As the aged and physically disabled people are expected to increase in the next several years, traffic demand especially for the 'mobility handicapped people' will be stronger. According to this trend, our society needs the improvement of social overhead capital for the aged and the disabled. First of all, Barrier-free of public transport facilities is urgent case. The purpose of this study is to estimate value of the Barrier-free facilities at subway stations by using Contingent Valuation Method(CVM) with Double Bounded Dichotomous Choice Question and to analyze the factor which affects the WTP(Willingness To Pay) of subway users by using Survival Analysis. As a result of this study, 'Elevators' and 'Escalators' are higher than 'Handicapped Gate Machines' and 'Ramps for Wheelchair' in the aspect of the average willingness to pay. Therefore the government is recommended to install the Barrier-free facilities for going up and down such as 'Elevators' and 'Escalators', and then supply others for just using subway, and passing such as 'Handicapped Gate Machines' and 'Ramps for Wheelchair'. Also, the average willingness to pay of 'mobility handicapped people' is higher than that of 'normal people'. It indicates that 'mobility handicapped people' value each Barrier-free facility high compared to 'normal people'.
With the changing consciousness of consumers, there has been an increasing interest in nature-friendly lifestyles and safety of food ingredients. Therefore, the LOHAS image, which has value in social health and sustainability, is expected to be a factor that helps restaurants establish differentiation strategies. This study examined the LOHAS image of restaurants on involvement and willingness to pay. The results were as follows. First, eco-friendly food ingredients and interiors among the LOHAS image factors of restaurants had a significant effect on involvement. Second, the perception of LOHAS in the LOHAS image factors of restaurants had a significant effect on involvement. These results may be due to the lack of a conceptual understanding of LOHAS among restaurant customers, who fail to properly grasp its meaning. Therefore, in order to promote the LOHAS image of restaurants to customers, it is necessary to consider presenting POPs or signs that will enable customers to understand the concept of LOHAS inside the restaurant. Third, consumers' involvement turned out to have a significant effect on their willingness to pay. Thus, it is necessary to imprint the image of a LOHAS restaurant using eco-friendly colors, sculptures, and agricultural products so that customers can perceive food ingredients or interior elements as eco-friendly.

To detail a picture of the economic value of Miscanthus landscape conservation in terms of cultural services aspects of Ecosystem Services, Sunghaksan(Mt.), Hwawangsan(Mt.) and Jaeyaksan(Mt.), which are known for their Miscanthus colonies, were chosen as survey sites. After examining the willingness to pay for the value of Miscanthus landscape conservation by targeting of visitors each study area, the economic value of Miscanthus landscape conservation per capita aspects was evaluated using Contingent Valuation Methods(CVM) from the collected willingness to pay for economic value of Miscanthus scenery by site. After using the target Chi-square test to analyze the differences among each site, the correlation between specific variables was investigated. Willingness to pay for the Miscanthus landscape conservation was found to increase as the respondents' income became higher. The more environmental conservation efforts were being made in their daily life, the higher willingness to pay was for Miscanthus landscape conservation. Likewise in other studies, the higher the bid was, the less willingness to pay was. The per capita assessment of the Miscanthus landscape value of the logit models in the dual estimated using the factor extracted with each of the injected variable bounds was estimated for Seunghaksan (\38,277), Hwawangsan(\38,648), and Jaeyaksan(\48,891). The average of the three sites was estimated to be \38,679. Assessment of the economic value of these Miscanthus landscape sites saw high willingness to pay by visitors when compared to the current market price inflation, such as watching movies or amusement park admission, which could mean that visitors recognize the value of ecosystem services from nature in evaluating the Miscanthus landscape.

This study targets the urban park corresponding to the core areas (Hubs) of Green Infrastructure and estimates their value utilizing the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and determines the planning factors which affect them. The research aims to provide basic data for supporting the value improvement in the planning stage for urban parks representing green infrastructure. The primary purpose of this research is to derive variables that affect economic value and planning factors to improve the use-value of urban parks, one of the Hubs of the green infrastructure. In this study, Sejong Lake Park, located in Sejong City, is the target site. This study collected the responses of 105 people by conducting a survey on the intention to pay for the use-value and the planning factors that affect it, targeting visitors to Sejong Lake Park. The study conducts Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) on this survey responses. The results are as follows: first, as a result of analyzing the variables which affect willingness to pay for use-value, residence and age influence the willingness to pay significantly among socioeconomic characteristics. Next, the survey responses of Double-bounded dichotomous choices (DB-DC) CVM are converted into variables through statistic techniques. Furthermore, the variables are used for a Logit model to draw coefficients. The average willingness to pay per person for the use-value of Sejong Lake Park using the derived coefficients was approximately found to be 8,597 won. Therefore, as of 2019, Sejong Lake Park, with a total of 430,000 visitors, is estimated to have an annual economic value of 3.7 billion won. Third, the average Likert scale of the planning factor affecting the decision to pay for the economic value of Sejong Lake Park was the highest along the waterfront landscape, and the convenience facilities and waterfront landscape showed the highest willingness to pay, 10,000 won. In the range between 2,500 won and 5,000 won, the waterfront area ranks highest. Therefore, it can be said that visitors to Sejong Lake Park take account of the economic value of using the waterfront landscape the most. This study is meaningful as a thesis on use-value and the planning factors that affected value evaluation results of urban parks, and the analysis of the correlation between the planning factors of urban parks as hubs located in urban areas.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with the mental health-related quality of life (MHQoL) of Korean workers. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study of 192 Korean pay workers who worked in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province, Korea. Data were collected from May 15 to July 2, 2019, through selfreported questionnaires. The survey had a total of 87 questions including individual, organizational, and psychosocial factors. MHQoL was measured using short form-36 version 1. Data were divided into four domains of MHQoL and analyzed using a hierarchical linear regression model. Results: From the hierarchical linear regression analysis, when the psychosocial factors were included in the regression model, the R2 change in the four domains of MHQoL increased significantly by 19~47%. A common predicting factor associated with the four domains of MHQoL was identified as perceived stress symptoms. Other factors affecting MHQoL showed slight differences in each domain. Conclusion: Based on the study results, it is necessary to monitor the psychosocial symptoms to improve MHQoL of Korean workers. Considering each factor affecting the four areas of MHQoL, workplace-based interventions to improve MHQoL should be provided to workers.
