  • This study was conducted to identify the effects of repeated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training using smart learning on nursing students' knowledge, self-efficacy, and clinical competency. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group, pretest-posttest design was used. The subjects of the study were 102 nursing college students who had received CPR training for 6 months. The CPR training was divided into smart learning, lecture education, and practical education. Data were collected from November to December, 2016 and analyzed by descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test and one way ANOVA using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The scores of cardiopulmonary resuscitation knowledge were higher in the lecture education group than the practical education group and the smart learning group. Scheffe's post hoc test revealed a statistically significant difference among groups (F=8.23, p=<.001). The self-efficacy of the practical education group was higher than that of the lecture education group and smart learning group, but this difference was not significant (F=2.46, p=.091). The clinical competency of the practical education group and smart learning group were higher than that of the lecture education group. Scheffe's post hoc test revealed that the value of clinical competency differed significantly among groups (F=59.90, p=<.001). Overall, the results showed that effective education differs based on nursing students' knowledge, self-efficacy, ad clinical competency. Combination training would be required for more effective repeated cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.

  • Increasing utilization of radiation and RI (Radioisotope) in nuclear industry including non-power area has achieved sustainable development of radiation industry. Industries are no longer confined by a single technology or abilities but expanded for application gradually. RI-Biomics fields are one of the convergence technology that is recognized on a high-tech industry. Unlike the conventional industry, RI-Biomics field needs to various specialists to perform related task. There is no domestic training program to educate the whole process. This study aims to suggest the plan for improvement of practical skills for specialists in RI-Biomics through development of our training program. For this purpose, we have first investigated the opinion about classification scheme from experts and then analyzed the results in order to reflecting our training program. Based on analyzed results, conformity assessment was executed to organize curriculum through status of constructed device and instructor in domestic. Our training program was performed jointly with KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute). RI-Biomics center is prepared with facilities of overall experiment to improve quality of education. Due to the fact that specialists have routine task, we organized a five-day short course to reflect temporal difficulties. We performed a trial operation to 6 participants in RI-Biomics field. Through the survey for the specialists who participated in the program, we evaluated the efficiency of our training program. The results showed that participants were satisfied with the organized curriculum and educational materials. Therefore, our program is expected to be utilized as basic research data to develop feasible program for policy development and to improve practical skills in RI-Biomics.

  • In this study, the theoretical principle and structural practice of Estill Voice Training model that enables independent control of voice organs in the actor's acting art using voice as a medium of artistic expression. Its purpose is to explore the positive utility that can be applied to operation. The research on the speech science methodology that controls the differences in speech output due to the principle of the generation organ is a reality that has not been actively introduced in Korea compared to the existing actor's speech training that encompasses both the mind and the body. Voice can guarantee the accuracy and stability of operation when an understanding of our body is preceded based on anatomical physiology as well as contribute to the characterization of the character's phonetic character an element of character creation. Considering the training model through proprioception in actor voice training has practical value and alternative significance that the actor can be sought as a principle and practical methodology in the process of generating a series of target sounds.

  • After the Sewol Ferry accident, the importance of maritime safety has been emphasized in Korea. In particular, educational and experience training are not only being conducted for maritime personnel but also in schools and at maritime-related organizations in order to broadly instill maritime safety awareness. Based on SOLAS regulations, safety education for sailors conducted every 10 days passenger boats, and fire-fighting drills and abandon-ship training should be conducted once a month on merchant ships. After the Sewol Ferry accident, the maximum number of trainees was reduced from 40 to 20 in order to improve the effectiveness of these training sessions by requiring all trainees to participate in the actual training. The current training process consists of two steps: textbook-based theoretical training and actual practice. Current training environment provides limited capability from human and facility recourses which limit the numbers of trainee participated and system operation time. By introducing the simulation training, it will improve the trainee skill and performance prior to the on-site training and allow the more effective and rapid progress on actual practice. Therefore, it will be proposed the three-step training method in order to improve the effectiveness on fire-fighting drill in Maritime Safety Education on this study. This study suggests a three step training method that would increase the efficiency of maritime safety education. An image-training step to enhance individual task awareness and equipment usage via simulation techniques after theoretical training has been added. To implement this simulation, a virtual training session will be conducted before actual training, based on knowledge obtained from theoretical training, which is expected to increase the speed with which trainees can adapt during the practical training session. In addition, due to the characteristics of the simulation, repeated training is possible for reaction drills in emergency circumstances and other various scenarios that are difficult to replicate in actual training. The efficiency of training is expected to improve because trainees will have practiced before practical training takes place, which will decrease the time needed for practical training and increase the number of training sessions that can be executed, increasing the efficiency of training overall. This study considers development methods for fire-fighting drill simulations using virtual reality techniques.
