  • The perceptual change and reproduction process of a space is distinguished from the difference between the Modem Times and the digitalized Post-modem Times. According to this changing aspect, the dwelling. concept is also progressed toward the escapeness from the regularly standardized settlement. But, as written above, the escapable dwelling behavior pattern is re-territorizated through new restriction and domination system. Among the newly re-territorized dwelling areas, the virtual space that included human being's equal in the contemporary meaning has already been on the surface in our daily life, it has been enlarging into all kinds of activity. The virtual space has the possibility to extend beyond a already well-used to physical space and time unlimitedly. But, owing to the ambiguous boundary between the real space and the virtual space, it is getting more important to define the spatial substance in the Digital Age. From now on, especially, the academical fields like a Architecture and a Interior Design that dealed with a living space have to give it a great shot. What I really want to say is that various approach about the space itself with the help of many sorts of so-called a Case Study could be a diversity & uniqueness out of a typical point of view about the study handling on space and time.

건강개념의 의미에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on Adult s Perception of Health Concept)

  • Health, a major concept in nursing, has not yet consistent or agreed upon definition. Although effective health care depends on clear communication between health care provider and client clear definition of health would enhance the promotion of quality in health care. There are no agreed definitions or criteria for overall health. An essentialstep would seem to be to determine commonly held meaning about the concept of health. Therefore, the study was aimed at identifying the Adult's perceptions of health concept. The subject's consisting of 312 adults, who were sampled through area sampling from May 10 to May 30,1988. The instruments used for this study were Health Conception Scale, which was developed by Smith, Laffrey's revised and tested its reliability. The data was Analyzed by S.P.S.S. program and the results were as follows ; 1. The results of the reliability test for content of health concept was $\alpha$=.87. 2. The respondents perception of Health Meaning were inclined to emphasize the functional / role performance dimension rather than clinical dimension. 3. The perceptual level of health concept was proved to be significantly different by the variable : age, sex, religion, area marital status. In conclusion, adult's perception of Health Concept is revealed that functional and role performance dimension is more important than other dimensions. Futher study is necessary to clarify the structure of functional, adaptive, eudaimonistic dimension and systematic study with subculture will be and repetitive verification and modification of this tool is demanded.

운율구 단위의 연속음 인식 (The Continuous Speech Recognition with Prosodic Phrase Unit)

  • 일반적으로 사람은 말을 할 때 어절들은 몇몇의 구로 그룹핑하여 발음함으로써 발화한다. 이것은 듣는 사람으로 하여금 발화의 의미와 의도를 잘 파악하도록 도와준다. 특히, 이러한 목적으로 발화자는 무의식적으로 운율정보(억양, 장단, 리듬 등)를 적절히 사용하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 발화된 문장에서 운율경계를 인식의 단위로 하는 음성인식방법에 대하여 제안한다. 즉, 발화된 문장을 운율구단위로 나누는 방법을 제안하고 나누어진 단위에 따라 연속음 인식실험을 수행하였다. 인식실험결과 연속음인식 시간의 감소를 관찰할 수 있었으며, 물론 음성인식률도 20-10%정도 증가하였다.

Digital Image의 미학적 해석 (A Study on the esthetic analysis for the Digital Image)

  • All kinds of artwork, including multimedia and digital image that has been subliminated into an af mediating two numbers 0 and 1 in recent age, are self-sufficient and autonomous in themselves. Nevertheless, each of those artworks can be realized as a real entity only if its appreciator is capable enough to explore some potential meaning out of it through his or her own perceptual work. According to Mikel Dufrenne, an artwork is composed of three existential tiers: "le sensible" or the sensible material; "fe representation" or the subject(le sujet), and "1′expression." Dufrenne contends that our esthetic perception can be realized by way of three steps that are comparable to those three tiers: perception of the presence of the body("le sensible"), contemplative perception by way of imagination("le representation"), and reflective perception ("1′expression") as a result of dialectics of sense and sensibility. This paper argues on the aesthetic perception with regard to digital image expressed by two numbers 0 and 1, putting focus on the epistemological role of sensibility(감) that explores "1′expression" a la Dufrenne.

  • The purpose of this paper is to address the theory of counting and the development of number concepts. Leslie Steffe and his colleagues developed the theory of children's counting types using the teaching experiment. As the results of their research, they published two books: "Children's counting types" (Steffe, von Glasersfeld, Richards, '||'&'||' Cobb, 1983) and "Construction of arithmetic meanings and strategies" (Steffe, Cobb, & von Glasersfeld, 1988). They classified children's counting types into five categories: Perceptual Counting Stage, Figural Counting Stages, Initial Number Sequence Stage, Tacitly Nested Number Sequence Stage, and Explicitly Nested Number Sequence Stage. The meaning of this theory is added in the last part of this paper. this paper.

An acoustic and perceptual investigation of the vowel length contrast in Korean

  • The goal of the current study is to investigate how the sound change is reflected in production or in perception, and what the effect of lexical frequency is on the loss of sound contrasts. Specifically, the current study examined whether the vowel length contrasts are retained in Korean speakers' productions, and whether Korean listeners can distinguish vowel length minimal pairs in their perception. Two production experiments and two perception experiments investigated this. For production tests, twelve Korean native speakers in their 20s and 40s completed a read-aloud task as well as a map-task. The results showed that, regardless of their age group, all Korean speakers produced vowel length contrasts with a small but significant differences in the read-aloud test. Interestingly, the difference between long and short vowels has disappeared in the map task, indicating that the speech mode affects producing vowel length contrasts. For perception tests, thirty-three Korean listeners completed a discrimination and a forced-choice identification test. The results showed that Korean listeners still have a perceptual sensitivity to distinguish lexical meaning of the vowel length minimal pair. We also found that the identification accuracy was affected by the word frequency, showing a higher identification accuracy in high- and mid- frequency words than low frequency words. Taken together, the current study demonstrated that the speech mode (read-aloud vs. spontaneous) affects the production of the sound undergoing a language change; and word frequency affects the sound change in speech perception.

