광 픽업 성능 평가기 캘리브레이션 (Calibration of an Optical Pick-up Performance Evaluator)

  • Optical pick-up is a core component for data read/write operations in optical disc drives, and an optical pick-up performance evaluator is an instrument used to analyze the overall performance of an optical pick-up. Due to inevitable errors in an analog measurement circuit, resultant evaluation data is not guaranteed to be accurate. In this paper, a calibration method for an optical pick-up performance evaluator is proposed to ensure evaluation accuracy. Measured data is corrected by a 1st order correction function, and a calibration process based on least-square method is utilized to obtain correction coefficients of the correction function. The proposed calibration method is applied to experiments, and enhanced accuracy is presented with resultant evaluation data.

A study on evaluator factors affecting physician-patient interaction scores in clinical performance examinations: a single medical school experience

  • Background: This study is an analysis of evaluator factors affecting physician-patient interaction (PPI) scores in clinical performance examination (CPX). The purpose of this study was to investigate possible ways to increase the reliability of the CPX evaluation. Methods: The six-item Yeungnam University Scale (YUS), four-item analytic global rating scale (AGRS), and one-item holistic rating scale (HRS) were used to evaluate student performance in PPI. A total of 72 fourth-year students from Yeungnam University College of Medicine in Korea participated in the evaluation with 32 faculty and 16 standardized patient (SP) raters. The study then examined the differences in scores between types of scale, raters (SP vs. faculty), faculty specialty, evaluation experience, and level of fatigue as time passes. Results: There were significant differences between faculty and SP scores in all three scales and a significant correlation among raters' scores. Scores given by raters on items related to their specialty were lower than those given by raters on items out of their specialty. On the YUS and AGRS, there were significant differences based on the faculty's evaluation experience; scores by raters who had three to ten previous evaluation experiences were lower than others' scores. There were also significant differences among SP raters on all scales. The correlation between the YUS and AGRS/HRS declined significantly according to the length of evaluation time. Conclusion: In CPX, PPI score reliability was found to be significantly affected by the evaluator factors as well as the type of scale.

Smalltalk 패러다임을 이용한 객체지향 시뮬레이션기반 전문가시스템 (Object-Oriented Simulation-Based Expert System Using a Smalltalk Paradigm)

  • Simulation-Based Expert System(SIMBES) is a very effective tool to solve complex antral hard problems. The SIMBES model includes a simulator, a feature extractor, a machine learning system, a performance evaluator, and a Knowledge-Based Expert System(KBES). Since SIMBES depends on Problem domains, a schedule-based material requirements planning problem, which is NP-hard, was selected to exemplify the SIMBES model. To implement the SIMBES application in Smalltalk paradigm, a system class hierarchy was constructed. The hierarchy consists of five large classes such as Job Generator, Job Scheduler, Job Evaluator, Inference Engine, and Executive System. Several classes inside these classes were identified. Additionally, instance protocols about all classes have been described in terms of messages and pseudo methods. These protocols can be implemented easily by any other object-oriented languages. Furthermore, these results may be used as a skeletal system to develop a new SIMBES efficiently, especially when the application is related to other scheduling problems.

  • 스마트 그리드는 기존 전력망에 IT 기술을 접목하여 에너지 효율을 최적화하는 차세대 지능형 전력망으로 미국, 유럽, 일본 등 전 세계적으로 기술개발이 이루어지고 있으며 실증사업을 추진하고 있다. 최근 스마트 그리드에 대한 공격 사례가 증가되고 있으며 개인정보의 사용 및 유출의 피해가 높아지고 있다. 전력망이 더욱 복잡해지고 상호 연결됨에 따라 보안 분석과 평가에 대한 노력이 점차 중요해지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 그리드의 핵심 기술인 AMI(Advanced Metering Infrastructure)의 공격과 공격에 대한 대응책을 ACT(Attack Countermeasure Tree)를 이용하여 모델링 하였다. 보안 분석은 확률이 있는 경우와 확률이 없는 경우로 나누어서 수행하였다. 이러한 모델을 가지고 SHARPE(Symbolic Hierarchical Automated Reliability and Performance Evaluator)로 구현하여 다양한 경우의 확률과 ROA, ROI, Structure Importance, Birnbaum Importance에 대해 계산하였다.

