시뮬레이션 실습에서 학습성과 평가도구의 신뢰도 및 타당도 -여성건강 간호학 실습에서 비판적 추론과정을 통한 간호과정 적용(학습성과)을 중심으로- (The Reliability and Validity of the Evaluation Tool for the Performance Outcomes in Simulation Practicum -Focused on 'Applying Nursing Process through Critical Thinking' in Women's Health Nursing Simulation Practicum -)

  • 본 연구는 여성건강간호학 시뮬레이션 실습교육에서 비판적 추론과정을 통한 간호과정 적용의 학습성과에 기반한 시뮬레이션 실습교육 평가를 위해 개발된 루브릭 형태의 도구에 대해 신뢰도와 타당도를 확인하기 위한 방법론적 연구이다. 본 연구의 대상자는 2014년 8월부터 12월까지 일 대학 시뮬레이션 실습교과를 이수한 간호학과 3학년 재학생 110명으로 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석 및 관련변인과의 상관분석을 실시하였다. 요인분석 결과 총 10문항 4요인 구조가 확인되었으며 '인지', '해석', '반응', '반영'으로 구분되었다. 비판적 사고 경향 도구와의 상관분석을 실시한 결과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타나 비판적 사고와 관련된 학습성과에 기반한 평가도구의 준거타당도를 확인하였다. 수렴타당도와 판별타당도를 살펴보기 위해 다속성-다문항 매트릭스 분석을 실시한 결과 10개 문항과 4개 요인구조 간 개별 상관계수가 .83~.95로 수렴타당도와 판별타당도가 충족되었다. 내적일관성을 나타내는 신뢰도 Cronbach's alpha 값은 .89로 높게 나타나 본 도구의 타당도와 신뢰도가 높음을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과는 임상실습 교육을 시뮬레이션 실습교육으로 대체하고 있는 현실에서 시뮬레이션 교육과정에서 학습성과 달성을 위한 평가도구로 타당도와 신뢰도를 확인함으로써 시뮬레이션 실습 평가도구로서 적용 가능성을 제시하였다는 것에 의의가 있다 하겠다.

The Nature of a Method Course for Prospective Secondary Mathematics Teachers

  • Through this study, we aimed to capture the nature of a mathematics method course, called "the Curriculum Development and Teaching Methods in Mathematics Education" which is a pedagogy course for teaching for secondary school mathematics taught at a university located in a south eastern part of South Korea. The research participants include three junior students who took the methods course and a local high school math teacher with two professors. The research has three parts. First, we designed a method course to prepare the junior or senior students for a teaching practicum. The individual students gave a mini lecture about a secondary mathematical topic as a course requirement. Second, the three students watched a classroom video-clip of the high school teacher and analyzed his instruction before the actual classroom visits. Furthermore, by "Let's Learn" program for students, the course was associated with a local community through the students and so that they could visit the teacher's classroom three times to observe his math classroom teaching. The students discussed the difference between their own mini lectures and the actual math classroom teaching to develop an understanding of what it entails to teach an actual math class. Third, the first author supervised the students' activities in the program including their report for it to bring out their findings to the class of the method course. We found out this method course provided the students with the experience of various aspects of actual math lesson as well as learning theories about the pedagogy for teaching for secondary school mathematics. We conclude that this course gives a model for the method course in mathematics education for secondary school mathematics.

가상현실 기반 여성건강간호학 실습교육이 메타인지와 비판적 사고에 미치는 효과: 혼합연구 방법 (Effect of Virtual Reality Women Health Nursing Practicum on Meta-cognition and Critical Thinking: Mixed Method Study)

  • 본 연구에서는 간호 대학생이 가상현실을 적용하여 여성건강간호학 실습 교육과정을 적용한 후 메타인지와 비판적 사고에 미치는 교육효과를 질적, 양적으로 혼합연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 설계는 단일군 사전사후 검증을 사용한 양적 연구와 개별 심층 면담을 활용하여 내용 분석한 질적 연구를 활용한 수렴적 혼합연구이다. 양적 연구 결과 메타인지는 가상현실 프로그램 적용 후에 사후 104.16±12.98, 사전 98.59±18.09 (t=1.85, p=.030)로 사후 점수가 사전 점수에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다. 비판적 사고능력은 프로그램 적용 후에 사후 101.66±7.18, 사전 99.18±15.13 (t=1.00, p=.108)로 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그러므로 가상현실을 활용한 여성건강간호학 실습 교육은 간호대학생의 메타인지를 증진하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있어 간호학 실습 교육으로 활용할 가치가 있다.

