Previous Satisfaction and Positive Word-of-Mouth Communication as Antecedents to Purchase Intention in Transmedia Storytelling

  • As the reuse of content becomes a strategy for the entertainment industry, managerial insight on customers is needed to be cultivated in order to run a successful business. This study analyzes the impact of previous satisfaction on consumption intention for content in another medium. To do this, two data sets are collected: cases of movie-to-TV series and TV series-to-movie and analyze them using a structural equation modeling approach. The results of our analysis show that satisfied viewers of a movie tend to communicate their positive feelings via word-of-mouth communication and demonstrate repurchase intention of another medium afterward. However, satisfaction does not automatically lead to repurchase intention in another medium. While satisfied viewers of a TV series show a statistically positive repurchase intention for a movie, satisfied viewers of a movie do not show a direct repurchase intention for a TV series. This result demonstrates an asymmetric relationship between satisfaction and repurchase intention across media, and its strategic implications are further discussed.

장애아동가족의 복원모델 연구 (A Resiliency Model for Families of Children with Disabilities)

  • In order to develop a model for better understanding of causal relationships in resiliency factors in families of children with disabilities, 200 families participated in this adaptation of the Resiliency Model of McCubbin and McCubbin(1993). The 6 latent variables included in the hypothesized model were family stress, family hardiness, family schema, community support, family problem-solving communication, and family adaptation. The models were developed on the basis of confirmatory factor analysis and compared using covariance structure modeling (LISREL). Adequate fitness of the model was observed. Family stress showed negative effect on family schema and on family hardiness. Family schema showed positive effect on community support and on family hardiness. Family hardiness showed positive effect on family problem-solving communication, and family problem-solving communication showed positive effect on family adaptation.

The Effect of Choice Attributes of Internet primary bank on Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention

  • In recent years, interest in internet primary bank has increased in South Korea, and marketing strategies for the success of the bank are needed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of bank choice attributes on satisfaction and behavioral intention of Internet primary bank users. A convenience sampling was used and a structural equation of AMOS 20.0 was used for hypothesis testing. The results of the study are as follows. First, information, transaction, and communication of the choice attributes have positive effects on satisfaction. Second, information, transaction, and communication of the choice attributes have positive effects on behavioral intention. Third, satisfaction has a positive effect on behavioral intention. The theoretical and practical implications and limitations of the research are presented in the conclusion.

Determinants of Positive Word of Mouth for a Contemporary Art Exhibition on Web-based Virtual Reality

  • We aimsto examine the determinants of visitors' positive word-of-mouth (WOM) in a web-based virtual reality contemporary art exhibition. We also examines the effects of 3 realms of experience (entertainment, esthetic, escapist) on emotional arousal, how this emotional arousal affects memory and positive word-of-mouth, how memory affects positive word-of-mouth and how age moderate all of the paths. We examined a total of 297 visitors and was conducted through an online survey focusing on Chinese users of ages 20-49. The analysis results showed that entertainment and esthetic have an effect on emotional arousal, but escapist did not. The results also showed emotional arousal has an effect on memory and positive WOM. Memory did not affect positive word-of-mouth. Finally, age has a moderate effect on all the paths, except for the path form escape towards emotional arousal and memory to positive word-of-mouth. The theoretical implications of this study are meaningful exhibition research. While, it also will be helpful to segment the web-based virtual reality art exhibition visitors by dividing into 3 groups (20s, 30s, 40s) and to provide marketing and operation strategies.

Collaborative Communication, Information Sharing and Supply Chain Performance

  • Purpose: This study empirically investigates the effect of collaborative communication and information sharing on the supply chain performance of South Korean pharmaceutical companies. Specifically, it understands the importance collaborative communication and suggests a method for investigating communication in academic research on the pharmaceutical industry. Investigating this sector is crucial because the importance of the pharmaceutical industry is increasing globally against the background of the Covid-19 pandemic. Research design, data, and methodology: A questionnaire was administered to employees of South Korean pharmaceutical companies and 244 valid responses were used for the statistical analysis. Additionally, structural equation modeling was used to measure the relationships between the observed and latent variables. Results: Collaborative communication has a positive effect on information sharing. However, information sharing, unlike collaborative communication, does not exhibit a significant positive relationship with supply chain performance. These results indicate that it is important to communicate effectively in the supply chain rather than strive for the right type of information sharing. Conclusions: Consumers and retailers within the supply chain should continue to strive for candid communication. This study is meaningful, as it empirically tests the relationships between collaborative communication, information sharing, and supply chain performance in the South Korean pharmaceutical industry.

