부모의 언어통제유형에 따른 유아의 조망수용능력과 대인문제해결력 (Children's Perspective-taking and Interpersonal Problem-solving Abilities according to Parents' Verbal Control Styles)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how the difference of parents' verbal control styles influence children's perspective-taking and interpersonal cognitive problem-solving skills. The subjects of this study were 117 five-year-old children with their parents included. The questionnaire used was relevant to the topic, such as parents' verbal control styles, young children's perspective-taking ability, and their interpersonal cognitive problem-solving skills. The percent, mean, standard deviation, three-way ANOVA, and Scheffe were used to analyze the data collected through SPSS WIN program. The major findings are as follows: First, a father's verbal control style makes a significant difference in young child's perspective-taking ability. However, there is no interaction effect between parents' verbal control styles and a child's sex. Second, a father's verbal control style makes a significant difference in young child's interpersonal cognitive problem-solving skills. Character-oriented verbal control mode of a father, in particular, produces more effects on boys than girls. Lastly, Two skills - alternative problem-solving skills and cause-solving skills - have interaction effects. Boys demonstrate higher skills than girls when parents apply character-oriented verbal control styles. Girls do so when mothers use position-oriented verbal control styles, especially in the area of cause-solving skills.

그림책을 활용한 협력활동이 유아의 자기조절력과 조망수용능력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Collaborative Activities Using Picture Books on Self-regulation and Perspective-taking abilities of Young Children)

  • Objective: This study aimed to examine the effects of collaborative activities by utilizing picture books in order to improve the self-regulation and perspectivetaking abilities among four-year-olds. Methods: A total of 52 four-year-olds(control group 26, experimental group 26) attending two classes at D kindergarten located in B city participated in this study. Before and after the activities, all participants individually took a social perspective taking ability instrument and rated their self-regulation with a teacher. Data were analyzed by conducting ANCOVA in the way of setting pre-test scores as the covariate and post-test scores as the dependent variable. Results: First, the total and subarea of self-regulation in the experimental group was higher than the control group. Second, the cognitive and emotional perspective taking abilities in the experimental group were higher than the control group in all cares. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study suggest that collaborative activities using picture books are effective in improving young children's selfregulation and perspective-taking abilities.

시설보호 아동과 일반아동의 사회적 기술 정서조망 능력의 비교 (Differences between Institutionalized and Home-reared Children in Social Skills and Affective Perspective Taking)

  • This study compared the social skills and affective perspective taking of institutionalized and home-reared children. The subjects were 59 institutionalized and 60 home-reared children in Seoul. Results showed that institutionalized children were lower in cooperation, self-assertion and self-control than home-reared children. Institutionalized children were lower in delight, sadness, fear, and anger than home-reared children. As skills in self-control increased, the level of affective perspective taking about fear increased.

"조망 수용 능력이 안전을 높인다." : 진정성 리더십이 안전 행동에 미치는 영향 ("Perspective Taking Enhances Safety" : The Effect of Authentic Leadership on Safety Behavior)

  • Considering that previous works on safety behavior relatively have not paid adequate attention to the influence of various leadership styles on safety behavior. The current paper investigates the impact of authentic leadership on safety behavior and its intermediating mechanisms. In specific, this paper delves into the mediating effect of job stress, as well as the moderating effect of perspective taking ability of employees in the association between authentic leadership and job stress. The results demonstrated that that authentic leadership has a negative (-) influence on job stress, which has a negative (-) influence on safety behavior. Moreover, job stress mediated the association between authentic leadership and safety behavior. Furthermore, perspective taking moderated the authentic leadership-safety behavior link.

The Influence of Love versus Lust on Consumer Judgments

  • According to previous literature, love involves a feeling of emotional bonds, attachment, and commitment to a specific target from a long-term perspective. In contrast, lust is defined as a sexual desire to engage in sexual activities from a short-term perspective. This research investigates the influence of feelings of love or lust on consumers' long-term benefit-seeking and risk-taking behaviors. Study 1 examined whether consumers' long-term benefit-seeking behaviors depend on feelings of love or lust. As a result, consumers who experienced feelings of love were more likely to prefer products that provide long-term benefits (e.g., a hybrid car) than those who experienced feelings of lust. Study 2 investigated consumers' risk-taking behaviors, depending on feelings of love or lust. The results showed that consumers in the lust condition were more willing to take a risk (e.g., a trip to a hazardous area) than those in the love condition. Taken together, this research demonstrates that consumers' long-term benefit-seeking and risk-taking behaviors depend on feelings of love or lust. Practical and theoretical implications are further discussed.

요양보호사의 마음건강, 관점수용, 노인 돌봄태도 및 정량 뇌파 분석 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Mental Fitness, Perspective Taking, Attitude toward the Elderly, and Quantitative Encephalogram among Caregivers)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the mental fitness, perspective taking, attitude toward the elderly, and quantitative encephalogram among caregivers. Methods: In this mixed method research, 14 female caregivers at an elderly care facility in Y city were participated from December 1st to December 31st, 2019. Structured questionnaires were applied to measure general characteristics, mental fitness, perspective taking, and attitude toward the elderly. Brain waves were measured by quantitative encephalogram in the prefrontal lobe. High frequency and high level of care tasks were analyzed using content analysis. Results: According to analysis of brain waves, caregivers experienced high level of physical strain & stress and psychological distraction & stress. Mental fitness (p<.05) and perspective taking (p<.001) were associated with attitude toward the elderly. Moreover, physical strain & stress was associated with psychological distraction & stress (p<.05, p<.001). High frequency and high level tasks were excretion and position change & movement care related tasks, respectively. Conclusion: These findings should be consider as an evidence for supporting care tasks based on concrete and objective understanding of caregivers using self-reported index as well as neurophysiological indicators including brain waves.