임상실습 중인 간호학생의 손 위생 시점 동영상 실습교육의 효과 (Effect of Video Education on the Moment of Hand Hygiene among Nursing student in Clinical Practicum.)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 임상실습 중인 간호학생들에게 손 위생 시점에 관한 동영상 프로그램을 적용한 후 손 위생 시점지식과 수행을 검정하는 유사실험연구로 비동등성 대조군 전후 설계이다. 방법 : 2017년 3월 2일부터 6월 30일까지 3개 간호대학 92명의 학생들을 실험군 44명, 대조군 48명으로 나누어 자료를 수집했다. 결과 : 1) 손 위생 시점 동영상 실습교육프로그램 교육 후 손 위생 지식은 실험군이 대조군보다 높았다(t =6.30, p <.001). 2) 손 위생 시점 동영상 실습교육프로그램 교육 후, 손 위생 시점 지식은 실험군이 대조군보다 높았다(t =6.34, p <.001). 3) 손 위생 시점 동영상 실습교육프로그램 교육 후, 손 위생 수행은 실험군이 대조군보다 높았다(t =3.82, p <.001). 4) 손 위생 시점에 관한 지식과 손 위생 수행은 상관관계가 있었다(r =.458, p <.001). 결론 : 손 위생 시점 동영상 교육 프로그램은 손 위생 시점에 대한 지식과 손 위생 수행 향상에 효과적인 중재임을 알 수 있었다.

유전상담 전문간호사 교육프로그램 개발에 대한 문헌고찰 (Literature Review of Development of the Genetic Counseling Education Program for Genetic Specialized Nurse)

  • Purpose: With post-Genome Project, nurses must be able to incorporate genetic knowledge into their practice. The purpose of the present study aimed at providing the basic information needed to establish an education program for the training of nurses specialized in genetic counseling by comparing and analyzing the education contents in genetics of the various domestic and foreign nursing education institutions, identifying the problems of the existing programs, and investigating the current state of domestic genetic counseling programs. Result: The results of literature review were summarized as follows: Common curricula contents in Korea, Japan and U.S.A. were basic genetic knowledge, genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis. However, In Korea the curriculum was not included legal, ethical, and social issues. In U.S.A. the course was focused on health promotion related to genetics. The expanded role of nurses is to provide the genetic counseling for clients and their families. So, this articles provided a sample of the new genetic counseling program for nurses which are included basic genetics, genetic counseling, nurse's role and knowledge, legal, ethical, social issues and practicum. Conclusion: this study suggests that this educational program is to brought up genetic specialized nurses in the master's course in the near future.

보건교육사 교과목의 개발과정

  • Objectives: This study describes the development process of courses for health education specialists. The history, background, development process, and contents of courses for health education specialists are described. Results and Conclusion: In order to enhance the course implementation and training for health education specialists, the followings should be considered: First, the course and examination requirements for Health Education Specialist Level 3 should be increased. Second, requirement policies for elective courses should be revised. Third, health education practicum requirements should be specified, including specific training contents, types of participating training organizations, and the number of hours required. Fourth, support should be made available for revision and improvement of the courses such as Health Program Planning and Evaluation, Health Education Methods, Health Program Management, Health Communication, and Health Ethics.

