The natural projection of a parameter lower (upper) distribution set for a self-similar measure on a self-similar set satisfying the open set condition is the cylindrical lower or upper local dimension set for the Legendre self-similarmeasure which is derived from the self-similar measure and the self-similar set.

This present study has dealt with the effect of surfactant on the freezing of aqueous solution Sodium chloride aqueous solution was used to measure the effect of surfactant and the main parameters of this experiment were temperature of bath, revolution of stirrer. and the radial velocity of NaCl solution. The acquired main conclusions are as follows; 1) the lower super-cooling temperature make hardly to attach the ice on beaker, 2) the size of ice become smaller to add the surfactant, 3) the ice packing factor increase with increasing of stirrer revolution.

Using an information of dimensions of divergence points, we give full information of dimensions of the completely decomposed class of the lower(upper) distribution sets of a self-similar Cantor set. Further using a relationship between the distribution sets and the subsets generated by the lower(upper) local dimensions of a self-similar measure, we give full information of dimensions of the subsets by the local dimensions.

We study the topological magnitude of a special subset from the distribution subsets in a self-similar Cantor set. The special subset whose every element has no accumulation point of a frequency sequence as some number related to the similarity dimension of the self-similar Cantor set is of the first category in the self-similar Cantor set.

In the 90 years or so since the beginning of the 20 th century , orchard growing and agricultural fields in Japan have undergone considerable change in terms of production volume, a seen in Fig. 1. as this change in volume progressed, sorting and packing machines have also grown from the first wooden tools, almost too simple to be called " machines" into sophisticated devices that bring together diverse technologies such as machinery , electronics, and optics. Nowadays, Japan/s agricultural industry is facing unprecedentedly serious labor shortage and the rapid aging of its experienced growers and producers, In additions, Japan has changed from a society oriented towards high-volume production and consumption to a more selective society which prefers smaller volume with the tastes of naturally ripended produce. With consumer trends changing there is a new demand on the part of growers for equipment that can not only measure the external quality of produce , but can measure inte nal quality as well.

Recently , it has been popular for family use to sell a watermelon by the piece such as a half or a quarter. Therefore, it has been necessary to detect and sort out hollow or overripened watermelons before they are shipped. Previously, inspection and rejection of hollow or overripened watermelons were carried out by skilled inspectors with their experience and intuition based on the traditional slapping method. In recent years many inspectors have became older and are going to retire. Thus automatic quality measuring devices have to be developed. There are many reports on the measurement of internal quality for watermelons with non-destructive methods. However, there is no online device to detect and measure both hollow and ripeness of watermelons until now. We have developed the model MWA-9002 online device to detect hollow and measuring the ripeness of watermelons by acoustic impulse. The developed of this devices has enables accurate distinction and rejection at the same level of the skilled inspectors, and also has saved labor. Nowadays nine automatic watermelon sorting and packing facilities applied this device have installed in Japan.

A new method for measurement of the pore size in a nanohoneycomb structure using atomic force microscopy (AFM) was proposed. Porous type anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) was fabricated as a nanohoneycomb structure to measure the pore size. For measuring pore sizes from AFM images, a criterion was set in porous type AAO. The pore sizes from AFM images were compared with those from SEM images, and the results showed good agreement. The relationship between the pore size and widening time was found to be linear in the range of this study. It was understood as the synchronized effects of the impurity gradient in outer oxide of AAO, mechanical packing and mass transfer increase.

For large power applications, multi-stacked tape should be used because single tape is limited in flowing demanded current capacity. Besides insulation between layers is needed for safe operation because high voltages are generated in those applications. In this study, considering those situations which mentioned above, we measure the magnetization loss in several multi-stacked tape samples having the different insulation thicknesses and various packing numbers of tape by external magnetic field having various incidence angles.

MgO 박막은 PDP(plasma display panels)분야에서 널리 사용되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는, 기존에 사용되고 있는 e-beam evaporation, reactive magnetron sputtering법과 arc deposition법으로 MgO 보호막을 증착하여 구조적 · 광학적 특성을 비교하였다. 반응 가스인 산소 가스의 유입량을 변화시켜 Mg metal target을 이용하여 vacuum arc deposition equipment 의해 유리 기판 위에 증착하였다. Ellipsometer를 이용하여 치밀도를 측정하고, MgO보호막의 마모율(erosion rate)를 측정하기 위해 가속 실험 방법을 도입, Ar+ 이온빔에 의한 erosion test를 시행하여 내마모성을 알아보았다. 또한, XPS와 UV test를 사용하여 MgO보호막의 광투과도에 미치는 수분의 영향을 조사한 결과, arc evaporation 법이 광투과도 90%이상을 유지하여 수분의 영향에 둔감한 것을 알 수 있었다. 한편, XRD와 AFM을 이용하여 MgO 박막의 구조와 표면 형상에 대해 조사하였다.
