Recently, product mobility, data compatibility and communication connectivity have become very important to the control system, depending on the application of smart manufacturing. Accordingly, embedded systems are essential in all industries including home appliances, telecommunication, and national defense. Therefore, the demand for embedded system development personnel is increasing further, and education and training programs are needed to combine the practical skills of industrial sites, including programming skills and hardware. Currently, embedded system education offers a variety of education centered on Aduino, but this is mostly for beginners and is not sufficient for majors. In addition, while various prototype studies related to embedded systems are active, the training and training programs for working-level human resources needed at industrial sites are very scarce. Therefore, in order to foster the working personnel of the embedded system for the application of smart manufacturing, this paper selected the capability unit through in-depth interviews and survey analysis of 10 experts based on NCS, and developed education and training programs and contents.

This study was done to compare the educational effects of two nursing students groups, CPR theoretical and practical education versus CPR theoretical education only. It would be used as a basis for more effective CPR training of future nursing students. The subjects in study were 72 nursing students in D college D city, from august 22 to august 24, 2011. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS WIN 18.0 program for the frequency, percentage, $x^2$-test, t-test and paired t-test. On the findings of this study, CPR training improved not only CPR performance but also self-efficacy in the both groups. Especially, the combination with theoretical and practical education was seen as a more effective methods. Therefore, combinational training would be required for more effective CPR training, rather than focusing on training for improving their simple knowledge. Furthermore, it will help nursing students to perform quickly and accurately CPR in unforeseen situations.
In preparing for the unification of North and South Korea, rather than unilaterally over-writing the North's human resource training system with the South's health care human resource development system, it is important to understand the North's system and its ecology and to achieve a balance by seeking out aspects of each of the systems that could be consolidated with each other. The training period in both the North and South's health care human resource development systems is specified to be 6 years, but there is no system for internships or residencies in the North. South Korea introduced a 6-year system for pharmacist education in 2009, but North Korea has been using such a system since the 1970s (currently 5.5 years). In North Korea, training of health care personnel is conducted at various levels: at universities, at vocational schools, and at institutes for training health officials. Various types of training (daytime training, online, and ad hoc programs) are carried out. Also of interest is the North's licensure examination system. Rather than a state examination system as in South Korea, the North favors a graduation exam given by a national graduation examination committee composed of university professors, which awards both graduation certificates and 'permits,' that is, licenses for doctors and pharmacists. In working out a plan for the integration of the two Koreas' systems based on the study and analysis of the North's educational and testing system for doctors and pharmacists, this paper does not place exclusive focus on the distinctions between the systems or cling to negative views. Rather than claim that unification/integration is a practical impossibility, the paper focuses on the similarities between the two systems and maximizes them to uncover an approach for arriving at solutions. It is hoped that the practical data offered in this paper can contribute to the design of a forward-minded unification/integration model.
Students from the Maritime universities enrolled themselves into one year navigational training, according to The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarer(STCW). The purpose of this paper is to analyze if the students demonstrate improvements and accomplishments while they participate in their practical training. The subjects are third year students of the Korea Maritime and Ocean University who were onboard the Training Ship of the University. The purpose of this paper is to cover the degree of improvement by training, based on the core competency of officers. We also present the basic data for the efficiency in the curriculum of the practical training course for the school. As a result of the research, most of the students showed high improvements in their core competency subjects at the end of their one-year training. However, subjects such as cargo management and protection of the maritime environment resulted in below average results. These were some of the areas that needed improvement.
The purpose of this thesis is to address the imbalance between supply and demand of dental lab technicians and to propose its solutions by analyzing the improvement of employment rate of graduates of dental technology schools in Daegu area and the supply and demand of the technician workforce. Preliminary and full-scale surveys were performed from Aug. 10 to Oct. 10 in 2008 on 150 junior students of dental technology schools who finished their on-the-job-training and 150 dental technicians who were working for dental laboratory in Daegu by self-assessment questionnaire. Followings are the findings of this study. First, regarding the gender of the dental technicians, 32.7% of respondents were female 67.3% were male. Concerning age, respondents younger than 29 years-old occupied the highest percentage(39.3%). With respect to the lab technology school they graduated, DaeguHealthCollege took the largest proportion of 87.3%. With regard to interpersonal relationship at the school, 58.0% of respondents felt their relationship 'smooth'. Second, about the motive of choosing to be a lab technician, the biggest proportion of the respondents(34.7%) replied that 'because it is professional'. Regarding the degree of satisfaction about the profession, 'so-so' was the answer with the biggest percentage(51.3%) followed by 'satisfied'(32.0%) and 'unsatisfied'(16.7%). It showed that respondents were generally satisfied with their major. Third, regarding relevance of on-the-job-training with 'preparation for the employment', highest percentage of both students and lab technicians(50.0%) replied 'so-so'. With respect to 'necessity of practical education', highest percentage of the students and lab technicians replied 'relating didactic education in college to the real world' with 52.7% and 40.7% respectively. With regard to 'the aim of on-the-sport-training', 'practical training of didactic education' was chosen by 54.0% and 47.3% respectively. Fourth, with regard to the 'types of college education advantageous for the employment', both students and lab technicians groups chose 'practical training' with the highest percentage. Concerning 'helpfulness of clinical training on employment', students answered 'so-so' and 'helpful' by 50.0% and 42.7% respectively and dental technicians replied similarly by 50.0% and 46.0% respectively. Fifth, with regard to the influence of financial factors on the supply and demand of dental technician(question #1), 68.0% of respondents agreed that 'salary plays key role in the supply and demand of the work force'. Concerning the question about working condition, respondents requested better working environment. With reference to interpersonal relationship at the laboratory, respondents replied that interpersonal relationship affects the duration of the employment it was found out that there were many conflicts with colleagues or dental office. Sixth, regarding the satisfaction about their profession according to the characteristics of the respondents more respondents were 'satisfied'(10.30 points) with their profession and 'unsatisfied' were 9.47 points and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05). According to the findings of this study, practical education on campus and on-the-job-training are as important as didactic education at class due to the characteristics of dental technology major. It was found that more practical training is related to higher employment rate. Therefore, efficiency of on-the-job-training by college education should be increased raise employment rate of the graduates and reduce the unemployment. Up-to-date information needs to be promptly delivered and future vision should be presented to the students to raise their satisfaction about the profession. In addition, to reduce dental technician's frequent change of their workplace after facing with the reality of the profession after graduation, related organizations should make an effort to present better future than now.

