  • This experiment was performed to develop a model for nutrition ion concentration and EC in regard to change in pH from 4.0 to 8.0 in nutrient solution. The pH changes according to the variation of $HPO_4{^{-2}}$ and $H_2PO_4{^-}$ in the nutrient solution while variation of EC increased from pH 4.0 to 5.0, stabilized from pH 5.0 to 7.0 and increased again from pH 7.0 to 8.0. For the variance of major elements in the nutrient solution, K, Ca, N and P increased while pH was higher, especially the variables for K and P were increased largely. On the other hand, variables of Mg and S were stable. Based on analysis of the ion balance model of nutrient solution, the cation increased than anion over rising the variation of pH while balance point of ion moved from a-side to d-side. In addition, the imbalance increased while it moved away from the EC centerline as variance of pH increased. It was larger than effect of EC variance to correction values of equivalence ratios of K and Ca about variation of $HPO_4{^{-2}}$ and $H_2PO_4{^-}$ while as variance of pH increased, K decreased but Ca increased. These showed the result that variance of pH about correction values of equivalence ratios of K and Ca gave a second-degree polynomial model rating of 0.97. Through this research, it was identified the pH variable model about variance among pH, ion and EC according to gradient of phosphate.

  • In this paper, we correct pulse wave velocity(PWV) with heart-rate and derive regression equations to estimate intima-media thickness(IMT). Widely used methods for diagnosis of arteriosclerosis are IMT and PWV. Arterial wall stiffness determines the degree of energy absorbed by the elastic aorta and its recoil in diastole but there is not correlation between sclerosis and IMT in an existing study. In this study, we will correct PWV with heart-rate and get regression equation to estimate IMT using heart-rate correction index(HCI). We executed experiments for this study. Made up question of physical condition and measured electrocardiogram(ECG), photoplethysmogram (PPG) of finger-tip and toe-tip and ultrasound image of carotid artery. Calculated PWV and IMT using ECG, PPG and ultrasound image. We found that every p-value between PWV and IMT is not significant(<0.05). But p-value between IMT and HCI which is a corrected PWV using heart-rate is significant(>0.01). We use HCI and various measured parameter for estimating regression equation and apply backward estimation to select parameters for regression analysis. Result of backward estimation, found that only HCI is possible to derive proper regression equation of IMT. Relationship between PWV and IMT is the second order. Result of regression equation of E-H PWV is $R^2$=0.735, adj $R^2$=0.711. This is the best correlation value. We calculate error of its analysis for verification of earlobe PWV regression equation. Its result is RMSEP=0.0328, MAPE(%) = 4.7622. Like this regression analysis, we know that HCI is useful parameter and relationship between PWV, HCI and IMT. In addition, we are able to suggest possibility which is that we can get different parameter of prediction throughout just one measurement.

  • To analyze the effects of the system parameters on the target parameters, which include the amount of water evaporation, water solubility index(WSI) and water absorption index(WAI), test trials of fractional factorial design of the three process variables at three levels were carried out for corn grit with a laboratory twin-screw extruder with three different screw configurations. The system parameters collected from the trials, such as extrusion temperature, specific mechanical energy input(SME) and mean residence time(RT), were showed the ranges of $129{\sim}182^{\circ}C$, $67{\sim}163\;kwh/ton$ and $12{\sim}34\;sec$, respectively. Within these ranges of the system parameters, the target parameters were able to be quantified by using multiple regression equations. The correlation of results with the system parameters blocked by the screw configuration as dependent variables, yield correlation coefficients above 0.90, and the correlation using the system parameters obtained from whole experiment system as the dependent variables yield correlation coefficients around 0.80. The functional relationship, which can be quantified by second order polynomial regression equation with only two system parameters within necessary degree of accuracy, can he graped in three dimensional surface response and contour diagrams.

