A Study on Promoting Senior Citizens' Use of e-Government Services as an Effective Means for Reducing Digital Divide (정보격차 해소 차원에서의 전자정부 서비스 이용촉진 연구 : 장노년층 사례를 중심으로)

  • E-government refers to the delivery of government information and services online through the Internet or other digital means. Unlike traditional structures, e-government systems are two-way, and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The interactive aspects of e-government allow both citizens and bureaucrats to send and receive information. Criticism about the provision of e-Government services, however, has proposed a more user-oriented approach. The user needs to be placed at the center of the development and the provision of e-Government services. Furthermore, e-government literatures seldom explore acceptance issues among the aged. Attempting to address this gap, we take the approach based on a combination of Technology Acceptance Model and Theory of Planned Behavior, with data gathered via a questionnaire from service users over 50 years and older. The findings indicate that perceived usefulness, ease of use, subjective norms, trust, visibility, facilitating conditions and political efficacy are direct or indirect predictors of citizens‘ intention to use an e-government service. Implications of this study for research and practice are presented.

Research on Factors Influencing Consumers' Willingness to Use Community Group Buying Platform

  • Purpose: The study aims to identify the key factors that influence consumers' propensity to utilize community group buying platforms, employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework. Research design, data and methodology: The research design involved selecting 192 consumers with experience in community group buying and analyzing the data statistically using SPSS 23.0. Hypotheses were tested utilizing the structural equation modeling software AMOS. Results: Key findings indicate that the attributes of products offered on community group buying platforms significantly enhance consumers' perceptions of usefulness and ease of use. Furthermore, these perceptions directly correlate with consumers' intentionsto use the platform. Conclusions: Thisresearch, grounded in the TAM, delves into how external factors of the community group buying platform impact perceived usefulness and ease of use, and subsequently, how these perceptions affect consumers' purchasing intentions. Based on these insights, several recommendations can be proposed for the platform's development: The platform should strive to enhance product quality and cultivate a positive reputation. Strategic promotional initiatives should be designed to attract new users while retaining existing customers. Continuous optimization of platform functionalities is necessary to augment users' perception of usefulness. These measures are anticipated to foster user engagement, increase adoption rates, and contribute to the overall success and sustainability of the community group buying platform.

  • The current study investigates factors affecting intent to use of T-Commerce in enhanced TV programs. from the perspective of e-commerce users who have experienced terrestrial data broadcasting services. The research model hypothesizes the relationship among independent variables such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and the dependent variable, intent to use of T-Commerce. In addition, the moderating effect of user innovativeness is also analyzed. The results reveal the significant and positive relationship between perceived usefulness of e-commerce and intent to use of T-Commerce. Besides, the moderating role of user innovativeness is confined to the effect of the perceived usefulness on intent of use of T-Commerce. The findings of this study provide an implication that customer attracting strategies for potential T-Commerce users have to be differentiated based on the status in the T-Commerce development process.

  • Recently, owing to the rapid development of Internet and information technology in China, the growth of consumers' purchasing activities in the Internet Shopping Mall has been truly phenomenal. Thus, it is considered essential to understand what affects Chinese consumer's intention to purchase in the Internet Shopping Mall. Based on prior studies, trust is thought as a key factor affecting on Chinese consumers' purchasing intention. Hence, the purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of Chinese consumer's trust on purchasing intention of Internet Shopping Mall. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, a research model has been established and it suggests that there are significant relationships between trust and purchasing intention, e-commerce knowledge and trust, perceived reputation and trust, perceived risk and trust, perceived ease of use and purchasing intention. The results of the study show that the relationships between these variables are all significant. This research confirms the important effect of Chinese consumer's trust on purchasing intention. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify which factors are important for learning performance and the moderating effects of self-regulated factors such as elaboration and organization between users characteristic(perceived usefulness, preparatory education, internet experience) and learning performance. To Accomplish these research purpose, this study performed a survey and 173 response were used for statistical analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, 7 factors(ease of use, interactivity, accuracy, media richness, perceived usefulness, preparatory education, internet experience) had significant impacts on learning performance whereas reliability did not. Second, the moderating effects of self-regulated factors showed that Elaboration of self-regulated factors can be considered as a significant moderating variable between 2 factors(perceived usefulness, internet experience) and teaming performance.

  • A study on the influence of technology acceptance model to marketing performance and based on an expanded characteristics of smart phone. the result of this study are flows: 1) Perceived usefulness of smart phone are related to word-of-mouth intention and repurchase intention. 2) Social influence are related to word-of-mouth intention but repurchase intention are not related to repurchase intention.

  • Technology adoption for information appliance, which is expected to grow rapidly in the near future, is different from other technologies in that it is mainly used in the home environment when the customers haven't experienced it before. This paper finds important variables from prior research about technology adoption and develops a measurement model that fits for the information appliance. Pretest and pilot studies for the model is conducted in order to guarantee content validity, reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity. Finally, LISREL analysis is used for finding out the causality among variables and testing for model fitness. The results indicate that three factors that influence behavioral intention are attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control. Attitude is influenced by attitudinal belief, which consists of perceived usefulness, trialability, result demonstrability, image and enjoyment. Perceived behavioral control is influenced by control belief that consists of rapid change in technology, cost and ease of use. This paper ends with implications and limitations of study results.

  • This study focused on smartphone adoption of foreign students who are studying in Korea in digital media era. Smartphone is not only new media but also social media. Based on former research, factor for smartphone adoption of foreign students will be analyzed. Based on TAM theory technological attribute, individual attribute and social attribute were taken out as independent variables. Perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are applied as mediator variables. In conclusion, some hypotheses for example service quality and individual attribute are rejected as variables which influence positively to mediator variable perceived easy of use. For the next research more various variables and nationwide sampling will be needed.

  • This study attempted to identify the effect of personal innovation, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on the intention to use for users of OTT service platform Netflix, and finally affects flow and addiction. According to the research results, personal innovation has a positive impact on compatibility, simplicity and perceived usefulness, simplicity and perceived usefulness have a positive effect on use intention, compatibility and use intention have a positive effect on flow, and flow has a positive effect on addiction. This study is meaningful in that it can improve the understanding of user intention based on Netflix's new subscription standard and provide basic data that can be used for basic research on OTT service users' flow and addiction and development strategies of OTT content providers.

Determinants of Intention to Borrow Consumer Credit in Vietnam: Application and Extension of Technology Acceptance Model

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the determinants of intention to borrow consumer credit of Vietnamese people by applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and extending it with several variables, including anxiety, perceived trust, and perceived financial costs extracted and adapted from the existing literature. A questionnaire survey was administered in the big cities of Vietnam to a total of 602 consumers. Structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques have been employed to investigate the relationship among intention determinants to borrow. Findings show that perceived usefulness mediates the impact of subjective norms on the intention to borrow consumer credit. At the same time, subjective norms also directly influence the intention to borrow. Notably, anxiety, perceived trust, perceived financial cost, perceived ease of use have no significant influence on intention to borrow. Meanwhile, education level is confirmed to have a moderate influence on intention to borrow consumer credit of Vietnamese people. However, there is not enough statistical evidence about the influence of gender and marital status on the intention to borrow consumer credit in Vietnam. Based on the findings of the Vietnamese consumer credit market, we proposed some suggestions to promote the growth of the market in the future.
