SONDRESTROM 비간섭 산란 레이더 자료를 이용한 극지방 전리층의 기후학적 특성 연구 (CLIMATOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POLAR IONOSPHERE BASED ON THE SONDRESTROM INCOHERENT SCATTER RADAR MEASUREMENTS)

  • 전리층의 전기 전도도와 전기장을 구함으로써 극지방 전리층의 기후학적 특성을 살펴보았다 이를 위해, 총 109일간의 Sondrestrom 비간섭 산란 레이더 자료를 이용하였다. 전기 전도도와 전기장을 이용하여 전리층 전류 분포를 추정하였고, 구해진 전리층 전류 밀도와 그로 인해 유발되는 지상 지자기 변화를 비교하였다. 또한 지상 지자기 변화(특히, D 성분)에 대한 연자기력선 전류의 효과도 검토되었다. Sondrestrom 상공 전리층에 대한 몇 가지 흥미로운 기후학적 특성을 본 연구로부터 알 수 있었다: (1) 주간의 전기 전도도 분포는 주로 태양 EUV복사에 의한 것이며, 야간에는 미약하다. (2) 극관 영역 전리층의 전기 전도도 분포는, 주간에는 태양 EUV복사에 의한 분포를 보이는 반면, 야간에는 Hall 및 Pedersen 전기 전도도의 시간 평균이 각각 1.6 및 1.2 siemen으로 아주 낮다. (3) 남북 성분 전기장의 최대치가 낮 영역에 나타나는 경향이 있다. 동서 성분 전기장은 Chatanika에 비해 강하다 (4) 동서 성분 전류는 낮 영역에서 강하게 흐른다. 정오 바로 전에 강한 남향 전류가 흐른다. (5) 오로라제트전류와 동시에 관측된 지상 지자기 변화 $({{\Delta}}H)$ 사이에 높은 상관관계를 나타낸다. 하지만 무한판상을 가정한 전류가 크게 과소평가 된다. 또한 ${{\Delta}}H$의 관계보다 더 높게 나타나며, 이것은 연자기력선 전류가 ${\Delta}7$에 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Poly-Si의 불규칙한 Grain boundary 분포로 인해 발생하는 문턱전압의 변화에 대해서도 일정한 전류를 흘려줄 수 있는 전류원을 제안하였다. 기존의 문턱전압 보상 전류원에 비해 넓은 입력전압 범위에서도 포화영역의 특성이 매우 향상되었으며 문턱전압의 변화에 따른 전류의 오차를 감소시킬 수 있었다. 마지막으로 HSPICE 시뮬레이션 과정을 통해 Poly-Si TFT의 특성곡선과 제안된 전류원의 특성곡선을 비교하였으며 각각의 입력전압에 대한 문턱전압의 변화에 따른 출력전류의 상대오차를 측정하였다.

  • The channel of the superconducting Flux Flow Transistor has been fabricated with plasma etching method using ICP. The ICP conditions were 700 W of ICP power, 150 W of rf chuck power, 5 mTorr of the pressure in chamber and 1:1 of Ar : Cl$_2$, respectively. The channel etched by plasma gas showed superconducting characteristics of over 77 K and superior surface morphology. The critical current of SFFT was altered by varying the external applied current. As the external applied current increased from 0 to 12 mA, the critical current decreased from 28 to 22 mA. Then the obtained r$\sub$m/ values were smaller than 0.1Ω at a bias current of 40 mA. The current gain was about 0.5. Output resistance was below 0.2 Ω.

  • This paper presents design and stability analysis of the constant frequency Flyback type converter using average current-mode control. The average current-mode control has been recently reported, and superior characteristics over a peak current-mode control such as a good tracking performance of an average current, no slope compensation and noise immunity. By the improvement of PM(Phase Margin) obt from applying the compensator in the current loop, the stability of designed flyback convert more improved.   • The charge pump in a phase-locked loop is a key block in determining reference spurs of the VCO output signal. To reduce reference spurs, the current mismatch in the charge pump must be minimized. This paper presents a dual compensation method to reduce the current mismatch. The proposed charge pump and PLL were realized in a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process. Measured current matching characteristics were achieved with less than 1.4% difference and with the current variation of 3.8% in the pump current over the charge pump output voltage range of 0.35-1.35V at 1.8V. The reference spur of the PLL based on the proposed charge pump was measured to be -71dBc.

  • IGBT modules are designed for low loss, rugged for all environments and user friendly. Low on state saturation voltage with high switching speed is the primary concerns. In this paper selection of IGBT, module ratings and characteristics are discussed. The IGBT design topic of protection against over voltage and over current are covered. Emphasis on turn off switching, short circuit switching and necessary precautions are dealt. Selection of IGBT device, gate drive power, and its lay out considerations are covered in detail.

  • Temperature and resistance of a Bi-2223 tape for fault currents up to 10 $I_{c}$ were measured in two types of samples taking into account real applications. The results indicate that the Bi-2223 tape is safe from burn-out for fault currents with a few cycles up to 10 I$_{c}$. For fault currents of over an order of magnitude higher than the nominal current, the temperature of the Bi-2223 tape depends strongly on fault durations.s.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the problem and complaint of current flight suit derived with the questionnaires. The survey was carried out to the 137 aviators in Army Aviation School from April to May, 2007. The questionnaires were composed of personal characteristics, usage characteristics, wearing characteristics and free comments. Regard to the questionnaires of usage characteristics, they wore the flight suit over 6 hours a day and over 5 days a week. For wearing convenience item in usage characteristics it was revealed that fitness, ease and the location of pocket were not proper, Also, it showed that the material characteristics(e.g. insulation, absorption, and sensation) for flight suit was not proper. Regard to the questionnaire of wearing characteristics, the most inconvenient part is crotch as the answer on the question of "unfitting part in size" and "inconvenient part when wearing". Free comments for the improvement requests are various size, material, stitch strengthening, pattern modifying, and accessories.
