Purpose: The purpose of this study are to understand the meaning and essential structure of clinical nurses' experiences of verbal violence and find nursing intervention for them by applying phenomenological research method. Methods: The participants in this study were seven clinical nurses with experience of verbal violence. Data collection were conducted from August 2016 through January 2017 until data saturation. Data analysis was performed through a cyclical process of data collection and analysis by applying Giorgi's phenomenological method. Results: Four categories were identified: A weapon of the mind: the shock of verbal abuse; negative emotions that shake my heart; skepticism about the value and meaning of a job; an unforgettable wound. Conclusions: The results of this study provide a deeper understanding of the pain caused by verbal violence experienced by nurses from their care recipients. These results suggest that nursing interventions for nurses with experience of verbal violence will contribute to resolving the problem.
In this paper, We analyze elementary school teachers' experiences of Novel Engineering classes with phenomenological qualitative research method. The purpose of this study is to find out why elementary school teachers were interested in Novel Engineering, to find out the pros and cons of the class and the possibility of convergence classes. At first elementary teachers who participated in the study conducted a theme-based ecological sensitivity classes with Novel Engineering in the second semester of 2021. Then we conducted interview with teacher's student observation and the teacher's reflection. As a result of interview analysis, 4 components and 13 sub-components were derived. The derived components are learning from mistakes, recognition of the importance of class research, creativity in the making process, and high integration of Novel Engineering and existing subjects. Based on these results, What this research suggests is the expansion of administrative and financial support for teachers' autonomous class research and convergence classes such as Novel Engineering.

In this study, we propose research methods to explore the nature of earth science by applying the phenomenological approach and NOS-family resemblance approach based on literature review. The phenomenological approach exploring the nature of earth science is a method of collecting, analyzing and synthesizing multifaceted features of earth science from intuitive sensory phenomena without prejudice. As a way of exploring the nature of earth science from a phenomenological point of view, we propose the NOS-family resemblance approach to the NOS. This approach provides a comprehensive explanation of NOS by combining the characteristics shared by different areas of science with distinct differences. Applying this method to exploring the nature of earth science, we can identify both domain-general and domain-specific characteristics that make sub-areas of earth science a 'family.' For example, through the networking of features shared by such sub-areas as geology, atmospheric science, oceanography, astronomy, earth system science, etc., we can extract the family-resemblance characteristics that make these sub-areas a family called earth science. Through these approaches to the nature of earth science, the richness, complexity, and dynamic nature of earth science can be revealed as a whole. In addition, we will be able to grasp the change in the sub-areas that constitute the earth science, which in turn changes the nature of earth science, and to contribute to establishing the status and development system of earth science as a school subject.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe pregnant women's lived experiences of hospitalization due to preterm labor in Korea. Methods: This qualitative study adopted a phenomenological approach. Individual in-depth interviews were conducted with nine participants, over the age of 20 years, who had been hospitalized for more than 1 week after being diagnosed with preterm labor. All interviews were audio-taped and verbatim transcripts were made for analysis. The data were analyzed following Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Results: The participants' ages ranged from 26 to 36 years, and all were married women. They were hospitalized for 13.1 days on average. Five thematic clusters emerged from the analysis. 'Withstanding hospitalization for the fetus's well-being' describes women's feelings during preterm labor and their endurance during their prolonged hospitalization, rooted in their conviction that the fetus comes first. 'Endless frustration in the hospital' encompasses women's emotions while lying in bed and quietly thinking to themselves. 'Unmet physiological needs' describes participants' awareness of their inability to independently handle human physiological needs given the need for careful and limited movement. 'Gratitude for the support around oneself' reflects the support from family and medical staff. 'Shifting perceptions and accepting one's circumstances' describes accepting hospitalization and making efforts to spend their remaining time in the hospital in a meaningful way. Conclusion: The findings in this study provide a deeper understanding and insights into the experiences of Korean women with preterm labor during hospitalization, underscoring the need to develop interventions for these patients.

Result: The job experiences of nurse managers in small and medium hospitals were classified after analysis into 14 theme cluster sets and 34 themes in five categories. The categories derived were 'A feeling of pressure as if taking responsibility for the entire hospital', 'Taking on the difficulties of hiring a nurse alone.' 'Difficulty in mediating conflicts within the organization', 'Struggling to endure', 'To take root in the field with a sense of ownership'. This study was analyzed using Giorgi (1985)'s phenomenological research method to find the essential meaning of the strengths inherent in the experience of national players. The research participants selected the final six athletes who wanted to participate in the national team's individual and team events using the Purposeful sampling method. In-depth interviews were conducted from September to December 2019, and 90 to 180 minutes were conducted once and two in-depth interviews were conducted for each athletes. As a result, categories were derived from 17 sub-factors, 5 factors, and 5 factors were found to make good habits, make my own weapons, think positively, simplify and maintain good condition. The five factors shown in the results are used as strengths when they are voluntarily done, and these strengths create a chance and vitality for players to truly like their sport. These character strengths are expected to be used as positive information for players' development of positive psychology programs and psychological skills training.
