Using Ahlfors' covering surface method, some properties on the strong Borel direction of algebroid function of finite order are obtained. The main object of this paper is to prove existence theorem of a strong Borel direction and the existence of filling discs in such direction which briefly extends some results of meromorphic function.

In this paper, we construct the multiple (h, p, q)-Hurwitz-Euler eta function by generalizing the multiple Hurwitz-Euler eta function. We get some explicit formulas and properties of the higher-order (h, p, q)-Euler numbers and polynomials.

A calculation of the Kullback-Leibler information of consecutive order statistics is complicated because it depends on a multi-dimensional integral. Park (2014) discussed a representation of the Kullback-Leibler information of the first r order statistics in terms of the hazard function and simplified the r-fold integral to a single integral. In this paper, we first express the Kullback-Leibler information in terms of the reversed hazard function. Then we establish a generalized result of Park (2014) to an arbitrary consecutive order statistics. We derive a single integral form of the Kullback-Leibler information of an arbitrary block of order statistics; in addition, its relation to the Fisher information of order statistics is discussed with numerical examples provided.

This study examined the dual mediating effects of preschoolers' executive function and counterfactual thinking in the relationship between maternal reflective functioning and preschoolers' higher-order thinking. Participants included 293 preschoolers and their mothers in Daegu city and Gyeongsang province. The mothers completed questionnaires regarding their reflective functioning, preschoolers' executive function, and creative thinking. Teachers completed questionnaires regarding preschoolers' critical thinking and caring thinking. Preschoolers' counterfactual thinking was measured by interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis with SPSS 25.0. Path analysis and bootstrapping were used with AMOS 25.0 program. Also, specific indirect effect were analyzed using AMOS user-defined estimand function. The primary results of this study are as follows. Maternal reflective functioning had an indirect effect on preschoolers' critical thinking and caring thinking through preschoolers' executive function and counterfactual thinking; however, maternal reflective functioning had no indirect effect on preschoolers' creative thinking through preschoolers' executive function and counterfactual thinking. This study revealed that maternal reflective functioning and preschoolers' executive function and counterfactual thinking need to be considered simultaneously to explain the level of preschoolers' higher-order thinking. The results highlight the dual mediating effects of preschoolers' executive function and counterfactual thinking in the relationship between maternal reflective functioning and preschoolers' higher-order thinking.

이 논문에서는 hybrid projection 함수와 rank order 필터를 이용하여 눈동자를 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 눈썹을 눈동자로 검출하는 오류를 줄이기 위하여, hybrid projection 함수를 이용하여 얼굴 영역에서 눈썹을 검출하고 눈썹이 포함되지 않도록 눈 영역을 설정한다. 눈 영역에서 rank order 필터를 사용하여 눈동자 후보점을 찾고 위치를 보정한다. 두 눈동자 후보점을 기하학적인 제약조건을 기반으로 쌍으로 묶고 각 쌍의 두 눈에 대한 유사도를 정합을 이용하여 측정하여가장작은값을 갖는 쌍을 최종눈동자로 결정한다. BioID 얼굴데이터베이스의 얼굴 영상 700개에 대한 실험 결과 92.4%의 검출율을 얻었으며 기존 방법보다 약 21.5% 개선된 결과를 얻었다.

This paper investigates the issue of analytic travelling wave solutions for some important coupled models of fractional order. Analytic travelling wave solutions of the considered model are found by means of the Q-function method. The results give us that the Q-function method is very simple, reliable and effective for searching analytic exact solutions of complex nonlinear partial differential equations.

This paper deals with the problem of determining the retailer's optimal price and order size under the condition of order-size-dependent delay in payments. It is assumed that the length of delay is a function of the retailer's total amount of purchase. The constant price elasticity demand function is adopted which is a decreasing function of retail price. Investigation of the properties of an optimal solution allows us to develop an algorithm whose validity is illustrated through an example problem.

In this paper, we derive the likelihood function for the independent random order statistic whose underlying lifetime distribution is a two parameter Weibull form. For this purpose we first discuss the order statistic which represent a characteristic feature of most life and fatigue tests that they give rise to ordered observations. And, we describe the properties of the underlying Weibull model. The derived likelihood function is essential for establishing the statistical life test plans in the case of Weibull distribution using a likelihood ratio method.

We study the real-analytic continuation of local real-analytic solutions to the Cauchy problems of quasi-linear partial differential equations of first order for a scalar function. By making use of the first integrals of the characteristic vector field and the implicit function theorem we determine the maximal domain of the analytic extension of a local solution as a single-valued function. We present some examples including the scalar conservation laws that admit global first integrals so that our method is applicable.