간호학생 임상실습 평가에 대한 수간호원의 태도조사 연구 (A Study on Head Nurses’Attitudes Toward Evaluation for Clinical Performance of Nursing Students)

  • Evaluation for students’performance is a very important and difficult responsibility of head nurses. This study was undertaken to investigate and identify head nurses’attitudes toward evaluation for clinical performance of nursing students. Data were gathered through questionnaire from eighty eight head nurses at three hospitals in Kwang Ju City and four hospitals in Seoul, during the period of April 9th-26th, 1978. The questionnaire developed by the researcher included 19 statements which concerned the attitudes of head nurses: their perception about objectives of evaluation for the students clinical performance, their attitudes toward responsibility as evaluator, their attitudes toward method of evaluation, their understanding and interest in nursing students. Mean attitude score more than 60% were classified as positive or favorable, and less than 60% to be negative or unfavorable. The result obtained could be summerized as follows: 1. The mean score of head nurses’attitudes was positive (67.9%). Hypothesis I was rejected, 2. Head nurses’perception about objectives on performance evaluation was very favorable (85.5%). 3. Head nurses’attitudes toward evaluating method were negative (50.9%), post-evaluation interview were perceived to be a part of evaluating process (73.9%), although only few (22.7%) implemented. 4. The head nurses’attitudes in the responsibility as a evaluator were unfavorable (58.2%). 5. Relatively favorable response was revealed in understanding and interest about nursing students (79.6%). 6. Educational level, duration of clinical experience, marital status, and geographical region of head nurses were no significant influence on the attitudes toward evaluation for clinical performance (P > 0.05), while only age revealed significant difference (P < 0.05) Hypothesis 2, 3, 5 and 6 were accepted, hypothesis 4 was rejected.

술기 수행 평가에서 평가자의 유형별 피드백이 간호대학생의 자가 평가의 정확성, 정서반응, 자기효능감, 인지하는 피드백의 질에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Examiner's Verbal Feedback on Nursing Students' Accuracy of Self-assessment, Emotional Response, Self-efficacy, and Perceived Quality of Feedback in Skill Performance Assessment)

  • Purpose: In this study, effects of positive, negative, and mixed verbal feedback were examined for accuracy of self-assessment, emotional responses, self-efficacy, and perceived quality of feedback in skill performance assessment. Methods: Participants were a convenience sample of 104 second-year nursing students who had completed their fundamentals of nursing class. Participants were assigned randomly to a positive, a negative or a mixed feedback group. All participants completed the performance measure and then received the assigned the type of feedback from an evaluator. After delivery of feedback, they assessed their own performance using the same sheet as the evaluator and completed the survey for emotional response, self-efficacy for learning, and quality of feedback. Results: There were no significant differences in accuracy of self-assessment and perceived quality of feedback among the three groups ($x^2=4.74$, p=.094; $x^2=3.30$, p=.192, respectively). The negative feedback group had significantly lower self-efficacy and positive emotions and more negative emotions than the other two groups (F=9.43, p=.009; $x^2=16.29$, p<.001; $x^2=5.69$, p=.005, respectively). Conclusion: Negative feedback can affect emotions and motivations for learning in nursing students and may interfere with the effectiveness of feedback, so instructors should pay more attention when providing negative feedback. Mixed feedback with an effect similar to positive feedback could be an alternative.

흐릿함 농도 평가기를 이용한 국부적 안개 제거 방법 (Local Dehazing Method using a Haziness Degree Evaluator)

  • 안개는 매우 작은 물방울이 대기 중에 떠돌아다니는 국지적인 기상현상으로 지역에 따라 안개 양과 특성이 다를 수도 있다. 특히 이러한 안개로 인해 가시거리가 줄어들어 항공 교통 방해와 차량 교통사고를 유발할 수 있으며, 보안용 CCTV 등 의 화질을 저하시킨다. 따라서 최근 10년간 안개로 인한 피해를 줄이기 위해 안개제거 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 안개가 없을 경우, 안개가 고르게 분포한 경우, 그리고 안개가 국지적으로 다른 경우에 적응적으로 대응할 수 있도록 흐릿함 농도 평가기를 이용한 가중치 생성을 통해 국부적인 안개 제거를 수행한다. 그리고 입력 영상에 안개가 있다고 가정하고 안개를 제거하는 기존의 정적인 방식의 안개제거 방법의 한계점을 개선시킨다. 또한 벤치마크 알고리즘과의 정량 및 정성적 성능 평가를 통해 제안하는 방법의 우수성을 증명한다.

