaires. For unexpected accident status according to kinds, scale, and types of laboratories, frequency analysis using cross analysis and multiple replies analysis was used. The result of this study is judged to be used for laboratory safety education prevention programs, laboratory environment improvement, investment or improvement of laboratories through the actual safety management status of laboratories such as vulnerable works for generation of unexpected sudden accidents according to kind, scale, and type of laboratories, period of occurrence, prevention education, necessity for preliminary test, and cause of laboratory accidents.

  • A construction method allowing exterior insulation working to be carried out simultaneously with vertical structural work through modification of the temporary vertical system form could be a breakthrough to invigorate exterior insulation construction in high-rise apartments. Therefore, the purpose of this study, as a preliminary study for developing such a method, was to derive significant engineering characteristics (E.C) using QFD which can reflect the users' need for E.C. Based on this result, a construction method will be developed in further research.

  • Trouble by excessive axial stress in CWR layed on a bridge is frequently happen, and this problem is induced from lack of considering on the track/structure interface on preliminary design stage. In this study, the sensitivity evaluation for the major influencing parameters, that is, expansion length of span, stiffness of super structure, arrangement of bearing, and strength of sub-structure, to the axial force in CWR on a bridge is conducted. From the sensitivity study, the guideline to reduce axial force efficiently in CWR for bridge engineer was suggested. The suggested guideline may not applicable for every case, but it is helpful for preliminary design of bridge.

  • The purpose of this study was to study on the estimation of green remodeling energy reduction tool in building construction. Green Remodeling Decision System that can predict the energy reduction effect in green remodeling is developed as a tool for simple remodeling of green remodeling considering users' convenience, so that it can quickly and comprehensively determine power peak load reduction factor technology. A preliminary simulation result of a short preliminary remodeling evaluation is DB. It will be developed as a tool that can be easily accessed by users such as web and apps.

An Analysis of the Senior Employment Programs for Wellness in Changwon City based on Blended Return On Investment

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the economic and social impact of the SEP in which the elderly participate by using the blended return on investment (BROI), economic return on investment (EROI), and social return on investment (SROI) research methods. And the sustainable conditions of SEP were confirmed. This study was conducted with one market-type SEP approved by the Korea Elderly Labor Force Development Institute (KLFDI), one preliminary social enterprise approved by Changwon City Hall, and one market-type SEP operated by a social welfare center for the elderly. As a result of the study, it was found that EROI, SROI, and BROI were the highest in the SEP of preliminary social enterprises operated by subsidies in Changwon.However, the difference between EROI and SROI was greatest in the market-type SEP operated by the elderly social welfare center. There was a big difference between economic and social impacts. The social influence of the elderly was evaluated to be higher than the income of the elderly.

  • Construction robotics is rapidly forming a market in conjunction with the development of sensing and artificial intelligence technologies. The layout work for accurately constructing the shape and dimensions of the building frame requires high accuracy and precision, and is one of the high demands for productivity and quality improvement through construction automation. Thus, as a preliminary study, we derived the elemental factors and performance requirements for developing an automated layout robot. In addition, alternatives on driving and marking units were investigated based on literature review and practioner's interview. The result of this study will be used as a basic data for the layout robot design.
