Smart Control System Using Fuzzy and Neural Network Prediction System

  • In this paper, a prediction system is proposed to control the brightness of smart street lamps by predicting the moving path through the reduction of consumption power and information of pedestrian's past moving direction while meeting the function of existing smart street lamps. The brightness of smart street lamps is adjusted by utilizing the walk tracking vector and soft hand-off characteristics obtained through the motion sensing sensor of smart street lamps. In addition, the motion vector is used to analyze and predict the pedestrian path, and the GPU is used for high-speed computation. Pedestrians were detected using adaptive Gaussian mixing, weighted difference imaging, and motion vectors, and motions of pedestrians were analyzed using the extracted motion vectors. The preprocessing process using linear interpolation is performed to improve the performance of the proposed prediction system. Fuzzy prediction system and neural network prediction system are designed in parallel to improve efficiency and rough set is used for error correction.

Redundancy Minimizing Techniques for Robust Transmission in Wireless Networks

  • In this paper, we consider a wireless multiple path network in which a transmitting node would like to send a message to the receiving node with a certain probability of success. These two nodes are separated by N erasure paths, and we devise two algorithms to determine minimum redundancy and optimal symbol allocation for this setup. We discuss the case with N = 3 and then extend the case to an arbitrary number of paths. One of the algorithms minimum redundancy algorithm in exponential time is shown to be optimal in several cases, but has exponential running time. The other algorithm, minimum redundancy algorithm in polynomial time, is sub-optimal but has polynomial worstcase running time. These algorithms are based off the theory of maximum-distance separable codes. We apply the MRAET algorithm on maximum-distance separable, Luby transform, and Raptor codes and compare their performance.

  • Free-form surfaces arise in shipbuilding, automotive and aerospace industries. Specially compound free-form surfaces so do. Machining complicated products consist of compound surface, it is very important to avold and remove tool interferences. By the way, in compound surfaces the tool interference can occur not only in the tool path direction but also in the other direction. A new tool interference detection and correction using tool interference conditions is suggested to identify and correct the tool interference in compound surfaces.

  • Contents of these treatise propose method to embody station addition and passivity point correction. That store in TCMS's memory being downloaded all train running path data that is consisted of name of station and station code, departure station, destination station, train number, running time through PCMCIA memory card. Search relevant running path data and current station, destination station, the next station start time present to TCMS's display. In case it is no received information of station, device that do function of passenger broadcasting and pilot light does not act. This time, if input information of current station, relevant device does point revision.

  • A hull-cleaning robot sticks to the surface of a vessel and moves for efficient cleaning. Precise path planning and tracking using the current position is crucial. Many robots rely on the INS algorithm, but errors accumulate. To fix this, GPS, sonar, and USBL are used, though with limitations. Selecting suitable sensors for the surface operation and accurate positioning algorithm are vital. In this study, we developed a robot position estimation algorithm using the structure of a ship. Problems that arise when expanding the 2D position estimation algorithm used in existing wall structures to 3D were evaluated and methods for solving them were proposed. In addition, we aimed to improve performance by deriving singularities that exist in the robot path and proposing an error correction algorithm based on the singularities.

  • The inverse kinematics of five-axis milling machines produce large errors near stationary points of the required surface. When the tool travels cross or around the point the rotation angles may jump considerably leading to unexpected deviations from the prescribed trajectories. We propose three new algorithms to repair the trajectories by adjusting the rotation angles in such a way that the kinematics error is minimized. Given the tool orientations and the inverse kinematics of the machine, we first eliminate the jumping angles exceeding ${\pi}$ by using the angle adjustment algorithm, leaving the jumps less than ${\pi}$ to be further optimized. Next, we propose to apply an angle switching algorithm to compute the rotations and identify an optimized sequence of rotations by the shortest path scheme. Further error reduction is accomplished by the angle insertion algorithm based an o special interpolation to obtain the required rotations near the singularity. We have verified the algorithms by five-axis milling machines, namely, MAHO600E at the CIM Lab of Asian Institute of Technology and HERMLE UWF902H at the CIM Lab of Kasetsart University.

정밀도로지도 기반 전역경로 생성을 위한 전처리 알고리즘 개발 (Design of Preprocessing Algorithm for HD-Map-based Global Path Generation)

  • 자율주행 4단계 이상에서는 차량 스스로가 목적지까지 주행하기 위해 차선 단위의 전역경로를 생성하는 것이 필수적이며, 이를 위해 정밀도로지도 활용에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 정밀도로지도 기반 전역경로 생성을 위해서는 정확한 링크 정보를 통해 도로 네트워크를 구축하는 것이 필수적인데, 현재 공개된 정밀도로지도는 이 부분의 구현을 어렵게 하는 다양한 오류를 포함하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 이러한 배경을 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 정밀도로지도 기반 전역경로 생성을 위한 링크 오류 개선 및 도로 네트워크 구축에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 전역경로 생성에 치명적일 수 있는 오류를 검출하고 링크를 포함한 정밀도로지도의 정보들을 활용하여 도로 네트워크를 구축하는 전처리 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 제안하는 방법을 통하여 실제 정밀도로지도로부터 정확한 전역경로를 생성할 수 있는 것을 확인함으로써 본 연구의 유효성을 검증하였다.

