In this work, the electrical bistability of an organic CT complex is demonstrated and the possible switching mechanism is proposed. 2,9-Dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BCP) and tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) are used as an organic donor and acceptor, respectively, and poly-methamethylacrylate (PMMA) is used as a polymeric matrix for spin-coating. A device with the Al/($Al_2O_3$)/PMMA:BCP:TCNQ[1:1:0.5 wt%]/Al configuration demonstrated bistable and switching characteristics similar to Ovshinsky switching with a low threshold voltage and a high ON/OFF ratio. An analysis of the current-voltage curves of the device suggested that electrical switching took place due to the charge transfer mechanism.

In-situ observations of nano-scale behavior of nanomaterials are very important to understand onthe nano-scale phenomena associated with phase change, atomic movement, electrical or optical properties, and even reactions which take place in gas or liquid phases. We have developed on the in-situ experimental technologies of nano-materials (nano-cluster, nanowire, carbon nanotube, and graphene, et al.) and their interactions (percolation of metal nanoclusters, inter-diffusion, metal contacts and phase changes in nanowire devices, formation of solid nano-pores, melting behavior of isolated nano-metal in a nano-cup, et al.) by nano-discovery membrane platform [1-4]. Between two microelectrodes on a silicon nitride membrane platform, electrical percolations of metal nano-clusters are observed with nano-structures of deposited clusters. Their in-situ monitoring can make percolation devices of different conductance, nanoclusters based memory devices, and surface plasmonic enhancement devices, et al. As basic evidence on the phase change memory, phase change behaviors of nanowire devices are observed at a nano-scale.

Mental workload has a improtant place in modern work environment such as human-computer interaction. Designing man-machine system requires knowledge and evaluation of the human cognitive process which controls information flow during our works. Many studies estimate reaction time as a index of menatal workload. This paper investigates what reflacts the workload of human information handling when the informations grow its degree. Experiment result introuce the memory time that explain the information-load more sensitive than react time. And react time shows learning effect but memory time does'nt show that effect So it can be concluded that cognitive learning or work schema needs more time to achieve dexterity than motor skill.

NAND flash memory has widely been used because of non-volatility, low power consumption and fast access time. However, it suffers from inability to provide update-in-place and the erase cycle is limited. The unit of read/write operation is a page and the unit of erase operation is a block. Moreover erase operation is slower than other operations. We proposed the Adaptive Garbage Collection (called "AGC") policy which focuses on not only reducing garbage collection process time for real-time guarantee but also wear-leveling for a flash memory lifetime. The AGC performs better than Cost-benefit policy and Greedy policy. But the AGC does not consider the operation characteristics. So we proposed the Advanced Adaptive Garbage Collection (called "A-AGC") policy which considers the page write operation count and block erase operation count. The A-AGC reduces the write operations by considering the data update frequency and update data size. Also, it reduces the erase operations by considering the file fragmentation. We implemented the A-AGC policy and measured the performance compared with the AGC policy. Simulation results show that the A-AGC policy performs better than AGC, specially for append operation.

A critique on Freud's remembering taken place in the 80's and 90s has a significant impact on a paradigm shift: from the discursive constructivism to the neo-empiricism. Along with Marx and Nietzsche, Freud was one of the main intellectual sources in formulating the Cultural Studies, known as the political corrections in the later period of Post-modern era. In the wake of feminism, there was a social happening, namely, a memory restoration, when a woman therapist helped a woman patient to restore the past and come up with her father as the cause of her trauma. Finally, 'the false memory syndrome' brought up a hot issue firing on the controversy about Freudian remembering. Freud as a clinical therapist began to be a sole target to be criticized. Strangely enough, however, Freud was continually utilized by such theorists as Julia Kristeva, Homi Bhabah, and Žižek, while having dissenters like Deleuze, Quattari, and Butler. Of those intellectual claims, this paper focuses on the debates by the dissenters not from the discursive theorists but from the clinical studies: Sulloway, Grunbaum, and Crews. My argument directs to the empirical side of Freud for the conclusion that the dispute on him was a seed of a paradigm shift towards the neo-empiricism, after one century's flourishing of constructivism.

