<센과 치히로의 행방불명>에 나타난 캐릭터 성격구조의 이해 (A Study on the Personality Structure of Characters in the Spiriting Away of Sen and Chihiro)

  • 애니메이션 캐릭터의 성격구조는, 배역의 극중 역할과 행동유형이 관객과 공감각적 요소로 작용함으로써 드러나게 된다. 그러므로 캐릭터 창작은 단순히 외형에만 국한되는 것은 아니며, 플롯을 유도하는 성격구조의 중요성을 인식하는 것에서 출발해야 할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는, 개성 있는 캐릭터를 창작해 온 미야자키 하야오 감독의 <센과 치히로의 행방불명>을 중심으로, 캐릭터에 내재한 다양한 성격구조에 관하여 고찰했다. 그 방법으로 첫째, 애니메이션 캐릭터의 일반적인 특성에 대하여 정의했다. 둘째, 칼 G. 융의 심리학적 관점에 의한 성격의 유형에 대하여 알아보았다. 분석 과정은 성격의 다중성에 기초한 성격의 유형, 즉 '외향과 내향, 직관과 감각, 사고와 감정, 판단과 이해'의 분류 방식과 극중 역할의 유기적 관계에 기초한 '피해자, 학대자, 구원자'의 분류 방식을 연계하여 진행했다. 마지막으로, <센과 치히로의 행방불명>에 등장하는 캐릭터의 분석을 통하여 도출한 연구 관점을 적용했다. 본 연구는 캐릭터의 성격 유형과 유기적 관계에 의해 드러난 총체적 특성을 '캐릭터의 성격구조'로 정의하고, 데이터를 자료화하고자 했다. 또한, 관객과 공감하는 효과적인 애니메이션 캐릭터 창작의 예를 제시하는 것에 그 의의를 둔다.

사상체질과 에니어그램 성격유형에 따른 대학생의 비만 예측 (Prediction of Obesity by Sasang Constitutions and Enneagram in University Students)

  • Objectives Identification of individuals predisposed to obesity is an important issue for prevention and control of the obesity. It was reported that a high prevalence of obesity appeared in Taeumin among Sasang constitutions, but Enneagram personality-types has not been used to classify the patterns of obesity. These two classification methods were employed in combination in the current study, and it was analyzed whether the morbidity pattern of obesity can be characterized in further detail. Methods The subjects were 125 University students(62 males and 63 females) who answered both questionnaires for Sasang constitutions and Enneagram personality types. The obesity of students was classified by the obesity index and BMI. Results Only Taeumin group of Sasang constitutions was overweight, and the male of the group was overweight or obese. Analysis of the obesity index and BMI according to the Enneagram personality types showed significant differences(p<.05) between the types in the female group. These values were highest at the type 3 and lowest at the type 4. The physical indices according to both the centers of Enneagram and Sasang constitutions showed that only Taeumin female group had significant differences(p<.05) in the obesity index and BMI. Taeumin male group was overweight or obese in all centers of Enneagram and Taeumin female group was overweight or obese only in heart-center. Conclusions Diagnosis of the present data suggest that the classification of obesity patterns using Enneagram personality types in addition to Sasang constitutions is very useful to prevent and control the obesity.

조선복식미(朝鮮服飾美)의 탐구(探究) (A STUDY ON THE BEAUTY IN CHOSON COSTUME)

  • As an attempt to view Chason costume from a aesthetic perspective, the aesthetic values of the Choson people, as expressed through the aesthetic characteristics of costumes, are pursued in this study. To appreciate the beauty of the traditional Korean costume, the following aesthetic characteristics of Choson costumes are investigated: form, color, pattern, material and ornament. From the view point of aesthetics, this study shows that Choson costume had comfortable and voluminous forms with beautiful curved lines and rhythm. The most favored colors were white and natural colors of materials. However unusual combination of colors such as the contrast of black and white, the harmony of the primary and rainbow colors were often used. Patterns revealed two aspects : while subdued patterns generally prevail, at times the unexpected beauty of primary colored patterns draws our attention. Smooth natural materials were preferred. Ornaments both for practical and decorative purposes were used together with certain colors and patterens, indicating wearer's status and warding off the evil's spirits. The aesthetic values in costumes as expressed through the aesthetic characteristics can be classified into the following categories: the beauty of nature, the beauty of personality, the aesthetics of evil's eye and the beauty of tradition. The beauty of nature, as appreciated by the Chason people through their prevailing nature, the "Pung-rew Spirit" and through their Worship of Heaven, produced aesthetic characteristics in harmony with nature. The beauty of personality influenced by the ethical standard of Confucianism produced aesthetic characteristics in costumes, through which the appropriate personality was shown for the appropriate social status. On the other hand, the aesthetics of evil's eye, rooted deeply in Folk religion and Shamanism, contributed to various aesthetic characteristics, which strongly inclined to sorcery and symbolism through choice of patterns, colors and ornaments. Finally, the beauty of tradition, which was based on the ethics of Confucianism and the Choson people's conservative tendencies, demonstrated the strong tendency to adhere to the external characteristics of the Choson costume. These aesthetic values were the yardsticks of the aesthetic judgment of the Choson people. These values influenced Chason people in designing costumes and in appreciating the beauty of costumes. The aesthetic experience and attitudes of the Chason people, which were based on these aesthetic values, represented their aesthetic consciousness and desires.