  • Background: Dietary protein requirements are dependent on a variety of factors and water temperature is one of the most important abiotic factors affecting protein requirement of fish. This study was, therefore, conducted to investigate effects of water temperature on dietary protein requirement of fry Heteropneustes fossilis which has high demand in most of the Asian markets. Methods: Quadruplicate groups of 30 fish per treatment (2.97 ± 0.65 cm; 5.11 ± 0.34 g) were fed seven isoenergetic diets (17.9 kJ g-1 gross energy; 14.99 kJ g-1 digestible energy) containing dietary protein levels ranging from 28 to 52% at two water temperatures (18 and 26 ℃). Experimental diets were fed to apparent satiation as semi-moist cakes thrice daily at 17:00, 12:00, and 17:30 h for 12 weeks. For precise information, various growth parameters, protein deposition, hematological parameters, metabolic enzymes, and stress response were analyzed, and effects of water temperature on dietary protein requirement was recommended on the basis of response from above parameters. Results: Groups held at 26 ℃ attained best growth, feed conversion, and protein deposition at 44% dietary protein indicating that temperature affected dietary protein requirement for optimum growth of H. fossilis fry and protein requirement seems to be satisfied with 44% dietary protein. Interestingly, interactive effects of both dietary protein levels and temperature were not found (P > 0.05). Fish reared at 18 ℃ had comparatively higher values for aspartate and alanine transferases than those reared at 26 ℃ water temperature which exhibited normal physiological value for these enzymes indicating that body metabolism was normal at this temperature. Hematological parameters also followed same pattern. Furthermore, fish reared at 26 ℃ water temperature exhibited more resistant to thermal stress (P < 0.05). The 95% maximum plateau of protein deposition data using second-degree polynomial regression analyses exhibited dietary protein requirement of fry H. fossilis between 40.8 and 41.8% of diet at 26 ℃ water temperature. The recommended range of dietary protein level and protein/digestible energy ratio for fry H. fossilis is 40.8-41.8% and 27.21-27.88 mg protein kJ-1 digestible energy, respectively. Conclusions: Information developed is of high significance for optimizing growth potential by making better utilization of nutrient at 26 ℃ and, to develop effective management strategies for mass culture of this highly preferred fish species.

  • The consumer awareness concerning coffee beverages has increased in Korea. The objective of this study was to optimize the roasting conditions of coffee bean for consumer's attribute. The optimal roasting conditions for Colombian coffee beans were analyzed by using a central composite design with a quadratic polynomial model by response surface methodology (RSM). The experimental conditions for coffee bean roasting were $194.82^{\circ}C{\sim}250.00^{\circ}C$ and 7.93~22.07 minutes. The responses of sensory attributes. physicochemical and physical properties were analyzed with RSM. The width. length and height of green beans increased when the beans were roasted. The higher degree of roasting gave the higher pH and solid contents but the lower total acidity and total phenolic compounds. In sensory tests, the roasting temperature and time had a significant effect on the flavor score. The optimum roasting condition of Colombian coffee bean predicted for maximizing the length, width, solid contents, total phenolic compounds and flavor score were 20 minutes at $225^{\circ}C$ by RSM.

  • The efficient hardware design of finite field multiplication is an very important research topic for and efficient $f(x)=x^n+x^k+1$ implementation of cryptosystem based on arithmetic in finite field GF($2^n$). We used special generating trinomial to construct a bit-parallel multiplier over finite field with low space complexity. To reduce processing time, The hardware architecture of proposed multiplier is similar with existing Mastrovito multiplier. The complexity of proposed multiplier is depend on the degree of intermediate term $x^k$ and the space complexity of the new multiplier is $2k^2-2k+1$ lower than existing multiplier's. The time complexity of the proposed multiplier is equal to that of existing multiplier or increased to $1T_X(10%{\sim}12.5%$) but space complexity is reduced to maximum 25%.

