This study explored the socialization of novice Home Economics(HE) teachers employing a qualitative research method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with four novice HE teachers from secondary schools. The collected data was analyzed inductively by NVivo, a kind of CAQDAS. The following analysis was organized around three stages of teachers' careers: first, as for influences on teacher socialization prior to formal teacher education, their experiences on 'apprenticeship of observation' provided them both positive and negative role models; second, as for the socialization role of pre-service teacher education, they mentioned that college courses were poorly connected to classroom realities with only a few helpful lectures on HE Education; third, as for socialization in the workplace and its culture, the novice HE teachers were confronted with many kinds of problems including isolation in the classroom, in-service training programs not geared to novices, an overwhelming workload, and so on. Because of these problems, they yearned for and also formed networks with other HE teachers in order to overcome their limitations. The findings supported the notion that interactive and dialectical processes exist during all stages of HE teachers' careers. This study suggests that the teacher in-service training programs are more relevant, and that the introduction of mentoring programs and classroom manuals and teacher manuals would be helpful in practice. These innovations call for cooperation between universities and provincial offices of education for teachers' professional success in teacher socialization.

This study examines the family concept and family-related values among pre-service home economics teachers. Questionnaires are completed by 242 pre-service home economics teachers. The results indicate that the respondents defined the family as a blood ties, a resting place, affection, and warmth. They tend to regard divorced, remarried, and adopted members as families, while classifying homosexual couples, members living together in a communal fashion, and great-great grandparents into nonfamily groups. Majority of them agree that it had better to get married or it depends on personal circumstances. In terms of cohabitation, they think it can be an opportunity to check the compatibility before marriage. Also, they perceive parenthood as a personal lifestyles, statement of social maturation, sound mind, and realization of morality. They agreed to divorce relatively high in case of unfaithfulness and relative troubles, but agreement of divorce was relatively low because of instrumental reason and psychological factors, The group majoring clothing and textile perceives the most negatively the influence of divorce to children. Further discussion and implications are discussed.

Gender equity education is ineffective in a public school system even though gender equity education is a current issue in South Korean education. One of the problems is attributed to teacher education because no better gender equity education can be accomplished without teacher preparation. Therefore, the effectiveness of teachers is a very important keyword in teacher education. This study examines learning experience, gender equity value, teacher preparation for gender equity education of pre-service teachers in Gonju, South Korea, the factors that influence teacher preparation for gender equity education, and the instruction of gender equity. A survey was delivered to pre-service teachers in 2008, and the data of 350 pre-service teachers were analyzed. MANOVA and Multiple Regressions were used for analyzing the data. The results will contribute to the development of effective teacher education for gender equity education and information on a partnership between the family and the public school system that is centered on gender equity education.

This study explores the critical reflection process experienced by home economics preservice teachers during practicum. Data were collected in a critical analysis of class, practicum review, and journals written by sixteen preservice teachers. Text material were composed of 188 transcripts on A4 paper and 36 page of mini-notes. The collected data were analyzed by a thematic coding method in qualitative research and proceeded in the order of three steps of transference, coding, and subject discovery. The emerging themes were: 1) Observing class 2) Practicing class 3) Growth of class practice 4) Reflecting class. First, the observing class was an exploration process through the viewing of daily classes that involved the process of recognizing the classroom situation and various classroom contexts. Second, the practicing class was to strengthen the consideration of the class to form a relationship that could lead to learning in educational situations. Third, the growth of class practice was intended to recognize the orientation of the subject matter with pedagogical content knowledge. Four, the reflecting class was the process of experiencing practice with a continuous understanding of the class, class reflection, and changing the perspective from the current status. There is a part where critical reflection is difficult to be promoted deeply during 4 weeks; however, there was a possibility of a reflection practice that could promote achievement through the experience of a practicing class.

