Robust H∞ Fuzzy Control for Discrete-Time Nonlinear Systems with Time-Delay (시간 지연을 갖는 이산 시간 비선형 시스템에 대한 H∞ 퍼지 강인 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, a robust $H\infty$ stabilization problem to a uncertain discrete-time nonlinear systems with time-delay via fuzzy static output feedback is investigated. The Takagj-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent an uncertain nonlinear system with time-delayed state. Then, the parallel distributed compensation technique is used for designing of the robust fuzzy controller. Using a single Lyapunov function, the globally asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed-loop fuzzy control system are discussed. Sufficient conditions for the existence of robust $H\infty$ controllers are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities via similarity transform and congruence transform technique. We have shown the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method through the simulation.

  • This paper is to design stable fuzzy controller so as to control chaotic nonlinear systems effectively via fuzzy control system and Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC) design. To design fuzzy control system, nonlinear systems are represented by Takagi-sugeno(TS) fuzzy models. The PDC is employed to design fuzzy controllers from the TS fuzzy models. The stability analysis and control design problems is to find a common Lyapunov function for a set of linear matrix inequalitys(LMIs). The designed fuzzy controller is applied to Rossler system. The simulation results show the effectiveness of our controller.

  • In this paper, we introduce a fuzzy nonlinear feedback approach to the control of a class of chaotic dynamical systems. The fuzzy Parallel Distributed Compensation with Reduced Rule Base approach (PDC_RRB) is proposed. The design procedure is conceptually simple and considered to a nonlinear optimal and robust control problem due to the nonlinear nature of the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy system. Simulation results are provided to show the effictiveness of the proposed methodology.

  • This paper presents a voltage and frequency droop control for accurate power sharing of parallel distributed generation (DG) inverters in low voltage microgrid. In practice, line impedances between inverters and the point of common coupling of a microgrid are not always equal. This inequality in line impedances often results in reactive power sharing mismatch among inverters. To address this problem, intensive researches have been conducting. Although these methods can solve the unbalanced reactive power sharing, there are still problems remain unresolved, such as complicated structure or circulating current. To overcome such problems, a new droop control scheme is proposed, which not only guarantees accurate reactive power sharing but also has simple structure so that it can be easily implemented in existing systems without any hardware modification. The simulation is performed using Matlab/Simulinks to validate the proposed scheme.

  • Performance bottleneck of parallel computer systems has mostly been I/O devices because of disparity between processor speed and I/O speed. Therefore I/O node placement strategy is required such that it can minimize the number of I/O nodes, I/O access time and I/O traffic in an interconnection network. In this paper, we propose an optimal distance-k embedding algorithm, and analyze its effect on system performance when this algorithm is applied to n x n torus architecture. We prove this algorithm is an efficient I/O node placement using software simulation. I/O node placement using the proposed algorithm shows the highest performance among other I/O node placements in all cases. It is because locations of I/O nodes are uniformly distributed in the whole network, resulting in reduced traffic in the intE'rconnection network.

  • This paper dscribes a detail simulation model with EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transients Program) which is very effective to analyze the interaction between the ac transmission line and STATCON (static condenser). The SATCON was represented by two voltage-source converters connected in parallel and sharing an energy storage dc capacitor bank. The voltage source converters was modeled with ideal gate turn-off switches. The power system was represented by a detail generator model and a distributed tramnsmission line model for detail performance analyses. Analysis results show that the conceived simulation model is very effective to analyze the interaction between the ac transmission line and STATCON, and to evaluate the performance of STATCON.

  • The new renewable energy became popular as a clean and sustainable alternative energy under the circumstances that the entire world is facing severe abnormal climate due to the use of fossil fuel, and among which, solar energy can be obtained anywhere and is not difficult to apply it into the existing buildings, which makes it possible to be widely distributed. However, as PV module is installed into a single plate system, it shows structural weaknesses which are vulnerable to wind load and give loss to design elements in external appearance. Accordingly, this study planned one-step parallel system to complement the problems occurring from a single plate system and used STAR-CCM+ V.8 made by CD-Adapco, a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation tool to measure wind load stability and support based on the design standards for a single plate system and one-step parallel system. Building height was limited to less than 10m and wind speed was given when increasing from 35m/s to 50m/s by 5m/s on PV system installed into the flat roof. In this case, our analysis suggested that step-one parallel system was in class 7-9 according to Beaufort's wind power classification, which did not have an impact on the fixed PV system, and the single plate system is considered to cause risks in designing wind speed in central districts because it is more than wind power class 12.

  • In this paper the structure of 2-DOF controller based on artificial immune network algorithms has been suggested for nonlinear system. Up to present time, a number of structures of the 2-DOF controllers are considered as 2-DOF (2-Degrees Of Freedom) control functions. However, a general view is provided that they are the special cases of either the state feedback or the modification of PID controllers. On the other hand, the immune network system possesses a self organizing and distributed memory, also it has an adaptive function by feed back law to its external environment and allows a PDP (parallel distributed processing) network to complete patterns against the environmental situation, since antibody recognizes specific antigens which are the foreign substances that invade living creatures. Therefore, it can provide optimal solution to external environment. Simulation results by immune based 2-DOF controller reveal that immune algorithm is an effective approach to search for 2-DOF controller.

  • In this paper we propose a method for performance enhancement of speech recognizer under noisy conditions. The parallel combination model which is presented at the PMC method using multiple Gaussian-distributed mixtures have been adapted to the variation of each mixture. The CDHMM(continuous observation density HMM) which has multiple Gaussian distributed mixtures are combined by the proposed PMC method. Also, the EM(expectation maximization) algorithm is used for adapting the model mean parameter in order to reduce the variation of the mixture density. The result of simulation, the proposed PMC adaptation method show better performance than the conventional PMC method.
