An experimental study was carried out to investigate the stabilizing capability of oyster shell binder, which was developed using waste oyster shell inducing environmental pollutions by piling up out at the open or the temporary reclamation. The purpose of this paper is to compare stabilinzing capability of oyster shell binder and cement binder with treated soils. For this, a series of compressive laboratory tests were peformed to evaluate strength characteristics of treated soils by both oyster shell binder and cement binder with varing water content of dredged soils, different mixing rates of binder and curing days. Based on test results, eco-friendly binder manufactured by oyster shells showed more stabilizing capacity than cement binder and is estimated as good resource materials for soft soil improvements.
The bored pile is widely used as a low noise and vibration piling method in Korea. However, there is design tendency to minimize the friction capacity of the bored pile because of uncertainty and the quality control specification is not set up. This research analysed the strength characteristics of cement paste after the uniaxial compression test with various condition. Test results show that the compressive strength of cement paste with w/c=0.83 was up to $156.0kgf/cm^2$, and the lower w/c ratio and the longer age, the strength of cement paste increased. Also the higher soil mixing ratio, the strength of soil cement decreased, and too high soil mixing ratio caused the malfuction of soil cement. Also this research analysed the 188 dynamic pile test results which were performed before and after hardening of cement paste. Analysis result showed that the average ultimate unit friction capacity was $9.1tf/m^2$ and this result surpassed the common design criteria of the bored pile.

In this paper we propose a new theory of multilayer physical adsorption based on the view that a second or higher layer molecule will be adsorbed above the center of a square or triangular array of molecules, rather than on top of molecules themselves, in the next lower layer and the corresponding adsorption isotherm is derived. The derived isotherm contains three adjustable parameters; $v_m$ (monolayer capacity), q/$q_1$ (ratio of the molecular partition function for the second or higher layer vs. that for the first layer) and n (a parameter characterizing the piling pattern of adsorbed molecules). When applied to adsorption of argon on "Carbolac" carbon and nitrogen on Linde silica, excellent agreements between observed and calculated values are obtained up to p/$p_0$ = 0.8. In both cases n = 3 gives the best fit and this probably indicates that adsorbed molecules are piled up in a closest packing pattern.

This study was carried out to suggest plan of earth surface erosion by typifying landforms in Gwangeung Forest. Elements of landform were classifyed as hierachical system by scale. Scale for classification set a decision as four categories. We could classify landforms which level zero is 4 levels of elements, level one is 6, level two is twelve, level three is twenty seven. However, micro landforms of valley bottom which is hard to mapping made a categorization as upper valley, middle valley, artificial channel valley. Plan for soil erosion suggested yarding corridor, landform management for surroundings of slope and bridge using rock and gravel, road construction for forest management stable bedrock rather than soil layer, repose angles and piling up rocks for channel walls, and setting up buffer zone when forest thinning be carried out. The result of this research will be expected to provide information for forest management of mountainous areas by landform types.
In highland crop fields, saprolite is piled up approximately every three years as deep much as 20 to 30 cm because farmers expect that adding new materials may improve productivity and mitigate hazards by continuous cultivation of a single crop. Piling saprolite, however, has been reported to induce poor soil drainage. Effects of deep ploughing with a spading machine and an excavator were studied in sites located in Daekwanryeong-myeon, Pyeongchang in which soil physical properties were deteriorated by piled saprolite. The soil made of parent material of Samgag series was piled up over surface soil of Haggog series naturally developed in the area. Carrot was cultivated in the field. Productivity and growth factors of carrot were compared among control and deep ploughing by a spading machine and an excavator. Effective soil depth extended to 60 cm or greater by 60 cm deep ploughing by an excavator or 50 cm deep ploughing by a spading machine. On the other hand, effective soil depth was within 50 cm at control plot. Productivity of carrot responded to amelioration of soil physical properties. The productivity was greater in deep ploughing treatments than that of control or 30 cm ploughing. It suggested that increased productivity by deep ploughing was mainly related to breaking plough pan which inhibited extension of rooting zone.
Superconductor is weak in AC condition. Bifilar geometry provides a solution to reduce AC loss. Bifialr geometry is piled up or wound with more than two layers. When a layer of superconductor abuts on other layers, AC loss is affected by not only self-field, but also magnetic field induced by adjacent layers. In this study, two superconductors are piled up as a series connection so that current flows in different directions. By this method, magnetic field is cancelled. If magnetic field is cancelled, AC loss is reduced. To compare AC loss with respect to piling method, we measured the AC loss difference between the case facing each other with substrate side and the case facing with YBCO side. Measured AC loss is compared with one-way current flow single layer AC loss. In addition, we analyzed how much AC loss was increased, or reduced. All results were compared with those calculated with Norris equation. By this experiment, we concluded that distance between two wires is the important cause of AC loss. The distance between two wires affects magnetic field reduction in YBCO and induced current flow on substrate side.
Many researches are actively doing for digital implementation of traditional architectural heritage using multimedia and virtual reality technologies. In addition, various attempts are progressed to utilize the digitally implemented traditional architectural heritage as "contents." Nowadays, the digitally implemented traditional architectural heritage can be displayed on through the Internet and/or many multimedia appliances by these attempts. Recently, virtual reality technology, especially augmented reality technology, begins to grab the attention for digitally implementing architectural heritage. Augmented reality is a technology that makes possible to show the overlapped contents by piling up the virtual objects on the real world. Many studies for augmented reality are progressed because it has an advantage in interacting with virtual objects and information. This study proposes the method of digital implementation of traditional architectural heritage by using augmented reality technology. We presented the method and process of digital implementation of traditional architectural heritage with augmented reality technology. Moreover, digitally implemented traditional architectural heritage with augmented reality is compared with the contents implemented by other computer technologies. We, also, presented how to utilize the traditional architectural heritage contents by using augmented reality.

