  • In this paper, the optimum design of tire sidewall contour consisted of double plies for improving automobile maneuverability and tire durability is considered and a GUI program is developed for the purpose of the practical design. Each improvement of maneuverability and durability depends on the cord tension and strain energy distribution of tire sidewall. Satisfing trade-off method, which requires the judgment of aspiration levels, is used for the multi-objective optimization problem. Also, this paper presents the application to the practical sidewall contour design with the GUI program developed using visual Fortran.

  • Death preparation education is not only preparing for future death but also for happier and meaningful life. Death is a persistent problem faced by all human beings and can be found in connection with the Home Economics(HE) curriculum in that it is a contextual practical problem of individuals and their society. The purpose of the study is to develop the practical problem-based death preparation education teaching-learning plans that can be applied to middle and high school HE subject. As a result of the study, the HE death preparation education program was developed. The program name is 'Death Preparation Education for the Happy Life of Me and Family'. Also, 12 practical problems and the 4 teaching-learning plans were developed. This study is expected to be used as educational materials to allow middle and high school students to take death naturally in their lives and to practice meaningful everyday life for worthy death during the HE classes. As a follow-up study, we propose a study to examine the needs of death preparation education in HE curriculum and to verify the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process of death preparation education in HE class.

The Process of Nurses Experience in Public Health Program Performance (간호사의 보건사업수행 경험과정)

  • Purpose: This study was to describe and develop public health nursing. Methods: Data were collected from 19 nurses sampled from 5 public health centers. The grounded theory of Strauss and Corbin (1990) was applied. Results: As a result, 48 concepts, 23 subcategories, and 11 categories were deduced from open coding. In axial coding, casual conditions 'facing difficulties of practical administration' and 'attaching importance to health support for residents' and context condition 'assessing of residents' service needs' impacted phenomenon 'searching for efficient performing methods.' Intervening conditions 'forming of support system' and 'working with positive,' and action-interaction conditions 'improving of resident's health and medical accessibility' and 'striving for self-development' lead to consequences 'carried out promptly for field-based problem solving,' 'mastered of successful program planning methods' and 'solving the issues with existing style.' The periods of process were divided into 4 stages, confirming program-contents, probing program-method, developing program-strategies, and applying program-competencies. The core category, ‘strengthening of practical-planning work competencies' incorporated the relationship between and among all categories and explained the process. Conclusion: This study described public health nurses' performance in Korea. These findings have important implications for the practice and must be considered to develop competencies for planning and practice of public health.

  • Software development of large scale program such as Operating System or University Total Information System is lengthy and costly process. In order to reduce cost, time and risk, there is currentry general acceptance of the need for Software Reuse System during the whole development cycles. In this paper, (from a practical point of view), the problem of existing reuse system methodology is analyzed and an implement method of software reuse system is presented. Also using this method Application Program Reuse System(APRS) which supports all phase of software life cycles is designed and implemented. This application program reuse system which is based on common language is considerably shown to reduce communication Error of requirement specification between systems analyst and end-user.

  • Globally SW education is becoming increasingly important, and the government is preparing for this trend as a mandatory implementation of SW education in the 2015 revised curriculum. However, because the 17 hours of annual education offered in the course of Practical Arts cannot have great educational effects, this study attempted to develop a robot-based SW education program related to other regular subjects. Also in order to verify the effects of the program related to future competencies, problem solving ability and communication ability were selected as key factors. The paired t-test was conducted to examine whether there was a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. As a result, it was verified that the subject-related SW education program using robots was effective in improving students' problem-solving ability and communication ability. In addition, after the program was completed a survey was conducted, and it was possible to confirm that students could have positive perception on SW education.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a facility layout design algorithm based on artificial intelligence concept, and then to develop a computer program which is more practical than any other conventional facility layout design systems. The algorithm is composed of five step layout procedures; knowledge and data input, knowledge interpretation, priority determination, inference of layout design, and evaluation, In the step of priority determination, the algorithm is divided into single row and multi row layout problem. In the step of inference of layout design, alternatives are generated by constraints-directed reasoning and depth first search method based on artificial intelligence concept. Alternatives are evaluated by the moving cost and relationship value by interactive man-machine interface in the step of evaluation. As a case study, analytical considerations over conventional programs such as CRAFT and CORELAP was investigated and compared with algorithm propsed in this study. The proposed algorithm in this study will give useful practical tool for layout planner. The computer progran was written in C language for IBM PC-AT.