티셔츠 문양의 커뮤니케이션 기능 및 이를 응용한 디자인 연구 (A Study on T-shirt Patterns as Communication and Its Design Application)

  • Clothing not only offers protection for the body and an aesthetic function but also accomplishes a communication role by delivering a message. And symbolic meanings of clothes deliver important information about the wearer. The T-shirt is one of the most popular items of clothing because of its simplicity and utility, In particular, T-shirt patterns, being simple forms, accomplish non-verbal communication directly by making possible the expression of an idea and showing the personality of the wearer. For these reasons, the T-shirt is becoming established as an Important item of clothing that shows one's personality and individuality in modern society. One purpose of this study is to confirm the communication function of fashion and understand that fashion plays an important symbolic role as a means of communication. Another purpose is to see how T-shirt patterns relate to human communication, through studying of widely accepted T-shirt in modern society. The final purpose is to develop a T-shirt design application based on this study and show how T-skirts contribute to expressing one's individuality and deliver ideas about society through clothing. The results of this study are as follows: 1. T-shirt patterns play a part in non-verbal communication. 2. T-shirt patterns have been variously expressed through conditions of society, culture and types of patterns, and formation techniques. 3. The communication function of T-shirt patterns have been classified to 5 categories; publicity, persuasion, solidarity, art, and fashion. 4 T-shirt design patterns were developed and produced. 5. T-shirt patterns could be useful ways to express individuality of oneself today.

사상체질에 따른 S-HTP 검사의 반응 특성에 대한 초보적 고찰 (A Brief Study of Response Patterns in the S-HTP Test Based on Sasang Constitution)

  • Objectives: Though Sasang Constitution denotes a temperamental personality, the differences in temperament affect pathological vulnerability. The purpose of this study is to establish the criteria based on differences in response patterns of S-HTP test according to the Sasang Constitution in the normal group. Methods: The S-HTP test was administered to 153 students who were tested with the Sasang Constitution Analysis Tool (SCAT). Excluding 10 students, only 143 students' data were was used in this study. The 143 students were classified into four groups by SCAT. The degree of psychology was determined by S-HTP test and the rating scale was developed by two specialists. These data were analyzed by ANOVA with IBM SPSS windows 22.0. Results: The S-HTP test showed significant differences in line and shape and the relationship between each picture, window of house, and the size and root of the tree with regard to the Sasang Constitution. Conclusions: Sasang Constitution showed no differences in S-HTP test, which is influenced by the acquired personality rather than innate personality.

The Effect of Personality on Psychological Responses Induced by Emotional Stimuli for Children

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between personality and psychological responses induced by emotional stimuli (happiness, sadness, anger, boring and stress) for children. Background: Many researches are interested in assertion that there is close correlation between personality and emotion. The relationship between personality and emotion needs to be studied in view of the extended integration, not in view of respective property, because personality is deeply ingrained, and the relatively enduring patterns of thought, feeling and behavior and emotion can take advantage of individual differences in sensitivities to situational cues and predispositions to emotional state. In particular, studies on the personality and emotion for children are necessary in that childhood is an important period for formation of their personality and emotion expression and regulation. Method: Prior to the experiment, we made parents of 94 children rate personalities of their children, based on Korean Personality Inventory for Children (K-PIC). Results of 64 children without missing answers to all questions were analyzed. 64 children were exposed to five emotional stimuli and were asked to report the classification and intensity of their experienced emotion. Results: Children were classified into two groups of the lower 25% and higher 25% scores in twenty sub-scales of K-PIC, and psychological responses to five emotional stimuli between two groups were compared. Accuracy of emotion experienced by emotional stimuli showed a significant difference between the two groups, the lower and higher scores in Hyperactivity and Adjustment. Also, there was a significant difference in the intensity of experienced emotions between the two groups in Intellectual Screening and Psychosis. Conclusion: Our result has shown that hyperactivity, adjustment, intellectual screening and psychosis influence the accuracy and intensity of emotional responses. Application: This study can offer a guideline to overcome methodological limitation of emotion studies for children and help researcher basically understand and recognize human emotion in HCI.

아동의 성별에 따른 성격특성과 자아존중감과의 관계 (Relationships between Children's Personality Traits and Self-Esteem in Terms of Children's Sex)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the relationship between children's personality traits and self-esteem, and to find out if there were any differences in the relationship patterns in terms of children's sex. The questionnaire were collected from 984 subjects in 5th grade of elementary schools located in cities of Seoul, Suwon, Daejeon, and Daegu. Results showed that personality factors such as stability, sociability, responsibility, and superiority had stronger correlations with self-esteem factors whereas masculinity, activity level, and reflectivity did so to a less degree. Children's personality factors such as superiority, sociability and responsibility were better predictors of their self-esteem factors such as scholastic competence, social acceptance and general self-worth. Girls showed higher level of stability, sociability, responsibility and superiority, however there was no sex difference in the self-esteem such as scholastic competence, social acceptance and general self-worth. Children's behavioral conduct were mainly explained by masculinity, activity level, and responsibility. Responsibility turned out to be the strongest predictor of behavioral conduct among boys, while the activity level did among girls.

