The interaction of weak normal shock wave with turbulent boundary layer in a supersonic nozzle was investigated experimentally by wall static pressure measurements and by schlieren optical observations. The lime-mean flow in the interaction region was classified into four patterns according to the ratio of the pressure $p_k$ at the first kink point in the pressure distribution of the interaction region to the pressure $p_1$ just upstream of the shock. It is shown for any flow pattern that the wall static pressure rise near the shock foot can be described by the "free interaction" which is defined by Chapman et al. The ratio of the triple point height $h_t$ of the bifurcated shock to the undisturbed boundary layer thickness ${\delta}_1$ upstream of the interaction increases with the upstream Mach number $M_1$, and for a fixed $M_1$, the normalized triple point height $h_t/{\delta}_1$ decreases with increasing ${\delta}_1/h$, where h is the duct half-height.

In this manuscript, we formulate the notion of Ω(H, θ)-contraction on a self mapping f : W → W, this contraction based on the concept of Ω-distance mappings equipped on G-metric spaces together with the concept of H-simulation functions and the class of Θ-functions, we employ our new contraction to unify the existence and uniqueness of some new fixed point results. Moreover, we formulate a numerical example and a significant application to show the novelty of our results; our application is based on the significant idea that the solution of an equation in a certain condition is similar to the solution of a fixed point equation. We are utilizing this idea to prove that the equation, under certain conditions, not only has a solution as the Intermediate Value Theorem says but also that this solution is unique.

This research is the basic research to develop new anti-inflammatory medicine by feeding Scutellariae Radix extract to lipopolysaccharide(LPS) exposed rats, and analyzed it's effect on inflammatory response by LPS derivation. As a result, Plasma interleukin-$1\beta(IL-1\beta)$ and Plasma interleukin-6(IL-6) concentration showed the highest point at 5h after LPS injection, and in this time, the concentration of $IL-1\beta$ and IL-6 in the Scutellariae Radix extract groups at 200mg/kg and 300mg/kg showed lower values than that of control group. Plasma tumor necrosis $factor-\alpha(TNF-\alpha)$ concentration after LPS injection showed the highest point at 2h and showed similar level till at 5h. $TNF-\alpha$ concentration at 2h after LPS injection showed the low value only in the Scutellariae Radix extract 300mg/kg group compared to others, and in 5h, the all Scutellariae Radix extract groups showed lower value than that of the control group. Plasma interleukin-10(IL-10) concentration increased at 2h after LPS injection and reached the highest at 5h. After LPS injection the IL-10 concentration at 2h, the Scutellariae Radix extract injection group at 300mg/kg showed higher value than that of the others, and in 5h after LPS injection, Scutellariae Radix extract 200mg and 300mg groups showed higher value than the control group. Concluding from the above results, in inflammatory response by LPS derivation, the Scutellariae Radix gives positive effect.

In the present paper, we prove common fixed point theorems for single-valued and set-valued occasionally weakly compatible mappings in Menger spaces. Our results improve and extend the results of Chen and Chang [Chi-Ming Chen and Tong-Huei Chang, Common fixed point theorems in Menger spaces, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 2006 (2006), Article ID 75931, Pages 1-15].

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems of Halpern iteration for relatively asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in the framework of Banach spaces. Our results extend and improve the recent ones announced by [C. Martinez-Yanes, H. K. Xu, Strong convergence of the CQ method for fixed point iteration processes, Nonlinear Anal. 64 (2006), 2400-2411], [X. Qin, Y. Su, Strong convergence theorem for relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007), 1958-1965] and many others.

This paper proposes a new Interior Point Method algorithm to improve the computation speed and solution stability, which have been challenging problems for employing the nonlinear Optimal Power Flow. The proposed algorithm is different from the traditional Interior Point Methods in that it adopts the Predictor-Corrector Method. It also accommodates the five minute dispatch, which is highly recommended in modern electricity market. Finally, the efficiency and applicability of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated with a case study.

In last paper, it was suggested electrochemical polishing method using the point electrode tools. It was aimed that Machining rate in ECM using the point electrode method should be ultimately small and also high dimension accuracy and surface integrity should be fine. In this paper, the machining characteristics were investigated by using the several types of electrolyte.

This paper discribed the characteristic of I-t cross-over-point between current limited-fuse and explusion fuse(Bay-O-Net Fuse) and fuse protection in pad-mounted transformer that was generated internal faults and the short circuit of secondary side(load side). In the I-t cross-over-point, current limited fuse was melted when transient recovery voltage was raised rapidly.

In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for some weaker forms of compatibility satisfying a contractive condition of integral type on d-complete Hausdorff topological spaces. Our results extend and generalize some well known previous results.