  • The purpose of this study was to classify mandibular dental arch forms based on Raberin's method, and to compare Raberin's arch forms with that of the Korean's, and to designate arch form of bracket level according to distance between cusp tip and buccal surface of bracket level. The sample consisted of 159 mandibular dental casts showing normal occlusion which was taken from 62 males and 97 females of the Korean, aging from 13 to 25 years. The model was taken by X-ray. The landmarks were cusp points which expressed the mandibular dental arch line of cusp tips and buccal points which were measured from cusp tips to buccal surfaces of bracket level. The landmarks on the film were digitized, and measurements and statistics were performed. The results were as follows; 1. The models were classified as type 1, type 2, type 3, type 4 and type 5 by the author, and polynomial functions of the six degree and R-square values were calculated using statistical method, and each calculated equations explained each group with the least R-square value of 0.97, and each arch forms' were plotted. 2. The distribution of type 1 was $17.6\%$, type 2 $20.8\%$, type 3 $20.8\%$, type 4 $16.3\%$ and type 5 $24.5\%$. 3. The Korean arch form was characterized by larger width, smaller height compared to the French arch form. 4. The designated arch form of bracket level, viz the distance between cusp point and buccal point was calculated. The distance between cusp point and buccal point of incisor was 1mm, canine 1.9mm, first premolar 2.5mm, second premolar 2.6mm, first molar 2.7mm and second molar 2.7mm.

  • IGS provides so accute a final precise ephmerides which is offered in the 13rd, and it also offers a rapid precise ephmerides for more prompt application and an ultra-rapid precise ephmerides for real-time application. The purpose of this study is to analyze the accuracy of a rapid precise ephemerides and an ultra-rapid precise ephemerides based on a final precise ephmerides and determine the degree of the Lagrange Interpolation which needs to decide the location of a satellite. As the result of this study, the root mean square error of x,y,z coordinates of a rapid precise ephemerides was $\pm$0.0l6m or so, and the root mean square error of an observed ultra-rapid precise ephemerides was approximately $\pm$0.024m. The root mean square error of an ultra-rapid precise ephemerides predicted for 24 hours was $\pm$0.07m or so and the one of an ultra-rapid precise ephemerides predicted for 6 hours was $\pm$0.04m or so. Therefore, I could figure out that it had higher accuracy than a broadcast ephemerides. Also, in case that the location of a satellite was calculated with the method of the Lagrange Interpolation, it was confirmed that using the 9th order polynomial was efficient.

  • In this study, the Kernel integration scheme for 2D linear elastic direct boundary element method has been discussed on the basis of subparametric element. Usually, the isoparametric based boundary element uses same polynomial order in the both basis function and mapping function. On the other hand, the order of mapping function is lower than the order of basis function to define displacement field when the subparametric concept is used. While the logarithmic numerical integration is generally used to calculate Kernel integration as well as Cauchy principal value approach, new formulation has been derived to improve the accuracy of numerical solution by algebraic modification. The subparametric based direct boundary element has been applied to 2D elliptical partial differential equation, especially for plane stress/strain problems, to demonstrate whether the proposed algebraic expression for integration of singular Kernel function is robust and accurate. The problems including cantilever beam and square plate with a cutout have been tested since those are typical examples of simple connected and multi connected region cases. It is noted that the number of DOFs has been drastically reduced to keep same degree of accuracy in comparison with the conventional isoparametric based BEM. It is expected that the subparametric based BEM associated with singular Kernel function integration scheme may be extended to not only subparametric high order boundary element but also subparametric high order dual boundary element.

  • The effects of immersion temperature $(20,\;40\;and\;60^{\circ}C)$ and immersion times (6. 12 and 18 min) in a distilled water prior to air dehydration upon the browning reaction and pyruvic acid content of air dried onions to a 4.071 moisture content (wet basis) were analyzed by a response surface methodology (RSM). Those values were also predicted by using a second degree polynomial regression model. Immersion temperature had more influence to browning reaction and pyruvic acid content than immersion time in these experimental ranges. The processing conditions to minimize the browning reaction of dried onions at $50^{\circ}C$ of air temperature (O.D.=0.071) were $60^{\circ}C$ of immersion temperature and 18 min of immersion time compared to control (O.D.=0.168) of air dehydration at $50^{\circ}C$ Pyruvic acid contents of dried onions at $50^{\circ}C$ of air temperature were maximized $(39.85{\mu}mole/g\;onion\;solid)$ at $60^{\circ}C$ of immersion temperature and 12 min of immersion time compared to control $(24.08{\mu}mole/g\;onion\;solid)$ of air dehydration at $50^{\circ}C$.