Moving figures and piling up some boxes are newly the introduced studying contents in the 7th curriculum of mathematics and it will be able to form the sense of space of the students. Against the studying contents for the sense of space formation, the teachers of site speak instruction is very difficult and the student's scores are low. Elementary school mathematics studying which inclusive of figure studying is the most effective when they operate the actual object. But in the school site, the instruction with actual object is very difficult because many reasons. And web based studying data system which is for forming the sense of space the students is not abundant because it started initially. From this dissertation, studying contents will be taken out and web base figure studying system will be designed and embodied. The interaction will be active in the system. Student will be able to understand the principle by the medium of the animation from the system and they can improve their sense of space by the interesting game.
By piling up hidden layers in artificial neural networks, deep learning is delivering outstanding performances for high-level abstraction problems such as object/speech recognition and natural language processing. Alternatively, deep-learning users often struggle with the tremendous amounts of time and resources that are required to train deep neural networks. To alleviate this computational challenge, many approaches have been proposed in a diversity of areas. In this work, two of the existing Apache Spark-based acceleration frameworks for deep learning (SparkNet and DeepSpark) are compared and analyzed in terms of the training accuracy and the time demands. In the authors' experiments with the CIFAR-10 and CIFAR-100 benchmark datasets, SparkNet showed a more stable convergence behavior than DeepSpark; but in terms of the training accuracy, DeepSpark delivered a higher classification accuracy of approximately 15%. For some of the cases, DeepSpark also outperformed the sequential implementation running on a single machine in terms of both the accuracy and the running time.
The prediction of driving stresses in piles is necessary for optimum selection of driving hammers, better design of precast piles, enact assessment of drivabilities and complete description of piling specifications. However, the existing pile-driving formulas based on the theory of Newtonian impact have some defects and shortcomings; the numerical method by the wave equation analysis using electronic computer usually Involves various uncertainties and limitations which can yield erroneous outcomes because it employs soil constants of which the nature is unknown as essential parameters and ignores the effect of residual stresses set up in the pile .after each hammer blow; and the electronic measuring technique needs extra time and expense. The method developed herein is presented for the purpose of giving field engineers a reliable and convenient analytical procedure for the prediction of driving stresses along the full length of pile using the most effetive parameters without resort to electronic computer. This method is based on the fundamental mechanics of stress waves in elastic rods and takes into account the effect of residual stresses induced by reversed friction in piles.