사상체질과 한열의 관점에서 본 성격과 소증의 연관성 연구 (Study on the Relationship Between Personality and Ordinary Symptoms from the Viewpoint of Sasang Constitution and Cold-Hot)

  • In Traditional Korean Medicine it is one of basic principle that personality reflects physical conditions. In both of personality and ordinary symptoms, there are some criteria used for diagnosis whether the patient is in cold or hot condition. We studied the relationship between the criteria of cold-hot shown in personality pattern and ordinary symptom pattern. And also analyzed the relativeness in four constitution type. 877 patients who had visited oriental medical hospital and had been confirmed their constitution by drug response were included in this study. Patients filled out the questionnaire composed of personality and ordinary symptom questions. We selected questions related to cold-hot patterns. Next we made personality cold-hot index(PCHI) and ordinary symptom cold-hot index(OSCHI). The two indices were compared and analyzed totally and from the viewpoint of 4 constitution types. The coefficient of correlation between two indices was not high. In Soemin the coefficient was 0.257, in three other constitution it was lower than 0.200 or negative. In Soemin both indices were lower (cold-biased), but in three other constitution no significant results were found. In Tae-emin OSCHI was higher (hot-biased) than PCHI, in Tae-yangin PCHI was higher than OSCHI significantly. Personality is not affected by cold-hot less than expected. The criteria used for diagnosis of cold-hot seems to be biased on Soemin's.

캐주얼 의류 브랜드들의 브랜드 개성과 브랜드 선호도 간의 관계 - 국내 대학생들을 중심으로 - (The Relationship between Brand Personality and Brand Preference of Casual Apparel Brands - Focusing on the University Students in Korea -)

  • Brand personality is the human-like traits of brands that consumers can use to identify brands. Despite the importance of brand personality, there has been limited research about it in Korea recently, especially for casual apparel brands. Considering the changes in lifestyle and the increasing popularity of leasure activities in Korea, it is important to analyze the brand personality of casual brands for understanding Korean consumers. This study aimed to analyze the brand personalities of eight well-known casual brands in Korea, and to investigate the relationship between the brand personalities and brand preference. Specifically, this study questioned whether the similarity in brand personalities leads to similar patterns of preference for the brands. The eight brands were carefully selected so that they can well represent the diversity in the dimensions of perceived brand personality, while also being well-known to the participants of the survey. Factor analysis of the data from the survey of Korean university students yielded five factors of brand personality: liveliness, high class, ordinariness, rationality, and reliability. The eight brands showed significant difference across the five factors. Multidimensional scaling analyses of the brands were conducted based on the similarity in brand personality and brand preference respectively. The result showed significant difference in the relative distribution of the eight brands in the two-dimensional space of the analyses.

게임 내 이성 혐오 가해자와 피해자의 성격 패턴 분석 (Analysis of Korean Gamers' Personality Patterns with respect to the Victim/Attacker of the Misogyny and the Misandry in Game Playing)

  • 컴퓨터 게임 플레이 중에 발생하는 여성 혐오 현상도, 그에 대한 대응으로 발생하는 남성 혐오 행동도 여성 게이머의 증가와 함께 크게 중가하고 있다. 미국에서 벌어진 #Gamergate 사건이나 우리나라에서 벌어진 갓건배 사건 등은 이런 게임 내 성적 차별/혐오 행동이 직접적인 물리적 폭력의 위협으로 발전할 수 있음을 보여 준 위험한 사례이다. 이 논문에서 우리는 우리 청년 게이머들 중 그러한 성차별/혐오 행동의 가해자 군과 피해자 군, 그리고 일반 게이머군 사이에 어떤 차이가 있는지를 섹시즘 발현 척도를 통해 조사하고 분석하였다. 그 결과 성별로 유의한 섹시즘 차이가 존재하고 남성 그룹 중에도 세부 그룹들이 독특한 행동 패턴을 보이며 여성 가해자 그룹이 가장 높은 섹시즘 척도를 보이는 등 여러 가지 걱정스러운 현상을 감지하였다. 또한 Big-5 성격 요인 검사를 통해 이들 그룹 구성원들이 가진 성격 특성이 가해/피해 그룹 간에 차이가 있는지를 검사했는데 그 부분에서는 발생한 차이가 내재적 성격 특성인지 피해에 대한 상호작용의 결과인지는 분명하지 않았다. 결국 잘못된 성 고정관념이나 섹시즘 발현은 사회문화적 젠더 인식 교육이 청소년기에 적극적으로 이루어져야 개선될 것이라 생각한다.
