  • Network virtualization is an emerging technology for solving the rigidity of the physical network infrastructure. The innovative technique virtualizes all resources in the network, including the network links and nodes, and provides a number of virtual networks on a single network infrastructure. In order to realize a virtual network, a thorough and complete monitoring of all resources in the network should be performed firstly. OpenFlow is an open source stack for network virtualization. However, it is impossible to apply OpenFlow to AP-based legacy wireless LAN environment because OpenFlow targets ethernet-based LAN environment. In this paper, we implement an adaptor-styled virtual switch for AP-based wireless LAN through customizing the Open vSwitch which is a virtual switch of OpenFlow. The evaluation test results show that the implemented OpenFlow stack operates successfully. The implemented OpenFlow stack can now be plugged immediately in existing AP-based wireless LAN environment and plays network resource monitoring. In the future, we can develop wireless LAN virtualization applications on the wireless OpenFlow stack.

  • Network virtualization enables us to make efficient use of resources in a physical network by embedding multiple virtual networks in the physical network. In this paper, we develop a prototype of a virtual network embedding system. Our system consists of OpenStack, which is an open source cloud service platform, and shell scripts. Because OpenStack does not provide a quality of service control function, we realize bandwidth reservation for virtual links by making use of the ingress policing function of Open vSwitch, which is a virtual switch used in OpenStack. The shell scripts in our system automatically construct the required virtual network on the physical network using the OpenStack command-line interface, and they reserve bandwidth for virtual links using the Open vSwitch command. Experimental evaluation confirms that our system constructs the requested virtual network and appropriately allocates node and link resources to it.

  • Software-Defined Networking (SDN) offers several advantages in dynamic routing, flexible programmable control and custom application-driven network management. However, the programmability of the data plane in traditional SDN is limited. A network operator cannot change the ability of the data plane and perform complex packet processing on the data plane, which limits the flexibility and extendibility of SDN. In the paper, AP-SDN (Action Program enabled Software-Defined Networking) architecture is proposed, which extends the action set of SDN data plane. In the proposed architecture, a modified Open vSwitch is utilized in the data plane allowing the execution of action programs at runtime, thus enabling complex packet processing. An example action program is also implemented which transparently encrypts traffic for terminals. At last, a prototype system of AP-SDN is developed and experiments show its effectiveness and performance.

  • In this thesis I analyzed that V5.2 protocol function is effective to fulfill all of the services that are provided at the existing local exchange. I analyzed this in five methods that refer to ETSI inside patronage. I experimented turnaround time by Start-up method and verified V5.2 protocol function when Start-up. Also I confirmed stability of system by the reconstruction-ability experiment related E1 switch over. I verified V5.2 protocol function through PSTN call process that uses a special service test and local call simulator. As a result of experiment, I confirmed the best method when simultaneous Start-up. V5.2 protocol function was excellent and It becomes switch over at 1/1000 seconds when E1 is out of service. V5.2 protocol function was effective to fulfill all of the special services that are provided at local exchange and its long call process ability was superior to KT standard with 4 fails in 20000 calls. Through the experiment, it was proved that V5.2 interface will become a significant element of communication network when after LE side expanse of v5 interface ID with TDX-100 exchanger and the AN occurrences OOS by message transmission limit and call disconnect when E1 switch over are improved.

  • In this paper, the architecture of Dynamic GSMP V3(General Switch Management Protocol Version 3), an open interface protocol with resource management functions for efficient IP service on ATM over MPLS, is proposed and implemented in hardware. And we compare and analyze the proposed GSMP with the GSMP under standardization process in terms of CLR (Cell Loss Rate). We design the Slave block of the Dynamic GSMP V3 using SAM-SUNG SoG $0.5{\mu}m$ process, which performs functions for switch connection control in the ATM Switch. In order to compare difference performanaces between the proposed method and the conventional one, we conducts simulations using the minimum buffer search algorithm with random cell generation. The exponential results show that the proposed method leads to performance enhancement in CLR.

  • This paper proposed controlling methods for SDN(Software Defined Network) based multiple radio access technology as the solutions of following two issues which were mainly occurred by explosive increasing of video traffic. The first one is a requirement for traffic off-loading caused by 3rd-party video service providers from the mobile network operator's viewpoint. The other one is a provision of high-speed video contents transmission services with low price. Furthermore, the performance evaluation was also conducted on the real test-bed which is composed of OpenStack cloud and SDN technology such as OpenFlow and Open vSwitch. A virtual machine running on the OpenStack provide a video service and the terminal which is able to use multiple radio access technology supports two 2.4GHz WLANs(Wireless Local Area Network) and three 5GHz WLANs, concurrently. Finally, we can get 820Mbps of the maximum transmission speed by using that five WLAN links for the single service at the same time.

  • This paper describes high speed and low power design techniques for an 8-bit 500MSamples/s CMOS 2-step ADC. Instead of the conventional closed-loop architecture, the newly proposed ADC adopts open-loop architecture and uses a reset-switch to reduce loading time in an environment of big parasitic-capacitances of mux-array. An analog-latch is also used to reduce power consumption. Simulation result shows that the ADC has the SNDR of 46.91㏈ with a input frequency of 103MHz at 500Msample/s and consumes 203㎽ with a 1.8V single power supply. The chip is designed with a 0.18mm 1-poly 6-metal CMOS technology and occupies active area of 760${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$*800${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$.

  • Device-to-device (D2D) communication is a potential solution to the incessant increase in data traffic on cellular networks. The greatest problem is how to control the interference between D2D users and cellular mobile users, and between D2D users themselves. This paper proposes a solution for this issue by putting the full control privilege in cellular network using the software-defined networking (SDN) concept. A software virtual switch called Open vSwitch and several components are integrated into mobile devices for data forwarding and radio resource mapping, whereas the control functions are executed in the cellular network via a SDN controller. This allows the network to assign radio resources for D2D communication directly, thus reducing interference. This solution also brings out many benefits, including resource efficiency, energy saving, topology flexibility, etc. The advantages and disadvantages of this architecture are analyzed by both a mathematical method and a simple implementation. The result shows that implementation of this solution in the next generation of cellular networks is feasible.

  • The antifuse is a semi-permanent memory device like a ROM which shows the open or short state, and a switch device connecting logic blocks selectively in FPGA. In addition, the antifuse has been used as a logic device to troubleshoot defective memory cells arising from SDRAM processing. In this study, we have fabricated ONO antifuses consisted of PIP structure. The antifuse shows a high resistance more than several G Ω in the normal state, and shows a low resistance less than 500 Ω after program. The program resistance variation according to temperature shows the very stable value of $\pm$20 Ω. At this time, its program voltage shows 6.7∼7.2 V and the program is performed within 1 second. Therefore this result shows that the PIP antifuse is a very stable and programmable logic device.
