PC 기판위에 증착된 SiO2/GZO박막의 전자빔 조사에너지에 따른 특성 변화 (Effect of Electron Irradiation Energy on the Properties of GZO/SiO2 Thin Films on Polycarbonate)

  • Ga-doped ZnO (GZO) single layer and $SiO_2/GZO$ bi-layered films were deposited on Polycarbonate(PC) substrate by radio frequency magnetron sputtering. Influence of the structural, electrical, and optical properties of the films was considered. We have considered the influence of electron irradiation energy of 450 and 900 eV on the stuctural, electrical and optical properties of $SiO_2/GZO$ thin films. The optical transmittance in a visible wave length region increased with the electron irradiation energy. The electrical resistivity of the films were dependent on the electron's irradiation energy. The $SiO_2/GZO$ films irradiated at 900 eV were showen the lowest resistivity of $7.8{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}cm$. The film which was irradiated by electron at 900 eV shows 84.3% optical transmittance and also shows lower than contact angle of $58^{\circ}$ in this study.

  • The ablative decomposition mechanism of PMMA(polymethyt methacrylate), PET(polyethylene terephthalate) and PC(polycarbonate) with KrF excimer laser(λ: 248nm, pulse duration: 5ns) is investigated. The UV/Vis spectrometer analysis showed that PMMA is a weak absorber and PET, PC are a strong absorber at the wavelength of 248nm. The results(surface debris, melt, etch depth, etching shape) from drilling and direct writing experiments imply that ablation mechanism of PMMA is dominated by photothermal process, while that of PET, PC are dominated by photochemical process.

  • The ITO thin films were prepared by facing targets sputtering (FTS) system on polycarbonate (PC) substrate. The ITO thin films were deposited with a film thickness of 100 nm at room temperature. As a function of sputtering conditions, electrical and optical properties of prepared ITO thin films were measure. The electrical and optical characteristics of the ITO thin films were evaluted by Hall Effect Measurement (EGK) and UV/VIS spectrometer (HP), respectively. From the results, the ITO thin films was deposited with a resistivity $8{\times}10^{4}\;{\Omega}-cm$ and transmittance over 80 %.

폴리카보네이트 사출성형에 따른 금형과 사출품에서 표면거칠기의 재현성 예측 (Reproducibility Prediction of Surface Roughness in Mold and Injected Parts through Polycarbonate Injection Molding)

  • In this study, we evaluated the surface roughness of mold and injected parts manufactured by polycarbonate (PC) injection molding. The mold surface was polished to produce six differentiated roughnesses with 12 areas using stones (#800, #1200), sandpapers (#800, #1200), and diamond compounds (#8000, #14000). Injected parts were created using 20mm/s injection speed, 80 bar holding pressure for 5 seconds, and $70^{\circ}C$ cooling water. Injected parts surface roughness (Sa) was measured randomly in 10 of 30 using an interferometer (NewView8000, zygo, USA). In the same way, mold surface was measured randomly 10 times on 12 polished areas. Surface roughness of molds and injected parts were compared, and a regression equation to predict mold surface roughness was proposed for specific injection molding parameters.

  • For the application of flexible substrate to future display and new transparent devices, indium tin oxide (ITO) thin film was formed on polycarbonate(PC) substrate at room temperature by in-line sputter system. During the ITO sputtering, Ar and $O_2$ reaction gas were fixed at a constant value and the process pressure was varied from 3 to 7 mtorr. From the electrical and the optical properties of sputtered ITO films, the sheet resistances of as-deposited ITO films varied with a different pressure and the optical transmittances of the ITO films at visible wavelength were maintained above 85%. The results are considered to be due to the saturation of $O_2$ atoms from reaction in ITO film.