THE SPECTRAL SHAPE MATCHING METHOD FOR THE ATMOSPHERIC CORRECTION OF LANDSAT IMAGERY IN SAEMANGEUM COASTAL AREA

  • Atmospheric correction over the ocean part is more important than that over the land because the signal from the ocean is very small about one tenth of that reflected from land. In this study, the Spectral Shape Matching Method (SSMM) developed by Ahn and Shanmugam (2004) is evaluated using Landsat imagery acquired over the highly turbid Saemangeum Coastal Area. The result of SSMM is compared with COST model developed by Chavez (1991 and 1997). In principle, SSMM is simple and easy to implement on any satellite imagery, relying on both field and image properties. To assess the potential use of these methods, several field campaigns were conducted in the Saemangeum coastal area corresponding with Landsat-7 satellite's overpass on 29 May 2005. In-situ data collected from the coastal waters of Saemangeum using optical instruments (ASD field spectroradiometer) consists of ChI, Ap, SS, aooM, F(d). In order to perform SSMM, we use the in-situ water-leaving radiance spectra from clear oceanic waters to estimate the the path radiance from total signal recorded at the top of the atmosphere (TOA), due to the reason that the shape of clear water-leaving radiance spectra is nearly stable than turbid water-leaving radiance spectra. The retrieved water-leaving radiance after subtraction of path signal from TOA signal in this way is compared with that estimated by COST model. The result shows that SSMM enabled retrieval of water-leaving radiance spectra that are consistent with in-situ data obtained from Saemangeum coastal waters. The COST model yielded significantly high errors in these areas.

기능교정이 만성 허리 통증 환자의 통증과 기능장애 및 건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Functional Adjustment Procedure on Pain, Dysfunction and, Health-related Quality of Life in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain)

  • PURPOSE: This study was conducted to verify the effects of a functional correction of the pain of patients with chronic low back pain(CLBP), and to examine the effect of dysfunctional factors on health-related quality of life. METHODS: A preliminary survey was first conducted on 90 patients with CLBP after functional orthodontic treatment. Some revised questionnaires were also prepared. The survey was distributed for approximately eight weeks, and 215 copies were used as the final analysis data, except for questionnaires that were inadequate, error or non-response. RESULTS: Path analysis using the structural equation model of CLBP patients showed a positive correlation between all the path coefficients and the potential factors. The multidimensional relationship between pain and dysfunction after orthognathic treatment was confirmed using three subdivisions of the pain variables as independent variables and the dysfunctional variables as the dependent variables. Multiple regression analysis was performed to examine the effects of pain on the dysfunction. To identify the multidimensional relationship between dysfunction and the health-related quality of life, eight sub-factors of dysfunctional variables were set as the independent variables, and multiple regression was analyses were performed with the dependent variables of the health-related quality of life. CONCLUSION: This study examined the structural and influence relationships of the functional correction with pain, dysfunction, and health-related quality of life. The results, suggest that a functional orthodontic treatment can be used as a positive program for the health-related quality of life. In addition, this study is meaningful in that it provieds useful information for intervention such as psychosocial change of patients.

통합된 이진화 구조를 가진 복합기용 1-Chip 영상처리 프로세서의 개발 (Single chip multi-function peripheral image processor with unified binarization architecture)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 복합기에 사용할 수 있는 고속 영상처리 프로세스를 설계 및 구현하였다. 제안된 영상 처리 프로세스는 단일화 된 데이터 경로를 가진 이진화 알고리듬 아키텍쳐를 가진다. 외부 메모리 용량을 최소화하기 위해 화소별 파이프라인 구조를 가지고 있다. 쉐이딩 보정, 감마 보정, 자동이득조절과 같은 전처리 기능을 수행하고 CCD와 CIS를 구동한다. 전처리된 데이터는 확대/축소 과정을 거치고 다양한 이진화 알고리듬에 의해 이진화된다. 내장된 이진화 알고리듬은 단순이진화, 고대역 통과 필터링, 디더링, 오차확산법, 임계값이동 오차확산법이다. 이들 알고리듬의 구현은 임계값 이동 오차확산법에 기반을 두고 동일한 동작을 하는 회로들을 공유하도록 데이터 경로를 설계하였다. 이 구조를 구현함에 의해 제어의 복잡도와 게이트 카운터를 줄일 수 있다.
