A Theoretical study of Oxidation-Reduction Titration Curves (산화${\cdot}$환원 적정곡선의 이론적 고찰)

  • The varation of potential and completeness of reaction in an oxidation-reduction titration of Red$_1$ ($a\;Ox_1+N_1e{\leftrightarrow}b\;Red_1)\;by\;Ox_2\;(C\;Ox_2+n_2e{\leftrightarrow}d\;Red_2)$ is analyzed on the basis of general expressions. It is shown that the reaction deficiency as well as the rate of variation of the potential with titration fraction change in proportion to the $[n_2(a-b)-n_1(c-d)]$ th power of the concentration of the reagents. In particular, at the equivalence point, the expression of the potential contains a concentration dependent term that is proportional to ac-bd. Thus, the equivalence-point potential varies with the concentration of the reagents unless ac=bd is satisfied. It is also shown that the sharpness of the potentiometric titration curve is shown to occur either prior to or after the equivalence point depending upon whether $n_1cn_2b$, the deviation being the same order of magnitude as the relative deficiency at the equivalence point.

Effect of Inlet Geometry on Fan Performance and Inlet Flow Fields in a Semi-opened Axial Fan

  • In order to clarify the effect of inlet bellmouth size of semi-opened type axial fan on its performance and flow fields around rotor, fan test and flow field measurements using hotwire anemometer were carried out for 6 kinds of bellmouth size. As results of fan test, the shaft power curve hardly changed, even if the bellmouth size changed. On the other hand, the pressure-rise near best efficiency point became small with the bellmouth size decreasing. Therefore, the value of maximum efficiency became small as the bellmouth size decreased. As results of flow field measurements at fan inlet, the main flow region with large meridional velocity existed near blade tip when the bellmouth size was large. As bellmouth size became smaller, the meridional velocity at fan inlet became smaller and the one at outside of blade tip became larger. As results of flow field measurements at fan outlet, the main flow region existed near rotor hub side.

Channel Capacity Analysis for Indoor PLC Networks with Considering the Effect of Loading conditions of Networks on Channel State Information (네트워크 부하 조건의 변화가 채널 상태 정보에 미치는 영향을 고려한 옥내 전력선 통신 채널의 채널 용량 분석)

  • We analyze the channel capacity with considering the effect of the loading conditions of indoor PLC networks on channel state information. We consider various numbers of load for two kinds of the networks with regular length branches and a deployed network of indoor PLC. For calculating the channel capacity degradation, two noise scenarios and impedances are considered. From the simulation results, we suggest the robust regression lines for modeling the channel capacity degradation. In the cases of 0 $\Omega$ and $Z_0$ loads, natural log and linear function curve show the best goodness of fit, respectively. For the deployed indoor PLC network with 0 $\Omega$ loads, compared with the networks with regular length branches, the goodness of fit decreases by the amount of 0.12 and 0.15 for low noise and high noise scenarios, respectively. Using the regression lines, we can estimate the channel capacity degradation without measurement.

  • Public key cryptosystem applications are very difficult in Ubiquitos environments due to computational complexity, memory and power constrains. HECC offers the same of levels of security with much shorter bit-lengths than RSA or ECC. Scalar multiplication is the core operation in HECC. T.Lange proposed inverse free scalar multiplication on genus 2 HECC. However, further coordinate must be access to SCA and need more storage space. This paper developed secure scalar multiplication algorithm with simultaneous inversion algorithm in HECC. To improve the over all performance and security, the proposed algorithm adopt the comparable technique of the simultaneous inversion algorithm. The proposed algorithm is resistant to DPA and SPA.

