Lower bounds for the full level probabilities are derived under order restrictions in weights. Discussions are made on typical isotonic cones such as linear order, simple tree order, and unimodal order cones. We also discuss applications of these results for constructing conditional likelihood ratio tests for ordered hypotheses in a contingency table. A real data set on torus mandibularis will be analyzed for illustrating the testing procedure.

In this paper, statistical properties of the spatiotemporal center weighted median(CWM) filter for image sequences are investigated. It is statistically shown that the CWM filter preserves image structures under motion at the expense of noise suppression. To improve the CWM filter, a filter which can be effectively used in image sequence processing, the adaptive directional center weighted median filter (ADCWM), is proposed. This filter utilizes a multistage filtering structure based on adaptive symmetric order statistic(ASOS) operators which produce a pall of order statistics symmetric about the median. The ASOS's are selected by using adaptive parameters adjusted by local image statistics. It is shown experimentally that the proposed filter can preserve image structures while attenuating noise without the use of motion estimation.
This paper presents a speech recognition method utilizing third-order cumulants as a feature vector and a neural network for recognition. The use of higher-order cumulants provides desirable uncoupling between the gaussian noise and speech, which enables us to estimate the coefficients of AR model without bias. Unlike the conventional method using second-order statistics, the proposed one exhibits low bias even in SNR as low as 0 dB at the expense of higher variance. It is confirmed through computer simulation that recognition rate of korean single-vowels with the cumulant-based method is much higher than the results with the conventional method even in low SNR.
According to the current increase of the usefulness of information by Internet Communication network, several methods are proposed in which a specific domain information nay be efficiently constructed and serviced. This paper proposes Relationship Grouping of Fuzzy Filtering Objects for Multimedia Statistic Post-office Box Construction. The proposed method exploits RelCRO( $D_{omain}$, Gi), RelSRO( $D_{omain}$, Gi) and FAS in order to group using (equation omitted)-cut. To know how well the proposed method is able to work, this paper have test against the methods with 1600 items of multimedia type information, and our system are compared with Random-Key, OGM and the proposed method. The results shows that the proposed method provides the better performance than the other methods.
In this study, we analyze the current status of major disasters in distribution works and propose safety measures through the distribution live-line work method and electric shock risk assessment. The result of analyzing the ratio of electric shocks to the occurrence of industrial accidents in the recent 13 years shows that the death rate is higher than other industries, especially the construction industry occupying most of the disaster, and it is higher than the collapse disaster. We analyze statistic data of 101 victims selected as core words of live work, distribution line, pole and 22.9 kV in the investigation report of major accident of electric shock fatal from 2001 to 2014. The safety measure was established through the risk assessment of the distribution method using the standard model of the risk assessment based on the results of electric shock analysis on the distribution line. In order to prevent the electric shock accident which is recently being discussed, the risk assessment procedure were carried out in the above-mentioned 22.9kV special high voltage live-line operation method. We derived the risk reduction plan for the distribution line from the results of the major accidents statistic and demonstration of the line works.
This paper proposes a selectively cumulative sum(S-CUSUM) control chart for detecting shifts in the process mean. The basic idea of the S-CUSUM chart is to accumulate previous samples selectively in order to increase the sensitivity. The S-CUSUM chart employs a threshold limit to determine whether to accumulate previous samples or not. Consecutive samples with control statistics out of the threshold limit are to be accumulated to calculate a standardized control statistic. If the control statistic falls within the threshold limit, only the next sample is to be used. During the whole sampling process, the S-CUSUM chart produces an 'out-of-control' signal either when any control statistic falls outside the control limit or when L -consecutive control statistics fall outside the threshold limit. The number L is a decision variable and is called a 'control length'. A Markov chain approach is employed to describe the S-CUSUM sampling process. Formulae for the steady state probabilities and the Average Run Length(ARL) during an in-control state are derived in closed forms. Some properties useful for designing statistical parameters are also derived and a statistical design procedure for the S-CUSUM chart is proposed. Comparative studies show that the proposed S-CUSUM chart is uniformly superior to the CUSUM chart or the Exponentially Weighted Moving Average(EWMA) chart with respect to the ARL performance.