  • We are at the onset of a major revolution in education, a revolution unparalleled since the invention of the printing press. The computer will be the instrument of this revolution. Computers and computer application are everywhere these days. Everyone can't avoid the influence of the computer in today's world. The computer is no longer a magical, unfamiliar tool that is used only by researchers or scholars or scientists. The computer helps us do our jobs and even routine tasks more effectively and efficiently. More importantly, it gives us power never before available to solve complex problems. Mathematics instruction in secondary schools is frequently perceived to be more a amendable to the use of computers than are other areas of the school curriculum. This is based on the perception of mathematics as a subject with clearly defined objectives and outcomes that can be reliably measured by devices readily at hand or easily constructed by teachers or researchers. Because of this reason, the first large-scale computerized curriculum projects were in mathematics, and the first educational computer games were mathematics games. And now, the entire mathematics curriculum appears to be the first of the traditional school curriculum areas to be undergoing substantial trasformation because of computers. Recently, many research-Institutes of our country are going to study on computers in orders to use it in mathematics education, but the study is still start ing-step. In order to keep abreast of this trend necessity, and to enhance mathematics teaching/learning which is instructed lecture-based teaching/learning at the present time, this study aims to develop/present practical method of computer-using. This is devided into three methods. 1. Programming teaching/learning method This part is presented the following five types which can teach/learn the mathematical concepts and principle through concise program. (Type 1) Complete a program. (Type 2) Know the given program's content and predict the output. (Type 3) Write a program of the given flow-chart and solve the problem. (Type 4) Make an inference from an error message, find errors and correct them. (Type 5) Investigate complex mathematical fact through program and annotate a program. 2. Problem-solving teaching/learning method solving This part is illustrated how a computer can be used as a tool to help students solve realistic mathematical problems while simultaneously reinforcing their understanding of problem-solving processes. Here, four different problems are presented. For each problem, a four-stage problem-solving model of polya is given: Problem statement, Problem analysis, Computer program, and Looking back/Looking ahead. 3. CAI program teaching/learning method This part is developed/presented courseware of sine theorem section (Mathematics I for high school) in order to avail individualized learning or interactive learning with teacher.   • This study applies simulation-based education and care for acute myocardial infarction nursing students to investigate the effect of critical thinking, problem solving, and academic achievement of a single group before and after the raw experimental design. A total of 137 subjects were arbitration period September-October 2011, enforcement and arbitration were evaluated after simulation-based training six weeks total. Data analysis was performed using SPSS Win17.0, Paired t-test, the mean and standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient was used. Research results of simulation-based training program to improve critical thinking, problem solving, and academic achievement were As increase critical thinking and problem solving ability was improved. whereas, Critical thinking skills and problem solving ability was no significant difference with academic achievement. Simulation-based training program to improve the practical skills of nursing students learning was found how useful it, that there is a need to take advantage of hands-on training in a variety of cases that can be common in the field of clinical scenarios developed by. To do this, It seems to be necessary to the development and operation more varied and appropriate hands-on training method.

Survey on the Need to Develop Training Educational Program for Oriental Medical Clinical Trial (한의약 임상시험 전문인력양성 교육프로그램 개발의 필요성에 대한 설문조사)

  • Objectives : This study were aimed to estimate the needs for clinical research educational program development focused on oriental medicine. Methods : Department Medical Research of Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine surveyed 204 certified subjects in total by using web-based questionnaires through e-mail from Jan. 17th to Jan. 31th, 2007. Reply from 62 on-line correspondents were collected and statistically analyzed. Results : The number of clinical trial involving oriental medicine continues to increase. According to the survey, many Issues were raised as problems such as difficulty of recruitment, lack of fund and lack of stepped program. Emphasized issues were clinical research methodologies, development of protocols and case report form (CRF), and Regulations including Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) in these three consecutive education training program. Conclusion : The results of this study may contribute to the development of an educational program for oriental medicine, a program that should be taken into consideration for developing practical items, such as, problem-based learnings which reflects participants' actual needs in their works. Also this report be used for future strategy plans and execution of training program for oriental medical clinical trial.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the educational effect by developing and applying a decision tree-based artificial intelligence convergence education program. To achieve the purpose of this study, the study was conducted through a three-step process of preparation, development, and improvement. In addition, it consisted of four stages of the creative problem-solving process: 'Understanding the problem', 'Idea search and development', 'realization' and 'evaluation'. In particular, the artificial intelligence convergence education program developed in this study is an unplugged activity that does not include programming. Therefore, it is very noteworthy that artificial intelligence convergence education was implemented in subjects other than technology and home economics education, and information education, which are part of junior engineering education, and practical arts education in elementary education, which is a subject that learns Artificial Intelligence technology including programming during class time. In other words, it shows that AI technology can be integrated and taught in most subjects, not specific subjects and has great significance in that it can utilize the concepts and principles of artificial intelligence technology when teaching the concept of classification, which is included in the curriculum.