시스템 사고기반 울혈성 심부전 간호교육 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of a System Thinking-Based Approach with the Use of a Patient Simulator in Nursing Education : Focus on Congestive Heart Failure)

  • This study aims to explore the development and application of a simulated skills package designed to improve nursing students' knowledge integration and their system thinking(ST) skills about congestive heart failure(CHF) and to identify the change in students' ST levels using a ST-based learning approach. A simulated learning support package was developed by nurse educators and ST experts. The developed program was implemented with 35 third-year nursing students from S university in Seoul. The subjects improved their ST skills regarding CHF after intervention. Mean test scores for students completing the program were significantly higher than pre-intervention scores, including measures of direction of causality, polarity of causal relationship, feedback loop, polarity of feedback loop (reinforcing, balancing) and time delay (t=2.26~6.53, p=.030~p<.001). It is suggested that more educational programs be developed on various topics in order for nursing students to improve their ST skills as well as knowledge integration in clinical nursing practicum packages.

학습성과 기반 성인간호 임상실습 운영을 위한 임상시나리오 및 루브릭 개발 (Development of Clinical Scenarios and Rubrics for a Program Outcome-based Evaluation for Students' Adult Health Nursing Practice)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to develop frequently-used clinical scenarios and scoring rubrics to assess core basic nursing skills in adult health nursing clinical practice for clinical evaluation based on program learning outcomes (PO). Methods: This study was a methodological research combining focus group interviews and questionnaires to select and construct scenarios. Data were collected from clinical practitioners, adult health nursing professors, and new nurses from November, 2013 to April, 2014. The developed scenarios and rubrics were applied to nursing students by way of showing an example. Results: The 12 frequently-used clinical scenarios were developed. The proportion of the evaluation rubrics were 30% for clinical instructors where as 70% for college instructors. In order for students to achieve the important learning outcomes from the courses for clinical practice, four program outcomes (POs) were selected as well as a rubric for each POs was developed. Students who had situation-based clinical practices showed higher levels of satisfaction on mastery of core basic nursing skills and communication skills. Conclusion: This findings of the study suggested the strategies for complementing pitfalls in clinical setting and achieving PO during students' clinical practicum.

유전간호교육 교과과정에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Curriculum of Genetics Nursing Education)

  • Purpose: This study was undertaken to establish the framework for development of the curriculum of genetics in Nursing Education. Methods: The Internet search, literature review of the US system of genetic nurses, genetic graduate nursing education programs and curricula for nurse in Korea were reviewed and analyzed. Results: American Nurses genetic system consists of APNG and the GCS and all the APNG credential provided by the GNCC of ISONG. The curriculums of genetic nursing education in the US are mainly conducted in of master's program and genetically related subjects consists of basic genetics subjects, basic applied genetics subjects, genetics in nursing subjects and practical training subjects. Lastly a genetic nursing education program in Korea 44 hr of lectures and practical training of 4 hr is composed of basic genetics, genetic cancer, genetics in nursing and practicum in the computer lab and online include family history assessment, pedigree construction, breast and colorectal cancer risk calculations, and ELSI discussions. Conclusion: This study suggested that genetic nursing education course needs in master's program as detailed subjects. Also the establishment of the genetic nurse system is an urgent needed.

신생아 건강사정 직접실습이 간호학생의 간호수행능력과 자기효능감에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Direct Practice of Newborn Health Assessment on Students' Nursing Clinical Competence and Self-Efficacy)

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine the effect of direct practice of newborn health assessment on nursing student's clinical competence and self-efficacy and to propose effective strategies for clinical education on newborn care. Methods: Design was a nonequivalent control group quasi-experimental study. The direct practice program was composed of a lecture, demonstration, drill and feedback using a manikin, and repeated direct practice regarding newborn health assessment. Participants were 65 student nurses taking the pediatric nursing practicum in the nursery room at M hospital. The experimental group (n=33) participated in the direct practice program for newborn health assessment and the control group (n=32) received the traditional practice method. Nursing clinical competence was assessed by two nurse investigators and structured questionnaires were used to measure self-efficacy. Results: The experimental group's clinical competence was significantly higher than that of the control group (t=-4.82, p=.000). However no significant difference was found between the two groups for self-efficacy (t=1.264, p=.211). Conclusion: These findings indicate that the direct practice program is effective in improving nursing student's clinical competence, but it was not effective in increasing self-efficacy. Direct practice in various clinical education settings is recommended and longitudinal effects be evaluated.