사회적 긍정정서와 친화성이 조망수용과 긍정적 대처에 미치는 영향 (The effects of social positive affect and agreeableness on perspective taking and positive coping)

  • 본 연구는 긍정정서를 사회성 축에 따라 사회적 긍정정서와 비사회적 긍정정서로 나눌시 조망수용능력과 긍정적 대처간의 관계가 다르게 나타나는지 알아보았다. 그리고 그 관계가 성격변인인 친화성에 따라 조절되는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 대학생을 대상으로 실험 1과 2를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 사회적 긍정정서를 느낀 집단은 비사회적 긍정정서 집단보다 통계적으로 유의하게 조망수용능력이 높고, 회피/체념 대처전략보다 긍정적 대처전략을 택하는 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 아울러, 긍정정서의 사회성 유무와 조망수용능력간의 관계에서는 성격변인인 친화성이 유의한 조절효과가 있었다. 즉, 비사회적 긍정정서를 느낀 사람이 사회적 긍정정서를 느낀 사람에 비해 친화성이 높을수록 조망수용능력이 유의하게 높아지고 있음을 확인하였다. 반면, 긍정정서의 사회성 유무와 긍정적 대처간의 관계에서는 친화성의 조절효과가 없었다. 사회적 긍정정서와 비사회적 긍정정서간의 차이 및 원인에 대해 언급하고 본 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.

이야기는 사회인지능력을 향상시키는가? 작업기억과 관점채택 능력과의 관계 (Does Story Enhance Social Cognitive Ability? Associations between Working Memory and Perspective Taking Ability)

  • 이 연구는 작업기억과 사회인지능력 사이의 관계 및 이야기의 이용이 사회인지 능력에 미치는 영향을 탐구하고자 했다. 이를 위해 연구참여자 82명에 대해 작업기업(n-back)을 측정한 다음, 사회인지 부하로서의 지향성 수준(5차 지향성 대 3차 지향성)을 달리한 이야기 및 설명문 등 3개 집단에 무작위로 배치해 사회인지능력으로서 관점채택과 감정추론 정확성을 비교분석했다. 분석결과 관점채택은 작업기억과 유의한 정비례의 관계가 나타났다. 반면 감정추론은 작업기억과 유의한 관계가 나타나지 않았다. 실험집단별 차이는 연구가설과는 반대로 인지부하가 가장 높은 5차지향성 이야기집단의 관점채택이 인지부하가 낮은 3차지향성 이야기집단의 관점채택보다 유의하게 낮았다. 설명문 집단과는 2종의 이야기 집단 모두 유의한 차이가 없었다. 감정추론은 3개 집단 사이에 모두 유의한 차이가 없었다. 전체적으로 이 연구는 일관되지 않은 결과가 나타났는데, 이에 대한 이론 및 방법론적 의의에 대한 논의를 제시했다.

정서적 인지적 공감이 행복감에 미치는 영향: 인지적 재평가의 매개효과 (The Effect of Emotional and Cognitive Empathy on Happiness: The Mediating Role of Cognitive Reappraisal)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정서적 인지적 공감 요인으로서 공감적 관여와 조망수용이 행복감을 예측하는지를 확인하고, 그 과정에 인지적 정서조절 기제인 인지적 재평가가 매개하는지를 검증하는 데 있다. 336명의 대한민국 성인 남녀를 대상으로 공감적 관여, 조망수용, 인지적 재평가, 행복감을 포함한 설문을 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 공감적 관여와 조망수용은 모두 인지적 재평가, 행복감과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였고, 인지적 재평가 역시 행복감과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 또한 매개분석 결과, 인지적 재평가는 공감적 관여와 행복감 간의 관계는 물론 조망수용과 행복감 간의 관계 사이에서 유의한 수준으로 매개효과를 보였다. 구체적으로, 타인에게 정서적으로 공감하고 또한 인지적으로 이해하고 수용하는 사람들은 정서조절 장면에서 자신에게 처한 상황을 다시 바라보고 재평가하는 경향이 있어, 이는 궁극적으로 행복감으로 이어지는 것이다. 이 결과는 개인이 행복한 삶을 영위하기 위해 삶을 넓은 시각으로 보아야 하며 여기에 타인에 대한 공감이 기여하게 된다는 점을 보여준 결과라고 볼 수 있다. 끝으로, 본 연구의 시사점과 한계점이 함께 논의되었다.

자신과 타인이해 활동이 유아의 자아개념 조망수용 및 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향 (Effectiveness of the "Understanding Activities of Self and Others" Program in Improving Self-concept, Perspective-taking and Prosocial Behavior)

  • The purpose of the present study was to explore a model program to improve preschool children's self-concept, perspective-taking and prosocial behavior through "Understanding Activities of Self and Others." Sixty 5- to 6-year-old children were selected by random sampling from a Kindergarten located in Seoul. Thirty children were in the experimental group and 30 were in the control group. The 8-week intervention program used the instrument, "Understanding Activities of Self and Others," constructed by the present researchers. One-way ANOVA and MANOVA were used for data analysis. At the end of the 8-week period, significant differences were found between the experimental and control groups in self-concept, perspective-taking ability, and prosocial behavior. This indicates the effectiveness of the present study in improving children's affective, cognitive, and behavioral traits.