Development of the Performance Analysis Model Based on Research and Development Phases for Automated Construction Equipment

  • The automated construction machines have been recently developed to help solve the construction industry problems that significantly affect labour, productivity, quality, and profit. Despite the importance of performance analysis to commercialize the automated construction machines, previous studies have mainly concentrated on developing hardware and software of automated construction machines. This research now focuses on two objectives: (1) to propose an analysis model which can measure productivity, quality, and safety improvement rate of automated construction machines based on research and development (R&D); and (2) to develop a performance analysis system which will aid the evaluator in analysing the performance of automated construction machines. Finally, it is anticipated that the effective use of the performance analysis model and computerized system will ably develop the high-performance, automated construction machines and establish the marketing strategy to increase not only the commercial value but also the upkeep and development of construction machines.

블라인드 품질 평가 방법을 사용한 주석필터 사용 유무에 따른 CT 영상 특성 비교 (Comparison of CT Image Performance with or without Tin Filter based on Blind Image Quality Evaluation Method)

  • 전산화단층촬영장치 (Computed tomography, CT)의 의료 방사선량을 낮추기 위한 방법으로 주석필터의 사용을 통해 직접적으로 환자의 선량을 낮추는 방법이 있다. 그러나 주석필터의 사용으로 바뀐 X선 스펙트럼으로 인해 기존의 영상과 다른 인상의 영상으로 나타나기 때문에 질병 진단에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 흉부 저선량 CT에서 주석필터의 적용 및 high pitch에 따른 영상평가를 진행함으로써 주석필터 사용 시 영상의 변화 양상을 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서는 비교를 위해 총 3개의 그룹으로 나누어 영상을 획득하였다. Group 1은 주석필터를 사용하지 않았으며, 기존에 사용하던 pitch인 0.8의 영상을 획득하였다. Group 2는 주석필터를 사용하였고, pitch는 0.8이며 Group 3은 주석필터를 사용하였으며 pitch는 2.5이다. 영상의 화질을 비교하기 위해 no-reference 기반으로 사용되는 블라인드 품질 평가 인자 중 natural image quality evaluator (NIQE)와 blind/referenceless image spatial quality evaluator (BRISQUE)를 사용하였다. 그 결과 NIQE 수치는 Group 1, Group 3, Group 2 의 순서대로 낮게 나타났다. BRISQUE 수치는 Group 3, Group 2, Group 1 의 순서대로 낮게 나타났다. 이를 통해 흉부 저선량 CT에서 주석필터 및 high pitch 기술의 영상의 우수성을 확인함으로써 특히 호흡 조절이 어려운 흉부 저선량 CT 환자에 있어서 더 정확한 영상에 대한 기대감을 가질 수 있는 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

천장제트기류에 대한 국내 정온식 열감지기의 작동온도 및 반응시간지수(RTI)에 관한 DB 구축 (DB Construction of Activation Temperature and Response Time Index for Domestic Fixed-temperature Heat Detectors in Ceiling Jet Flow)

  • 성능위주 소방설계(PBD)의 안전성 평가 과정에서 화재모델링의 신뢰성 확보를 위해서는 화재감지기 작동시간의 정확한 예측성능이 요구된다. 본 연구는 대표적 화재모델인 FDS에 적용되는 정온식 열감지기의 주요 입력인자인 감지기 작동온도와 RTI의 측정을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 화재감지기 실험 장치인 Fire detector evaluator (FDE)가 적용되었으며, 제품 인지도 조사를 통해 선정된 국내 10종의 정온식 감지기가 고려되었다. 결과적으로 감지기의 제조사별로 작동온도와 RTI는 상당한 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었으며, 측정된 DB가 적용된 FDS의 감지기 작동시간은 보다 정확한 예측이 가능함을 확인하였다. 최종적으로 신뢰성이 확보된 정온식 열감지기의 작동온도와 RTI의 DB가 제공되었다.