본 연구는 2019년 5월 중에 J 지역 예비교사 270명을 대상으로 설문지법에 의해 의생활 라이프스타일이 교사의복에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 파악함으로써 교직의복문화의 교육적 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 자료분석을 위하여 SPSS 24.0 Program을 이용하여 요인분석, Cronbach's α 신뢰도 계수, t검증, 일원변량분석과 Duncan의 다중비교검증, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 중등학교 예비교사의 의생활 라이프스타일은 패션유행지향, 의복중요성지향, 매력적 외모지향, 경제성지향 요인으로, 또한 교사의복에 대한 태도는 활동성, 유행성, 정숙성 요인으로 유형화되었다. 둘째, 중등학교 예비교사의 의생활 라이프스타일, 교사의복에 대한 태도는 인구통계학적 변인인 성별, 학년에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 셋째, Z세대인 중등학교 예비교사의 의생활 라이프스타일은 교사의복에 대한 태도에 영향을 주는 것을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로, 이제까지의 교사의복에 대한 고정관념에서 벗어나 교사의 변화하는 라이프스타일에 따라 의복을 착용하고 교직을 수행하는 교직의복문화가 형성되어져야 하겠다.

The purpose of this study was to identify a causal relationship in the career preparation behavior, parental social support, career decision making self-efficacy and the career maturity of the pre-service elementary school teachers. A total of 374 questionnaires were used for data analysis, excluding the 23 copies deemed insincere in response. To ensure the reliability and validity of the questions, technical statistics of the frequency, ratio, average, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis via PASW 18.0, item-total correlation, the totality, and the reliability analysis. The structural analysis via AMOS 7.0 in the bootstrapping method was undertaken to perform the path analysis among the variables and to assess the suitability of the model. The findings of the study led to the following conclusions: First, the causal model for the career preparation behavior, parental social support, career decision making self-efficacy, and the career maturity of the pre-service elementary school teachers is suitable to empirical analysis on research variables. Second, the career decision making self-efficacy of pre-service elementary teachers has direct effect on career preparation behavior positively. Third, parental social support of the pre-service elementary teachers has indirect effects on the career preparation behavior positively.

본 연구는 예비 가정과교사들의 남북한 간 문화적 차이에 대한 이해도와 수용을 고양시킴으로써 중등학교의 학생들을 대상으로 북한의 가정생활문화에 대한 수업을 할 수 있도록 준비시키는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 문헌고찰을 통하여 북한의 가정생활문화의 전반적 측면들을 반영하도록 내용을 개발하였다. 이 프로그램은 교사양성기관의 가정교육과 학부학생들 35명을 대상으로 실시되었다. 프로그램은 15차시의 150분짜리 수업으로 구성되었다. 첫 3회의 수업은 가정생활문화와 다문화주의를 정의하고, 남북간의 관계에 대한 역사적 고찰을 포함하는 도입 수업으로 이루어졌다. 이후의 9차시 동안에는 북한의 가정생활문화를 5개의 영역(소비 및 여가생활, 가족생활 및 양육, 식생활, 주생활, 의생활)으로 나누어 다루었다. 마지막 2차시 동안에는 예비교사들이 설계한 교수-학습과정안을 가지고 수업실연을 하는 시간을 가졌다. 프로그램의 평가를 위하여 사전-사후 검사가 실시되었으며, 전반적인 교수 효능감과 문화적 차이에 대한 이해도의 변화를 대응표본 t-검증으로 검증하였다. 사전-사후 검사의 결과에 따르면, 이 프로그램은 예비교사들의 남북한 가정생활문화에 대한 이해와 수용을 고양하는 데 효과적인 것으로 평가되었다.