유머효과의 시각적 적용과 그 가능성 (A Study on the Visual Application of Humor Effects and its possibilities)

  • The visual humor can be regarded as an original source for creative ideation. There are several types of humor. for example,'wit, satire, irony and so on. These can be motivations of developing an up-to-date idea. Wit differs from most humor in being purely intellectual, rather than relying on incongruities that come up naturally in many situations. The humor of words contains pun, hyperbole, repetition, and comparison or contrast. Especially in case of pun, it can be most important type of humor for making analytical and humorous effects visually. Pun, meaning the humor of double meaning, furnish us with much of our humor. The concept of pun is the most valuable for creating the visual humor by substituting, combining and manipulating symbols. There are essentially three distinct categories of puns : the literal pun, the suggestive pun, and the comparative pun. All types of puns belong to one of these three groups. The definitions are simple to understand and easy to apply for creating the visual humor, In order to develop a better conceptual model, (this researcher) reexamine the concept of humor, the relationship of humor to various types of message processing, and the relationship of humor to various aspects of message. This thesis. is primarily concerned with basic theories of humor such as concepts of humor, types of humor and analysis of humor. And this contains the research of humor's communications effects and theory of humor response with literature reviews. Modem theories of humor response generally fall into three major schools : Incongruity theories, Superiority theories and Arousal (Relief theories. Together these three approaches address the cognitive-perceptual, affective-evaluative and psycho-dynamic dimensions of a subject's humor response. The literature research of humor and humor response theory in communications and visual communications can help the visual application of humor concepts and usefulness of visual humor appeals. This research agreed that the humor and visual humor must be very effective at being as a means for the advertising expression, not for the purpose itself. In addition, this research is aimed at studying significations and usefulness of visual humor through semiotic approaches in the near future. Then it can be essencial research for the appropriate situational uses of humor related to media, product, and audience factors, such as nationality, age, standard of living, sexuality, and so on.

내러티브 공간에 의한 이북(e-book)의 시각화 유형 (The Type of e-book's Visualization by the Narrative Space)

  • 본 연구는 이북(e-book)의 내러티브 시각화 연구를 독자적인 영역으로 구축하여 발전시키기 위한 연출분류를 제안하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전 세계적으로 작품성과 흥행성을 인정받은 디즈니 애니메이션의 이북을 분석 대상으로 연구하였다. 먼저 이론적 고찰을 통해 이북의 영상 공간 구조와 관점적 지각원리를 파악하였다. 다음으로 운동을 일으키는 주체를 찾고, 운동 단서에 의해 현존감 높은 공간 경험을 가능하게 하는 연출 요소들을 관찰하였다. 분석 과정에서 등장 요소와 매체, 카메라와 독자의 운동단서를 13개로 분류하고 코드로 정의하였다. 이를 기준으로 분석 대상의 사용 빈도를 분석하여 46개의 결합 운동으로 분류하고 4가지 그룹으로 정의하였다. 이를 실제 공간 경험, 내러티브 공간 경험, 캐릭터성 경험으로 분류하여 운동 단서의 특징을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 이북의 내러티브 시각화 유형 분류하여, 이북을 영상언어로 확장할 수 있는 체계를 마련한 기조 연구로써 의미가 있다.

  • According to Mead's (1934) symbolic interaction theory, social roles are learned through interaction and experiences in everyday life. Over time, these rules of behavior become internalized and serve to structure one's actions accordingly. Ultimately, these rules provide us with a powerful means of controlling our actions, and in time, they define our identity. Transforming the socialization process is one's conscious interpretation of stimuli through the use of symbols. Furthermore, society's perceptual processes can be shaped by the symbols we learn. The meaning of symbols can be learned from a variety of social influences, one of which may be mediated messages and advertising. This paper attempts to establish a link between media exposure and one's perception of social reality regarding character judgments made of unknown others based on the target's product or brand usage. Using magazine advertisements for fictitious products, the experiment herein seeks to establish two fundamental goals: 1) to determine if perceptions can be manipulated via association with companion symbolic elements: and 2) to detect whether television exposure is a moderating factor. Respondents were asked their perceptions of both product quality and of product users.

컨설턴트의 주도성과 배려가 신뢰와 혁신성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Consultant Proactive Personality and Benevolence on Trust & Innovative Performance)

  • 본 연구는 컨설턴트의 주도성과 배려가 신뢰유형에 따라 혁신성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 컨설턴트의 주도성이 인지기반 신뢰에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 컨설턴트의 배려 또한 정서기반 신뢰에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인지된 신뢰는 혁신성과에도 긍정적인 관계를 보여주고 있어, 컨설팅 서비스에서 신뢰의 매개역할을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 신뢰의 형성요인을 컨설팅 수행과정에서 감성 요인을 신뢰형성의 주요 변인으로 추가하여 실증분석함으로서 정시기반 신뢰의 효과를 살펴보았다는데 그 의의가 있다.