Investigation of Large-scale Transmission Tower Grounding Grid with High Amplitude and Uniform Flowing Impulse Current

  • Impulse characteristic of transmission tower grounding grid is needed for lightning protection of transmission line. This paper describes an outdoor experimental test facility established for large-scale grounding grid of transmission tower, made up of four impulse current generators and a circle current return electrode. The amplitude of impulse current is up to 100 kA. The results of the CDEGS simulation and GPR measurement reveal the uniform current distribution in the test arrangement. An impulse test for a square electrode with extended conductors is carried out in condition of three current waveforms with different amplitude. Based on the electrical network model and iterative algorithm method, a calculation model is proposed to simulate the impulse characteristic of large-scale grounding grid considering soil ionization. The curve of impulse resistance against the current amplitude shows the soil ionization both from the simulation and test. Deviation between the simulation and test result is less than 15%.

  • Nowadays is the increasing percentage of the aged in the population. Advanced age shows concern at own health status. So it is needed the home medical instrument which is cheap and connectable to hospital with a LAN or a public network In this paper, We have implemented a ECG (Electrocadiogram) terminal. The ECG terminal is composed of two parts. One is the analog board to remove the baseline drift. The other is the digital board consists of a data aquisition part and data transmission part. The ECG terminal doesn't have the display region to show a ECG curve and uses the modified digital filter to remove the power noise. The ECG terminal transmits a ECG signal with a LAM using TCP/IP. So ECG signal can be seen by the Central Patient Monitor Program connected TCP/IP network.

  • Recently, much attention has been paid to problems which is concerned with voltage instability phenomena and much works on these phenomena have been made. In this paper, by substituting d $P_{k}$ d $e_{k}$ ( $v^{\rarw}$= e +j f) for $P_{k}$ in conventional load flow, direct method for finging the limit of voltage stability is proposed. Here, by using the fact that taylor se- ries expansion in .DELTA. $P_{k}$ and .DELTA. $Q_{k}$ is terminated at the second-order terms, constraint equation (d $P_{k}$ d $e_{k}$ =0) and power flow equations are formulated with new variables .DSLTA. e and .DELTA.f, so partial differentiations for constraint equation are precisely calculated. The fact that iteratively calculated equations are reformulated with new variables .DELTA.e and .DELTA.f means that limit of voltage stability can be traced precisely through recalculation of jacobian matrix at e+.DELTA.e and f+.DELTA.f state. Then, during iterative process divergence may be avoid. Also, as elements of Hessian mat rix are constant, its computations are required only once during iterative process.   • Dye sensitized solar cells(DSCs) have been very economical and easy method to convert solar energy to electricity. DSC can reach low costs in future outdoor power applications. However, to commercialize the DSC, there are still many shortages to overcome such a low efficiency in a large size DSC. In this study, DSCs were fabricated by an electrospray coating method for the $TiO_2$ thin film. They were compared with DSCs prepared by conventional coating methods. We conducted an experiment to obtain the optimized parameters of voltage, flow rate, incident angle and distance in the electrospray method. After we fabricated $TiO_2$ film using that way, we investigated the characteristics of DSC through I-V Curve, SEM and EIS. This novel method shows stable performance with an energy conversion efficiency of 3.44 % under 1 sun illumination (AM 1, $P_{in}$ of $100\;mW/cm^2$).

  • 클린룸의 규모가 커짐에 따라 물류 이송 장비의 사이즈가 커지고 길이가 장거리화 되고 있다. 이에 이송대차(Vehicle)의 수가 증가하는 추세이다. 같은 클린룸 공간에서 물류 이송 시스템의 공간 활용 밀도를 높이면 생산수율을 높일 수 있다. 따라서 OHS(Over Head Shuttle) 시스템은 여러 대의 이송대차간 독립제어가 가능하고, 물류 이송 장비의 구조가 직선구간과 곡선구간이 혼용되어진 구조를 가지며, OHS 시스템의 이송대차에 전원을 안정적으로 공급하기 위한 비접촉 전원장치에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 직선구간과 곡선구간에서 비접촉 전원장치를 안정적인 전원을 공급하기 위한 방법을 제시하고, 기존 방법과 비교 검토하기 위해 시작품을 제작하여 이동대차 2대를 대상으로 실험을 행하여 검증하였다.