This study analyzed the buying patterns of American and Korean female college students in terms of criteria for clothing selection; store preferences; criteria for store selection; fashion information sources; expressions of customer dissatisfaction; purchasing frequency and motivations for purchasing clothes. The study was implemented through self-administered questionnaires which were back translated for validity. The samples consisted of 730 female college students majoring in the fields related to clothing and textiles: 310 U.S. and 412 Korean students. Likert scales were used for most measures with 1=never or very unimportant and 5=always or very important. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, analysis of covariance, Duncans multiple comparison, and t-test. Results are as follows: 1) Design factor was the most important criteria in clothing selection with no differences between country groups. There were, however, significant differences for psychological exhibition factors, practical and economic factors. 2) Both groups preferred specialty and department stores, with department stores more popular in Korea. 3) Merchandise was the most important store selection criterion and fashion magazines and self-experience were rated as the most important information sources for the both groups. 4) Korean group expressed their dissatisfaction with and observable problem with a product before purchase more often than U.S. group, but the U.S. group was more vocal about color loss or shrinkage after care procedures. 5) Some clear differences between the two countries emerged. Marketers targeting American consumers should pay more attention to practicality and service; to Korean consumers more symbolic meaning of products.
In Korea's drama industry, a production factor has several prices, not one, bucking the general economic theory. The price changes depending upon the broadcaster, the producer, and even the genre. The price gets determined by such factors as the scarcity, the substitutability, the overall budget size, and so on. For star actors, the price stands for their popularity and ego, which makes them strive so desperately for a higher pay than competitors. The rise of the production factor price has outpaced that of the production budget, to cause undesirable structural problems. It is deemed that the running guarantee could be a way to rationalize the pricing system for production factors in Korea.
Many organizations have paid less attention to knowledge withholding intention (KWI) rather than knowledge sharing. KWI is the likelihood that employees will give less than their full effort to contributing knowledge. KWI can be affected by employee's knowledge psychological ownership (KPO), cultural level (Individualism/collectivism: I/C), and altruism for organizational benefits. Also I/C is an important motivational factor that affects KPO and KWI closely. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between employee's KPO and KWI in the perspective of employee's motivational factors (I/C, altruism for organizational benefits). The results of analysis show that employee's KPO and collectivism are driving forces leading to KWI and that individualism is the significant influential factor of employee's KPO. For theoretical and practical contributions, the research presents the grounds for arguments that KPO and I/C are employee's psychological motivation for individual KWI and organizations trying to pay attention to employee's KPO and individualism need to decrease employee's KWI under individual, leader, and organizational dimensions. Limitations arisen in the course of the research and suggestions for future research directions are also discussed.
This study is intended to be used as basic data to understand the role of a food coordinator who creates an environment for eating and to develop menus by studying the expectations of female customers about the food coordinator's role. The reported concepts of the role of a food coordinator were divided into six factors-food(Eigen value 3,181), seat, cutlery, atmosphere, convenience, and sanitation. According to an analysis of the expected factors concerning the role of a food coordinator in terms of the amount paid, when women visited any restaurant once, the factors of "food" and "atmosphere" showed a significant difference(p<0.05) while the other factors did not. According to an analysis of the recognition of a food coordinator in terms of the number of visits, the questions concerning recognition of the job of "food coordination," the necessity of the role and the expectations of the role showed a significant difference (p<0.05). The question on willingness to pay, in relation to the role of a food coordinator, showed a negative response about the direct payment of guests regardless of the number of restaurant visits.
The purpose of this study was primarily to examine various variables influencing consumer purchasing behavior on perceived product quality, value toward product including brand loyalty, price, consumer's willingness to pay for the product, and their expenditure patterns in Korean apparel market. Factor analysis was used to evaluate the credibility of dependent variables, and T-test was used to compare the effect of brand label, country of origin, brand effect between Korean and U.S, and jacket price and quality on consumer characteristics. Discriminated analysis was used to find the effective variables influencing the two reference group differences when they evaluated Korean and U.S. labeled and non-labeled apparel products. Multiple Regression analysis was used to examine the effects of consumer characteristics on perceived quality, perceived value, perceived price, and their willingness to buy. The results of this study also provides useful information of consumer purchasing behavior on U.S. branded apparel which may or already launched the Korean fashion merchandizing market.