In accordance with the stipulations of the STCW Convention, simulation training has been enforced in order to develop practical skills so as to prevent accidents by predetermining the risks in special marine environments. Simulation training is a useful way to acquire navigation abilities, and can continuously measure the ability of a trainee by applying an appropriate evaluation. However, the result of training is evaluated by the instructor's subjective judgment without quantitative criteria. Therefore, this study aims to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of simulation training. For this purpose, evaluation items were derived by analyzing legal standards, earlier studies, and the current status of MET institutions. The simulations were then performed three times in the same scenarios and analyzed the results. As a result, it has been shown that the objectively analyzed ability to keep the route and to make safe passage with other vessel, as well as subjectively evaluated ability by the apprentice officer has been improved as training progressed. Through the evaluation of simulation training results, it can be derived that simulation education needs supplementation, and can be provided as a basic form of data to quantify the evaluation results of the simulation training in the future.
This study examined performance-related competencies for vocational training teachers and development process of Competency-Based Curriculum(CBC). Based on literature review of competencies, education and training of vocational training teachers, we developed competency modeling integrating job analysis, Behavioral Event Interview for vocational training teachers and Competency Dictionary and analyzed validity of competency modeling and competency need and proposed education and training program across competencies and training module. Finally we proposed necessary operating and management methods to effectively develop competencies for vocational training teachers using CBC.

The purpose of this study was to examine the school parent and student's perception of Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics and to suggest plan to school parent of multicultural and learning disability families. The subjects of this study were elementary and secondary teachers who teaching Practical Arts or Technology Home Economics. The instrument of this study was questionnaire including five sections: influence on students by Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics, interest in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics to school parents, school support with learning ability improvement, school parents support with home in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics, data form of school parents support with home in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. The findings of this study were as follows; Sociality development of students is influential by Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. School parents and students believe important subjects in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. Teachers ask for support with learning ability improvement for practical training space and programs in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. School parents ask for support with learning ability improvement of programs of teaching learning method for home education on Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics.

The study consisted of a survey of the residential satisfaction level of the 3rd grade students and a survey of accessibility from farms for practical field training to public facilities. According to the geographical location of the farms on the map, the average distance to facilities related to convenience or safety and health that students complained was about 12km. And that to social and public facilities was about 4.4km. Students pointed out the convenience of using transportation, commercial and convenient facilities, and the safety of anti-crime security facilities as complaints during the practice session. Residential satisfaction levels in five realms, such as facility and structure, convenience, safety, comfort and sociality, were not all reached at the satisfaction level. In particular, the satisfaction level of female students was sub-normal in the safety and convenience realms. The average satisfaction levels reviewed by department were sub-normal for horse industry and floriculture departments. By residential patterns, satisfaction with sharing with the farmers was higher than with other patterns. And satisfaction level by housing structure was much lower in the assembly and container structures Since residential satisfaction level is determined by the inside and outside environment of the dwelling, college should provide students with accurate and vivid data using information communication technologies.