The color gray in the cinema expresses the private or public memory and oblivion in the reminiscence scenes. The aesthetic function and meaning of gray that interacts with other elements in cinematic time and space are expanded in various ways. This study was analyzed the cases in which gray was used as the main visual style by limiting the scope to Korean films. Based on the traditional cultural symbolic meaning of gray, I analyzed how it was applied and transformed in films, and interpreted the cultural-social meaning by the interaction between gray and other elements. In film history starting from monochrome, gray has been used as a visual device suitable for realizing cinematic or imaginary reality. Gray is adopted when dreams or recollections are visualized as imaginary reality, and it is used when dreamy imaginations of daydreaming are demonstrated. Gray, which reproduces the dreamlike reality of imagination, is the concrete and realistic way of expression. First, in Korean films, gray is a flashback visual device that recalls the past, and is an intermediary visual form that materializes the imaginary. In films such as Ode to My Father (2014), DongJu (2015), A Resistance(2019) and The Battle : Roar to Victory (2019), the gray of the past is a visual device for cultural memory that builds the homogeneity and identity of the group. In the era of hyper-visibility, gray in black and white images is intended to be clearly remembered by unfamiliarity rather than blurry oblivion by familiarity. Second, in genre films with disaster materials such as Train To Busan (2016) and Ashfall (2019), the grays of rain, fog, clouds, shadows and smoke highlight other elements, and the gray color causes anxiety and fear. In war films such as TaeGukGi: Brotherhood Of War (2003) and The Front Line (2011), gray shows a more intense brutality than the primary color. In sports films such as 4th Place (2015), Take Off (2009) and Forever The Moment (2007), gray expresses uncertainty and immaturity. Third, gray visualizes the historical memory of A Petal (1996), the oblivion in Oh! My Gran (2020) and Poetry (2010), and the reality of daydreaming Gagman (1988) and Dream (1990). At the boundary between imagination and reality, gray is a visual form of dreams, memories and forgetfulness.

Background: Alcohol is one of the most commonly used psychoactive drugs. Due to its addictive characteristics, many people struggle with the side effects of alcohol. Korean Red Ginseng (KRG) is a traditional herbal medicine that is widely used to treat various health problems. However, the effects and mechanisms of KRG in alcohol-induced responses remain unclear. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of KRG in alcohol-induced responses. Methods: We investigated two aspects: alcohol-induced addictive responses and spatial working memory impairments. To determine the effects of KRG in alcohol-induced addictive responses, we performed conditioned place preference tests and withdrawal symptom observations. To assess the effects of KRG in alcohol-induced spatial working memory impairment, Y-maze, Barnes maze, and novel object recognition tests were performed using mice after repeated alcohol and KRG exposure. To investigate the potential mechanism of KRG activity, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and western blot analysis were performed. Results: KRG-treated mice showed dose-dependent restoration of impaired spatial working memory following repeated alcohol exposure. Furthermore, withdrawal symptoms to alcohol were reduced in mice treated with KRG and alcohol. The PKA-CREB signaling pathway was activated after alcohol administration, which was reduced by KRG. However, the levels of inflammatory cytokines were increased by alcohol and decreased by KRG. Conclusion: Taken together, KRG may alleviate alcohol-induced spatial working memory impairments and addictive responses through anti-neuroinflammatory activity rather than through the PKA-CREB signaling pathway.

The Car Navigation System(CNS) requires lots of memory and calculating time because it works on the large and complex digital map. And the traffic circumstances vary time by time, so the traffic informations should be processed if we want to get mere realistic result. This paper proposes an effective path searching algorithm which uses less memories and calculating time by applying directional information between the starting place and destination place and by using realtime traffic informations.

The comtemporary architecture has not an discourse on form and representative style, but a new architectural concept of the generative process through the various relationship of the urban context, the continuity of the time and the experience of the people. This architectureal concepts make new and various architectural attempts to have a virtuality. The viruality is a reality to coexist with the present in contemporary philosophy. Daniel libeskind makes various arhcitectural experimentative attempts to reveal his virtuality through his memory as the Jews and his unconscious virtuality. The 'line' has the connotation of architectural reality and virtuality. Every line drawn becomes architectural form for example, walls, windows and makes spaces, and reveal a boundary as a connection. Architecture's visibility understates and structures its invisible aspect, so that the visible and the invisible make the architecture together. Daniel libeskind maks the virtual lines having the invisible of unconsious, time, and place. He no longer divide the form of architecture, its spatiality from all the implications which it adresses beyond its own particular built time and place and public unconsious mind. He demands the 'virtual line' that remembers distress and the past and reveal the virtuality of time and place. The virtual line is the sentimental communication of architecture.
