  • DGPS(Differential Global Positioning System) and RTK(RealTime Kinematic) is in one of today's most widely used surveying techniques. But It's use is restricted by the distance between reference station and rover station and it is difficult to process data in realtime by it's own orgnizational limitation in precise measurement of positioning. To meet these new demands, In This paper, new DGPS and RTK correction data services through Internet and PSTN(Public Switched Telephony Network) have been proposed. For this purpose, we implemented performance a DGPS and RTK error correction data transmission system for long-distance using the internet and PSTN network which allows a mobile user to increase the distance at which the rover receiver is located from the reference in realtime. and we analyzed and compared DGPS and RTK performance by experiments through the Internet and PSTN network with the distance and the time.

  • The need for energy harvesting in marine environments is gradually increasing owing to the energy limitation of marine robots. To address this problem, a catamaran-type sail drone (CSD), which can harvest marine energies such as wind and solar, was proposed in a previous study. However, it was designed and manufactured without considering the stability, optimal hull-form, and maintenance. To resolve these problems, a CSD with two keels, a performance estimator, V-shape hulls, and modularized components is proposed and its mechanism is developed in this study. To verify the performance of the CSD, the performance estimation using smoothed-particle hydrodynamics (SPH) and the heading control using fuzzy logic controller (FLC) are performed. Simulation results show the attitude stability of the CSD and the experimental results show the straight path of the CSD according to wind conditions. Therefore, the CSD has potential applications as an energy harvesting system.

  • Automation in construction has been restricted to special classes of tasks. Curtain walls can be handled like standard construction materials; they are heavy but breakable, and are large but require precise installation. These characteristics make the installation of curtain walls ideal for robotic automation. There are two methods for developing construction robots: The first is approving the robot performance and applying it to the current construction methods. The second is admitting the limitation of the current robot technology and trying to optimize the current method of construction to apply the robot system. In this study, we derived the performance requirements of a curtain wall-installation robot. We also tested this robot at a real construction site and evaluated its performance. Finally, the results were analyzed, and we proposed additional research.

  • In this paper, implementation of speech Recognizer system, Separated from Personal computer. By using DSP, this intends to extend the voice recognizing, limited into PC because of amount of data and calculations. For this performance The thesis uses the real time End point detector and organizes no additional device between human and the system, characteristic vector are that detects End point and voice from absolute energy and ZCR, that uses 12 difference Cepstrum from LPC, that uses the method to compensate the process of pattern separating and pre-calculated standard pattern limitation.

  • In rotating systems, backlash imposed limitations on the quality of control. System with gear is an example where this is a well-known limitation. In order to increase the controller performance, we design a fuzzy system to compensate the backlash effect. We prove that under certain conditions the fuzzy compensator guarantees that the backlash output converges to the desired trajectory. Simulation results show that the fuzzy compensator is robust to the backlash parameter.

  • We have developed a new device, Plate-to-CCD Convertor (PCC), to conveniently digitize photographic plates in a relatively short time without losing any plate information (Oh et al. 1995). Using this device we have performed surface photometry of 12 early type galaxies. We determined relative orientations and scales to analyze PCC images. We also determined an ellipticity, position angle of the major axis, and $a_4$ of each galaxy to quantify the distribution of surface brightness. We checked the performance and limitation of this device by comparing the PCC images with those digitized by the ST microdensitometer and those obtained with CCD observations.

  • The causal network represents the knowledge related to the dependency relationship between all attributes. If the causal network is available, the dependency relationship can be employed to estimate the missing values for improving the estimation performance. However, the previous method had a limitation in that it did not consider the bidirectional characteristic of the causal network. The proposed method considers the bidirectional characteristic by applying prior and posterior conditions, so that it outperforms the previous method.

  • Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) has been very popular in unattended surveillance systems recently. For Applying WSN into Building Automation system(BAS), a novel hierarchial network structure and static routing algorithm which eliminates the scalability limitation of Zigbee are proposed in this paper. The static routing algorithm relying on the hierarchial network address reduces the computational complexity to a great extent and has a real-time performance which satisfies urgent applications well.

  • In the paper, an optimal tuning algorithm is presented to automatically improve the performance of a hybrid controller, using the simplified reasoning method and the proposed complex method. The method estimates automatically the optimal values of the parameters of a hybrid controller, according to the change rate and limitation condition of output, The controller is applied to plants with time-delay. Then, computer simulations are conducted at step input and the performances are evaluated in the ITAE.

  • In many radio communication environments, there is a special component, called inter-symbol interference (ISI), mused by multipath time delay of signal and ISI components impose limitation of the data transmission rate. In this paper, we consider signaling pulse shapes, called partial response signaling (PRS), for minimizing the effect of ISI and show the improvement of performance by applying one of the partial-response signaling (PRS) pulses to two types of receiver system under dependent noise environments through the Monte-Carlo computer simulations.