A survival variable is a non-negative random variable X with distribution function F(t) satisfying F(0) : 0 and a survival function F(t): 1-F(t). This variable is said to be New Better than Used of specified age t$_{0}$ if F(x+ t$_{0}$)$\leq$F(x).F(t$_{0}$) for all x$\geq$0 and a fixed t$_{0}$. We propose the test for H$_{0}$ : F(x+t$_{0}$)=F(x).F(t$_{0}$) for all x$\geq$0 against H$_1$: F(x+t$_{0}$) $\leq$ F(x).F(t$_{0}$) for all x$\geq$0 when the specified age to is unknown but can be estimated from the data when t$_{0}$=ζ$_{p}$, the pth percentile of F. This test statistic, which is based on the normalized spacings between the ordered observations, is readily applied in the case of small sample. Also, our test is more simple than Ahmad's test (1998). Finally, the performance of our test is presented.our test is presented.

Recently, a spectrum sensing technique employing the maximum value of a received power spectrum as a test statistic has been presented in the literature for the purpose of detecting a wireless microphone signal in TV bands This detects the presence of a primary user by comparing the test statistic with some threshold, which depends on the background noise power level as well as a target false alarm rate. Therefore its performance may deteriorate when the noise power uncertainty occurs. As a means to mitigate this difficulty, we present a spectrum sensing strategy adopting the ratio of the maximum and the minimum value of the power spectrum as a test statistic and analyze its performance of spectrum sensing.
This research discusses the characteristics and the implementation strategies for two types of quality metrics to analyze innovation effects in six sigma projects: fixed specification type and moving specification type. $Z_{st}$, $P_{pk}$ are quality metrics of fixed specification type that are influenced by predetermined specification. In contrast, the quality metrics of moving specification type such as Strictly Standardized Mean Difference(SSMD), Z-Score, F-Statistic and t-Statistic are independent from predetermined specification. $Z_{st}$ sigma level obtains defective rates of Parts Per Million(PPM) and Defects Per Million Opportunities(DPMO). However, the defective rates between different industrial sectors are incomparable due to their own technological inherence. In order to explore relative method to compare defective rates between different industrial sectors, the ratio of specification and natural tolerance called, $P_{pk}$, is used. The drawback of this $P_{pk}$ metric is that it is highly dependent on the specification. The metrics of F-Statistic and t-Statistic identify innovation effect by comparing before-and-after of accuracy and precision. These statistics are not affected by specification, but affected by type of statistical distribution models and sample size. Hence, statistical significance determined by above two statistics cannot give a same conclusion as practical significance. In conclusion, SSMD and Z-Score are the best quality metrics that are uninfluenced by fixed specification, theoretical distribution model and arbitrary sample size. Those metrics also identify the innovation effects for before-and-after of accuracy and precision. It is beneficial to use SSMD and Z-Score methods along with popular methods of $Z_{st}$ sigma level and $P_{pk}$ that are commonly employed in six sigma projects. The case studies from national six sigma contest from 2011 to 2012 are proposed and analyzed to provide the guidelines for the usage of quality metrics for quality practitioners.
We can achieve the principle of parsimony and efficiency if homogeneity for panel time series model is satisfied. We suggest a Rao test statistic and a Wald test statistic for the test of homogeneity for panel AR(1) and derived the limit distribution. We performed a simulation to examine statistics with the same chisquare distribution when number of the individual is small and in common with large. We also simulated to compare the empirical power of the statistics in a small panel. In application, we fit panel AR(1) model using regional monthly economical active population data and test homogeneity for panel AR(1). It is satisfied homogeneity, so it could be fitted AR(1) using the sample mean at the time point. We also compare the power of prediction between each individual and pooled model.
