In this paper, we analyzed the efficiency of magnetic resonance wireless power transmission (WPT) using superconductor coil according to the changing position of transmission and receiving coils. We implemented a WPT system using a magnetic resonance at a frequency of 63.1 kHz. Transmission and receiving coils using superconductor coil were wound on a spiral manner of diameter 100mm. For comparison, transmission and receiving coils using normal conductor coil were designed under the same condition. At a distance of 50mm, we measured efficiency when transmission-receiving coils were matched 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. When a superconductor coil was applied to the transmission and receiving units, efficiency of WPT was very high. In addition, in the case of the superconducting transmission-receiving coils, when coils matched 100% the efficiency was 30% and matched 25% the efficiency was 8%.
When a wide area blackout occurres, reenergizing transmission lines should be done at first. The KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) divides whole power system grid into seven subsystem, and each subsystem has one of two blackstart power plants which are usually hydro or combined-combustion type, one priority power plant which should be first supplied with electric energy, and transmission lines between them. Voltage rising, line charging, and operation stability problem should be considered when these lines are reenergized. In this paper, building-up process for primary transmission system that should be energized at first is analyzed.
The three-phase synchronous reference frame phase-locked loop (SRF-PLL) is widely used for synchronization applications in power systems. In this paper, a new control strategy for three-phase grid-connected LCL inverters without a PLL is presented. According to the new strategy, a current reference can be generated by using the instantaneous power control scheme and the proposed positive-sequence voltage detector. Through theoretical analysis, it is indicated that a high-quality grid current can be produced by introducing the new control strategy. In addition, a kind of independent control for reactive power can be achieved under unbalanced and distorted grid conditions. Finally, the excellent performance of the proposed control strategy is validated by means of simulation and experimental results.

In IEEE 802.11b wireless LAN, stations keep synchronization by receiving beacons being periodically sent by the AP (access point) when they run in low power mode. Beacon transmission is delayed if wireless channel is busy at a scheduled TBTT (target beacon transmission time), and stations must be awake until they receive the delayed beacon. In this paper, we propose a scheme that stations get their transmission delayed if they have little time for successful data transmission by the next TBTT. Beacon transmission without delay is guaranteed at every TBTT with this method so that the awake time of low power stations to receive beacon can be reduced. The proposed method is simulated and its characteristics ore described with the analysis of the results. The measured results in terms of beacon delay show some enhancement in energy consumption.

This paper deals with a new variable microwave power distributor and a connector between a deck plate and a input power waveguide for indoor microwave wireless power transmission. We design a new type connector built in the 3-stage coaxial line structure, and calculate the return loss of the connector at 2.45GHz. Newly designed connector shows the excellent return loss performance less than -30dB at the operating frequency of 2.45GHz. And we show a power distributor in which the dividing ratio of the power is controlled mechanically by three rotary fins. The distributor can control the dividing power from 4.5% to 58% with the variance of 5% output power. The experimentally tested results of the distributor are good agreement with the simulation within the return loss of 1%.
In recent years, it has been a worldwide trend that many power utilities gave their attention to develop and operate their power plants, substation and distribution systems. Following this trend, KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) has developed many electric automation systems with various communication networks. It has been natural that the automation systems are just focused on to remote devices when they come to be designed. But, we have to shift the focus to the automation system itself. We have developed the Multi-service Optical Transmission System (M-OTS) for electrical power systems. It can be adopt to not only distribution power field but also the transmission power field. The result strongly shows that the system is potentially beneficial in reliability, speed, and expandability. This paper presents some of initial design efforts and results toward a KEPCO's communication system in distribution areas.
Wireless power transfer (WPT) is the technology that enables the power to transmit electromagnetic field to an electrical load without the use of wires. There are two kinds of magnetic resonant coupling and inductive coupling ways transmitting from the source to the output load. Compared with microwave method for energy transfer over a long distance, the magnetic resonance method has the advantages of reducing the barrier of electromagnetic wave and enhancing the efficiency of power transmission. In this paper, the wireless power transfer circuit having a resonant frequency of 13.45 MHz for the low power system is studied, and the hardware implementation is accomplished to measure the power transmission efficiency for the distance between the transmitter and the receiver.
Connectorless power transmission and supply are the power transfer device revealed by resonant inverter or transformer using inductant device. Recently, on power supply have been going on frequently, so several power supply circuit forms are announced. But Compared with the circuit of previous paper, instead of the circuit composed of a simple sylinder Ferrit, I was manufacture in a sylinder that It was a double overlab to a sylinder and I was followed a double flux in inner flux path. Above all, for practicalization, supply circuit operation character analysis and development of controller should be preceded. According to this paper, power transmission and supply analyze characters and design control circuit like the analysis of general resonant inverter for power transmission. They compose the circuit to get sinusoid wave output voltage using pulse width modulation control mode. For Supply, output wave form through power track and power pick-up of magnetic inductance includes ripper component. So I intend to design the controller including filter and regulator, compare analyze theoretical result with real measurement value and then show you their practicality

This investigation presents a method to design an optimal shape of a matching waveguide connecting two waveguides having different impedances. The design objective is to maximize power transmission through the waveguide system. When an incident wave impinges on an elastic waveguide system consisting of waveguides of different impedances, all of the incident wave power may not pass through due to the mechanical impedance. Therefore, the maximization of the transmitted power through a waveguide difficult to achieve without a systematic design method. In this work, the optimal shape design of a matching waveguide connecting two waveguides of different impedances is formulated as a shape optimization problem. If the material of the matching waveguide is given, its shape is the only parameter controlling the transmission power. Relatively simple one dimensional elastic wave transmission problems will be considered in this work, but the underlying methodology and the related physics can be clearly demonstrated. The influences of initial configurations as well as the target frequencies on the optimized shapes will be also investigated.
