생체분해성 고분자의 합성 및 물성에 관한 연구 -Poly (glycine-co-lactic acid) 와 Poly (glycine-co-glycolic acid)- (Synthesis and Physical Properties of Biodegradable Polymers -Poly (glycine-co-lactic acid) and Poly (glycine-co-glycolic acid)-)

  • Synthetic biodegradable polymers are of great interest for biomedical applications such as surgical sutures and drug delivery systems. The copolymers of ${alpha}-amino$ acids and ${alpha}-hydroxy$ matrices having the required permeability for drugs. Poly (glycine.co-lactic acid) and poly (glycine-co-glycolic acid) have been synthesized by ring-opening polymerization. Morpholine-2, 5-diane, lactide, and glycolid have been used as starting materials for polydepsipeptides. The synthesized monomers and copoylmers have been identified by NMR and FT-lR spectrophotometer. The thermal properties and glass transition temperatures ($T_g$) of the copolymers have been measured by differential scanning calorimetry. The $T_g$ values of poly (glycine-co-lactic acid) and poly (glycine co.glycolic acid) are increased with increasing mole fraction of morpholine-2, 5-dione in the copolymers.

  • Poly(butyl methacrylate-co-polyethyleneglycol methacrylate)(Poly(BMA-co-PEGMA)) microsphere은 침전중합법으로 에탄올 용액에서 제조하였으며 마이크로스페어의 입자 크기는 모노머인 BMA와 PEGMA의 농도조건에 따라 140-210nm까지 조절 할 수 있었다. PEGMA의 농도가 증가할 수록 마이크로스페어의 크기가 작아지는 반면 BMA의 농도가 증가하면 마이크로스페어의 입자크기가 증가하였다.

  • Poly($\varepsilon$-caprolactone)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly($\varepsilon$-caprolactone) (PCL-PEG-PCL) multiblock copolymers at various hydrophobic-hydrophilic ratios were successfully synthesized by the chain extension of triblock copolymers through isocyanate (hexamethylene diisocyanate). Biodegradable films were prepared from the resulting multiblock copolymers using the casting method. The mechanical properties of the films were improved by chain extension of the triblock copolymers, whereas the films prepared by the triblock copolymers were weak and brittle. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) of the multiblock copolymer film showed that the hydrophilic PEG had segregated on the film surface. This is consistent with the observed contact angle of the films.

  • To confirm a new evaluation tedhnique for biodegradability of biopolymer microsphers in vivo condition, magnetic microsphere sytem was adopted for tracing the microspheres injected and lodged in micr. Microsphers of poly(DL-lactic acid), poly(L-alctic acid) and poly(DL-lactide-coglycolide)(PLGA) were prepared by solvent-extraction method and their organ distribution and biodegradation in mice was examined. Magnetic microspheres lodged in mice organs were recollected from the homogenates of mice organs with a constant flow magnetic separation apparatus. Recollected microspheres were observed by scanning electron microscopy and also were assayed for their magnetite ocntent by atomic absorption spectrophotometry to evaluate the biodegradability of polymeric microspheres. This method seems to be practical and simple to estimate the biodegradability of biopolymers over the conventional methods.

도핑농도에 따른 다결정 3C-SiC 마이크로 공진기의 특성 (Characteristics of poly 3C-SiC micro resonators with doping concentrations)

  • This paper describes the characteristics of poly 3C-SiC micro resonators with $3{\times}10^{17}{\sim}1{\times}10^{19}cm^{-3}$ doping concentrations. The 1.2 ${\mu}m$ thick cantilever and the 0.4 ${\mu}m$ thick doubly clamped beam resonators with different lengths were fabricated using poly 3C-SiC thin films. The characteristics of poly 3C-SiC micro resonators were evaluated by quartz and a laser vibrometer in vacuum at room temperature. The resonant frequencies of micro resonators decreased with doping concentrations owing to reduction in the Young's modulus of poly 3C-SiC thin films. It was confirmed that the resonant frequencies of poly 3C-SiC resonators are controllable by doping concentrations. Therefore, poly 3C-SiC resonators could be applied to MEMS devices and bio/chemical sensor applications.