전기방사법을 이용한 Polycarbonate 나노 섬유 제조 (Fabrication of Polycarbonate Nano Fibers Using Electrospinning)

  • Polymeric fibers with nanometer-scale diameters are produced by electrospinning. When the electrical forces at the surface of a polymer solution or melt overcome the surface tension then electrospinning occurs. Polycarbonate has been electrospun. Electrospun fibers are observed by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The surface morphology of e-spun fiber has been studied by many variables that are involved in different polymer concentrations, solvent mixing ratios and ambient parameters. The average diameters of the electrospun fibers range from 200 nm to 4,570 nm when the PC concentration is decreasing from 15.5\;wt{\%}\;to\;25\;wt{\%}.$ The higher concentration of the polymer solution makes the fibers thicker due to preventing the fiber stretching. With respect evaporation effects, the solvent mixing ratios cause significant changes of the fiber size distribution. As a matter of fact the fiber diameter steadily increases with increasing amount of DMF until the solvent mixture is at THF:DMF ratio of 60:40.

인라인 스퍼터링에 의한 저항막 방식 터치패널용 ITO 기판 제조공정 최적화 기술 (Process Optimization of ITO Film on PC Substrate Deposited by In-line Sputtering Method for a Resistive-type Touch Panel)

  • 본 연구에서는 인라인 스퍼터링 공정을 이용하여 저항막 방식 터치패널에 적용이 가능한 인듐 주석 산화물(indium tin oxide: ITO)기판 제조 공정을 최적화하였다. 플라스틱 기판으로 고분자 기판인 폴리카보네이트(polycarbonate : PC) 기판을 사용하였으며 면저항 $500{\pm}50\;{\Omega}$/□, 면저항 균일도 10 % 이내, 투과율 87 %(at550nm)이상, 두께 $120{\sim}250\;{\AA}$의 조건을 만족하는 ITO 기판의 공정 최적화를 위한 실험을 진행하였다. 스퍼터링 공정은 초기 진공도 $1{\times}10^{-6}\;torr$ 일 때 상온에서 DC 전압을 인가하여 진행되었으며 산소/알곤 가스의 비율, 인가 전압, 공정 압력, 기판의 이송 속도를 변수로 하여 요구되는 ITO 박막의 특성에 가장 최적화된 공정 조건을 형성하였다. 인라인 방식의 스퍼터 장비에서 최적화된 공정 조건은 실제 생산 라인에 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단되며 향후 지속적인 연구를 통해 현재 수입에 의존하고 있는 ITO 기판 제조기술의 국산화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Effects of Morphology on the Electrical and Mechanical Properties of the Polycarbonate/Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube Composites

  • The electrical, morphological, and mechanical properties of poly carbonate (PC)/multi-walled carbon nan-otube (MWNT) composites were studied by electrical conductivity, electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency (EMI SE), scanning electron microscopy, and tensile strength measurements. In the electrical property analysis of the PC/MWNT composites, the percolation threshold of the PC/MWNT composites was observed between 1.5 and 2.5 wt% MWNT content. From the electrical conductivity and EMI SE studies, the theoretical values of the EMI SE were in good agreement with the experimental values of the EMI SE. From the morphology of the PC/MWNT composites, it was observed that MWNT is dispersed homogenously in the PC matrix. From the electrical conductivity and morphological studies, it was suggested that the percolation threshold of the PC/MWNT composites is related with the morphological results in that MWNT is apparently interconnected to form an electrical pathway. The mechanical properties of the PC/MWNT composites peaked at the MWNT content of 2.5 wt%.

  • 폴리(알킬아크릴레이트-g-카프로락톤) 그라프트 공중합체를 합성하였으며, 이것을 폴리카보네이트(PC)/폴리(아크릴로니트릴-부타디엔-스티렌)(ABS) 블렌드의 상용화제로 사용하였다. PC나 ABS와 비상용성인 폴리 알킬아크릴 레이트 주사슬을 갖는 그라프트 공중합체를 사용하였으며 이것을 PC/ABS의 계면에 위치시키는 것을 목표로 하였다. 그라프트 공중합체를 1중량부 포함하는 블렌드물은 충격 강도는 물론 파단 인장 강도에서 아주 향상된 값을 보였으며, 1/8인치 시편에서의 충격 강도 향상이 두드러졌다. 전자현미경에 의한 형태학적인 분석 결과 그라프트 공중합체의 존재가 좀더 매끄러운 PC/ABS 계면을 형성하게 하는 것으로 나타났다.