보건소 인력의 의사소통능력, 직무만족도 및 정신건강 수준 (Communication Skill, Job Satisfaction, and Mental Health of Public Health Center Staff in South Korea)

  • Objectives: This study addressed the relationship among communication skill, job satisfaction, and mental health level. Methods: The participants in this study were 222 public health center staff members at 9 community public health centers located in Seoul city and Gyeonggi province. Descriptive analysis, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression were used for statistical analysis of the data. Results: The main findings are as follows: First, communication skill and job satisfaction showed a significant positive correlation with mental health level. Secondly, some components of mental health level generally showed positive correlations with communication skill and job satisfaction. Third, multiple regression showed that 22% of the variance in the mental health level was explained. Conclusions: Based on these results of this study, we suggested that specialized programs should be established to help in development of social arbitration for public health center staff.

가정과 수업에의 적용 가능성 탐색을 위한 부모자녀간 의사소통훈련 프로그램의 효과분석 (Analysis of the Effect of Training Program for Parent-Adolescent Communication Applied to Home Economics Classes, and the Possibility to Implement the Program)

  • The Purpose of this research was to introduce communication training program for positive parent-adolescent relation into home economics education curriculum. The research applied the program named "Making the desirable world 2" which was revised by K.E.T.I(Korea Effectiveness Training Institute). This program was given two hours a week during 8 weeks. The subject of this study was 24 students, divided into two groups, the experimental and the control group. This research supposed that parent-adolescent communication and self-esteem in the experimental group would significantly increase by group training program. The results of this research are as follows. First, parent-adolescent communication in the experimental group was significantly increased by the group training program. Second, self-esteem in the experimental group was significantly increased by the group training program. For home economics education as a practical subject matter, promoting qualitative maturity of students' family life, this study aimed both at enhancing communication for positive relation of parent-adolescent by group training and implementing home economics education curriculum practically.

간호대학생의 의사소통 자신감, 비판적사고 성향, 간호 전문직관의 관계 (The Relationship between Communication Self-confidence, Critical Thinking Disposition and Nursing Professionalism in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 의사소통 자신감, 비판적사고 성향, 간호 전문직관의 관계를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구의 자료는 2019년 8월부터 9월까지 수집되었다. 연구대상자는 간호대학 4학년 학생 122명이며, 서면 동의를 받은 후 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 20.0프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 간호대학생의 의사소통 자신감 32.31점, 비판적사고 성향 101.34점, 간호 전문직관 3.78점이었다. 의사소통 자신감은 비판적사고 성향(r=.568, p<.001), 간호 전문직관(r=.282, p<.001)과 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 비판적사고 성향은 의사소통 자신감(r=.568, p<.001), 간호 전문직관(r=.361, p<.001)과 간호전문직관도 의사소통 자신감(r=.282, p<.05) 비판적사고 성향(r=.361, p<.001)과 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

병원코디네이터에 대한 지각된 진정성과 공감 및 커뮤니케이션 만족도와 재방문의도와의 관계 (The Relationship between Perceived Authenticity and Empathy and Communication Satisfaction and Revisit Intention for Hospital Coordinators)

  • 본 연구는 의료미용을 위한 상담 시 병원코디네이터와 만나는 접점에서 지각된 진정성이 공감과 커뮤니케이션, 재방문 의도에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 자료수집은 상담을 경험한 고객을 선정하여 설문조사를 실시하였고, 통계분석은 SPSS 21.0을 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 병원코디네이터에 대한 지각된 진정성은 공감과 커뮤니케이션 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 공감은 커뮤니케이션 만족도에 정의 영향을 주었다. 둘째 공감과 커뮤니케이션 만족도는 재방문 의도에 정의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 병원코디네이터의 진정성 있는 상담은 공감을 형성하여 커뮤니케이션 만족도가 높아지고 병원을 다시 방문하는 결과로 이어진다. 따라서 단순히 매출 향상이나 직무에 의해 만들어진 상담이 아니라 고객을 배려한 진정성과 공감을 통한 커뮤니케이션이 이루어진다면 신뢰를 형성할 수 있으며 장기적으로 의료미용 기관의 성과에도 기여할 수 있을것이다.

간호관리자의 촉진적 의사소통과 간호사의 자아존중감과의 관계 (Relationship between Nurse Managers' Facilitative Communication and Nurses' Self-esteem)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between nurse managers' facilitative communication as perceived by nurses and nurses' self-esteem. Methods: The subjects were 256 staff nurses at B hospital of C University in Kyeonggi-do. The data were collected between December 1, 2009 and January 12, 2010. The collected data were analyzed using the SAS program through t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: Nurses' self-esteem was higher when nurse managers perceived them as facilitative communicators in empathic understanding and genuineness subgroup of facilitative communication (p<.05). There was a positive correlation between nurse managers' facilitative communication and nurses' self-esteem(r=.15, p=.015). Also there was a positive correlation among the nurse managers' facilitative communication subgroups, empathic understanding; genuineness; concreteness(r=0.18, p=.004; r=0.18, p=.003; r=0.19, p=.002) and nurses' self-esteem. Conclusion: Nurse managers are in need of facilitative communication. Therefore, job education and training for improving nurse managers' communication skills particularly related to empathic understanding, genuineness and concreteness are required.