교육실습을 통해 교사자질에 어떤 변화가 있는 지 알아보고자 중 고등학교에서 교육실습에 참여한 교육실습생 98명(사범계열 40명, 일반 교직이수자 58명)을 대상으로 4주간에 걸쳐 교육 실습 전, 후에 따른 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 교육실습 전 예비중등교사는 유능한 교사자질 5가지 영역에 대하여 교직관 영역에 대하여 가장 높은 점수를 보였으며, 사범계열 전공자들의 경우, 전반적으로 일반 교직 이수자들에 비해 유의적으로 높은 경향을 보였다(p<.001) 나타냈다. 교육실습 후 교사자질에 대한 5가지영역(교직전문능력, 교과지도능력, 학급관리능력, 교사인성, 교사태도)에서 모두 유의적으로 증가한 것으로 나타났다(p<.001). 사범계열 전공자의 경우, 교사자질에 대한 5가지 영역에서 모두 실습 후 유의적으로 증가한(p<.001) 반면, 일반 교직이수자는 교사로서의 태도 영역에서는 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그러므로 예비 증등교원의 교사 자질 함양을 위하여서는 교육실습을 통한 교사교육 과정의 내실화가 요구되며 특히 일반 교직이수자들의 경우는 교사로서의 태도에 관한 영역의 강화가 필요함을 제시할 수 있다.

본 연구는 교육실습 동안 가정과 예비교사의 수업 상황에서 언어 상호작용을 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 4명의 가정과 예비교사를 대상으로 수업참여 관찰을 한 이후 녹화된 자료를 AF 분석을 활용하여 분석하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정과 예비교사의 언어 상호작용을 항목별로 살펴보면 교사의 '강의', '비언어적 상황', 교사의 '질문' 순으로 높게 나타났다. 학습자의 '긍정적인 학습 분위기 조성', '칭찬이나 격려' 항목에서는 빈도가 낮게 나타났으며 학습자에게 '지시' 혹은 '학생 비판이나 교사의 권위를 정당화'는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 둘째, 수업 상호작용의 형태는 '교사의 질문-학생의 반응적인 발언' 혹은 '강의-질문'의 형태로 나타났으며 마지막 수업에서는 '교사의 질문-학생의 주도적인 발언', '강의-교사의 질문-칭찬이나 격려, 학생의 아이디어 수용 및 활용' 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 수업에서 지수 경향은 전체적으로 비지시적인 경향을 띠며, 학습자의 발언에 허용적으로 나타났다. 교사의 질문비가 높고 첫 수업에서 학생의 발언비와 넓은 답변비는 낮게 나타났으나 마지막 수업에서는 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 전문가 분석에서 수업 운영에 대한 질문과 확산형 질문이 증가하였으며 교사는 학생들의 학습활동을 안내하고 학생들은 교사의 질문에 대하여 확산적인 사고를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 예비교사들이 교과 지식의 전달을 촉진하고 학생과 적극적인 언어 상호작용이 이루어지도록 자기수업 분석과 함께 현장에서의 적극적인 지원이 요구된다.

본 연구의 목적은 메타버스 플랫폼 활용 가정과 수업을 설계하고 적용하여 예비 가정과교사들의 디지털 리터러시를 향상시키는데 있다. 이를 위해 예비 가정과교사를 위한 '가정교재연구 및 지도법' 수업 중 6차시를 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 수업으로 설계하여 적용하여 효과성을 분석하였다. 먼저 분석단계에서는 메타버스 플랫폼과 연계한 수업 가능성을 탐색하고, 대학에서 적용가능한 메타버스 플랫폼 활용수업 사례를 분석하였다. 설계와 개발 단계에서는 다양한 메타버스 플랫폼에서 가정교재연구 및 지도법 수업의 TBL, 토의수업, 문제해결수업을 운영하였다. 평가 단계에서는 수업만족도에 대한 설문조사 결과를 실시하여 사전 조사와 비교분석하였다. 연구 결과, 대부분의 학습자가 메타버스 플랫폼 활용 수업에 대해 수업 만족도가 높았고, 학습자-교수자 간 상호작용과 실제 수업사례의 실재감 부분에서 수업의 효과성이 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 다양한 메타버스 플랫폼을 활용한 가정과 수업이 개발되고 학교현장에서 적용되어 수업의 실재성을 높일 수 있는 기회로 확산되길 기대한다.