  • 다양한 LDD(lightly doped drain)에 따른 n-channel poly-Si TFT (thin film transistor)에 대하여 보고한다. 유리 기판 위에 ELA를 이용하여 만들어진 Polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si)은 TFT-LCD의 응용을 위한 재료로써 우수한 특성을 갖는다. 제작된 n-channel TFT는 절연층으로 $SiN_x$, $SiO_2$의 이중 구조를 갖는다. 다양한 LDD에 따른 n-channel poly-Si TFT의 문턱전압($V_{TH}$), ON/OFF 전류비 ($I_{ON}/I_{OFF}$), 포화전류($I_{DSAT}$)는 TFT의 보다 좋은 성능을 위해 연구된다. 짧은 LLD 길이를 가진 n-channel poly-Si TFT의 문턱전압은 작고, 포화전류의 값은 크다. 또한 긴 LLD 길이를 가진 n-channel poly-Si TFT는 작은 kink effect를 가진다.

Binding Mode of [Ruthenium(II)$(1,10-Phenanthroline)_2L]^{2+}\;to\;Poly(dG){\cdot}poly( dC){\cdot}poly(dC)^+$ Triplex DNA

  • Binding geometries of $[Ru(II)(110-phenanthroline)_2L]^2+$, complexes (where L = dipyrido [3,2-a:2',3'-c]phena-zine (DPPZ) or benzodipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c] phenazine (BDPPZ)) to poly(dG)${\cdot}$poly(dC)${\cdot}$poly(dC) + triplex DNA (CGC + triplex) has been investigated by linear dichroism and normal absorption spectroscopy. Analysis of the linear dichroism for the CGC+ triplex and $[Ru(II)(phen)_2BDPPZ]^2+$ complex indicates that the extended ligand of the metal complex lie perpendicular to the polynucleotide helix axis. Together with strong hypochromism and red shift in the interligand absorption region, we concluded that the extended BDPPZ or DPPZ ligand in-tercalated between the bases of polynucleotide. The spectral properties of the metal complexes bound to CGC+ triplex are similar to those bound to $poly(dA)[poly(dT)]^2$ triplex (Choi et al., Biochemistry 1997, 36, 214), sug-gesting that the metal complex is located in the minor groove of the CGC+ triplex.

Conformation of Single Stranded Poly(dA) and Its Interaction with 4',6-Diamidino-2-phenylindole

  • We studied the interaction of 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) with single stranded poly(dA) using optical spectroscopic methods, including absorption, circular dichroism (CD), and fluorescence spectroscopy. The temperature-dependent conformation of poly(dA) was also investigated. The conformation of poly(dA) varied with temperature, which is explained by the stacking-destacking process of the adenine bases, resulting from the sugar conformation. The hypochromicity and red-shift in the absorption spectroscopy, the lack of CD change in the drag absorption region, and the fluorescence behavior, especially a great accessibility of the I2 quencher to the poly(dA)-bound DAPI, suggest that DAPI binds to the outside of poly(dA). The Job plot for the DAPI-poly(dA) mixture demonstrated that a stoichiometry of one DAPI molecule binds to the one phosphate of poly(dA).

바이오 폴리우레탄과 석유기반 폴리우레탄의 물성 비교 (Property Comparison of Bio-Polyurethane and Petroleum based Polyurethane)

  • The three polyols, poly(trimethylene ether) glycol 2000, poly(tetramethylene ether) glycol 2000 and poly (tetramethylene ether) glycol 1000 were reacted with 4,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate to get polyurethanes. The synthesized three polyurethanes were measured by FT-IR, NMR for investigating chemical structures. Through two spectroscophical methods, It is found that urethane group exists in the three polymers. From the evaluation of hardness, glass transition temperature, tensile strength, and water resistance, the results showed increasing order of Poly(tetramethylene ether) glycol 1000 > Poly(trimethylene ether) glycol 2000 > Poly(tetramethylene ether) glycol 2000 with the content of hard segment in polyurethane.
