Four research hypothesis are established for the purpose of this study. The subject of this study were 473 employees who were working at 10 general hospitals in Korea. The survey was done with structured questionnaire from January 3 to February 8, 2013. The results of stepwise regression analysis show that hospital employees' communication satisfaction positively affected organizational effectiveness. Interaction effects between employees' communication satisfaction and work types had stronger effect on organizational growth than organizational stability. It can be pointed out as an important issue that communication satisfaction score of medical support occupation is the lowest level(3.11 points out of 5 points). If hospitals want an integration of organization, it is required to develop method or skill to increase communication satisfaction among employees.

To determine the effect of the program, the data were analyzed by the SAS 6.12 Program with t-test and mean, standard deviation. The results of this study were as follows: 1 In experimental group, time spent for oral medication was significantly shorter than in control group(t=5.24. p=0.0001). Therefore, the hypothesis of this study was strongly accepted. 2. Nurses perceived this program as an effective one(mean=3.125~3.792). The effectiveness occurred before. during and after medication as well as in parental responses, especially in using verbal dissatisfaction after medication. In conclusion. it was found that the token economy program for admitted children was effective in inducing the children's behavior of oral medication. There was no effectiveness in very highly anxious children Whereas, it is recommended that this program should not be used for such children until they settle down. • Music functions as a catalyst for various emotional experiences. Among the numerous genres of music, film music has been reported to induce strong emotional responses. However, the effectiveness of film music in evoking different types of emotions and its relationship in terms of which musical elements contribute to listeners' perception of intended emotion have been rarely investigated. The purpose of this study was to examine the congruence between the intended emotion and the perceived emotion of listeners in film music listening and to identify musical characteristics of film music that correspond with specific types of emotion. Additionally, the study aimed to investigate possible relationships between participants' identification responses and personal musical experience. A total of 147 college students listened to twelve 15-second music excerpts and identified the perceived emotion during music listening. The results showed a high degree of congruence between the intended emotion in film music and the participants' perceived emotion. Existence of tonality and modality were found to play an important role in listeners' perception of intended emotion. The findings suggest that identification of perceived emotion in film music excerpts was congruent regardless of individual differences. Specific music components that led to high congruence are further discussed.

  • This study aimed to examine the effects of transformational leadership on employees' trust, perceived support from superiors, organizational citizenship behavior, and moderating effects of locus of control. Using the Amos program, this study tested reliability and fitness of the research model and verified five hypotheses based on empirical data from 233 employee samples in coffee shops. The result of this study shows that positive consideration and charisma of transformational leadership positively influenced employees' level of trust toward superiors and perceived support from superiors. Trust had positive effects on promotion of organizational citizenship behavior of employees. Lastly, analysis of the moderating effect of locus of control showed that a lower level of extrinsic control and higher level of intrinsic control were both positively correlated with greater receptiveness to transformational leadership. The findings in this study identified several significant factors of employee effectiveness influenced by transformational leadership in the coffee shop industry. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

  • Diffusion of e-learning has been accelerated according as the convenience and effectiveness have been increased rapidly due to the advancement of information technology. However, there has been few studies on systematic evaluation of its performance. SERVQUAL model was applied to evaluate the service quality of a 100% on-line lecture opened in a major Korean university. Two classes, one for 71 undergraduate students, the other for 79 graduate students, were opened for the lecture. The gaps between the expected service and the perceived service scores were compared with respect to sex, age, and e-learning experience. Although the gap score of male and female students were not different significantly, the gap scores among the other comparative groups were different. The perceived score of the older group with more than thirty ages was lower than that of the younger group. It seems that the older group evaluated the score based on the practical use of the subject since they are part-time students with jobs. Also, the perceived score of the group with previous e-learning experience was higher than that of the group with no e-learning experience. It seems that the experienced group evaluated it compared with the previous e-learning satisfaction. As it might be expected, the groups with higher perceived scores had stronger intention to recommend the e-learning lecture to other students.

  • This study was motivated to understand ways in which actors (students) perceived internal and external conditions of actions in determining responsibility of so-called environment friendly actions. To understand hidden reasons by which students conduct specific environmental actions more or less frequently may be more important and meaningful for environment teachers than to measure and know the frequency that their students do such actions. This study has been implemented by applying questionnaire survey to 752 ruddle school and high school students and 211 environment teachers. To test the hypothesis of this study that there would be significant differences in awareness of environment friendly actions and barriers to implementing those actions between students and environment teachers, frequency analysis and f-test have been conducted. Primary results of this study can be summarized as follows; It has been found that there were a number of evidences showing significant differences in awareness of environment friendly behavior between students and teachers. In term of action frequency, significant differences have been observed in 11 of the listed 20 actions. Similar resulted have been found in terms of perceived difficult, perceived effectiveness, and perceived guilty. These results seem to support an argument that the current list-making and checklist style of connecting students to so-called environment friendly actions need to be reviewed in a critical manner.

  • Purpose: This study applied the Korean Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (K-MBSR) program for mothers of children and adolescents with mental illnesses, and verified its effectiveness on perceived stress and depression based on the Middle-range theory of caregiver stress. Methods: A quasi-experimental, non-equivalent control group pre-post test design was used. The K-MBSR program was reconstructed with experts' advice to adjust subjects' characters. Using a group approach, sessions were conducted once a week for six weeks, and each session took 2.5 hours. Results: The experimental group did not show a significant decrease in perceived stress than the control group. However, the experimental group showed a significant decrease in depression than the control group. Conclusion: The K-MBSR program was effective for depression. Future studies on high-stress groups or with an extended program are necessary to clarify the effects of the K-MBSR program on perceived stress. These results are consistent with the middle-range theory of caregiver stress, the theoretical framework of this study. When caregivers have similar inputs, proper intervention can change the control process. Further, it can be assumed that this change positively affects the output.
