  • Insulation aging diagnosis system provides early warning regarding electrical equipment defect. Early warning is very important in that it can avoid great losses resulting from unexpected shutdown of the production line. Since relations of insulation aging and partial discharge dynamics are non-linear, it is very difficult to provide early warning in an electrical equipment. In this paper, we propose the design method of insulation aging diagnosis system that use a magnetic wave and acoustic signal to diagnoses an electrical equipment. Proposed system measures the partial discharge on-line from DAS(Data Acquisition System) and acquires 2D patterns from analyzing it. For filtering the noise contained in sensor signals we used ICA algorithms. Using this data, design of the neuro-fuzzy model that diagnoses an electrical equipment is investigated. Validity of the new method is asserted by numerical simulation.

  • Partial discharge testing are rapidly becoming the most powerful tool to assess the condition of high voltage generator and motor stator windings. Recently, on-line monitoring scheme with trending technique is widely applied in insulation diagnosis. This paper describes the on-line partial discharge detecting techniques in the high voltage motor stator windings. Also, on-line monitoring system for an insulation diagnosis are proposed.

  • This study deals with on-line fault detection and diagnosis for heat exchanger of variable speed refrigeration system. Conventional studies about fault of heat exchanger in refrigeration system have used temperature and pressure information. The temperature and pressure are able to be used valuably for faults detection of constant speed refrigeration system. However in case of variable speed refrigeration system, the temperature and pressure are no longer useful information for fault detection due to compensation effect of feedback controller. While current information is possible to detect faults of variable speed refrigeration system. The current information was detected in an inverter, it was used after transforming rms value. The faults of variable speed refrigeration system are divided into electrical faults and mechanical faults. We performed fault detection and diagnosis about heat exchanger among mechanical faults such as condenser fouling and evaporator fan fouling through some experiments.

  • The solid insulation system of stator windings in high voltage rotational machines is usually aging in accordance with long time operation. The partial discharge test have been known to check whether insulation deterioration exist or not, and the PD test can effectively diagnose a solid insulation condition regardless of during operation(on-line) or not(off-line). The on-line PD measurement have proven to be a successful technique in monitoring stator insulation condition nowadays. This paper describes the characteristics of comparing the on-line PD measurement data using PDMS-HG(Partial Discharge Monitoring System for Hydro-electric Generator) installed in field with the off-line diagnosis measurement data(insulation resistance, winding resistance, PI, ${\Delta}tan{\delta}$ and PD) on hydro generator(13[kV]) stator windings. These results make good use of managing rotational machines through evaluating the solid insulation condition of stator windings.

Zigbee통신을 이용한 전력변환기기의 DC Bus 커패시터의 온라인 원격 고장진단 시스템 (On-line Remote Diagnosis System for DC Bus Capacitor of Power Converters Using Zigbee Communication)

  • DC bus electrolytic capacitors are used in variety of equipments as smoothing element of the power converters because it has high capacitance for its size and low price. It is responsible for frequent breakdowns of many static converters and inverter drive systems. Therefore it is important to diagnosis monitoring the condition of an electrolytic capacitor in real-time to predict the failure of power converter. In this paper, the on-line remote diagnosis monitoring system for DC BUS electrolytic capacitors of power converter using low-cost type Zigbee communication modules is developed. To estimate the health status of the capacitor, the equivalent series resistor(ESR) of the component has to be determined. The capacitor ESR is estimated by using RMS computation using AC coupling method of DC link ripple voltage/current. The Zigbee communication-based experimental results show that the proposed remote DC capacitor diagnosis monitoring system can be applied to DC/DC converter and UPS successfully.

  • In this paper, the induction motor bearing fault diagnosis system using current signals which are measured by over-sampling method is presented. In the case of inverter fed motor drive unlike line-driven motor drive, that make a lot of noise which can cause a wrong fault signals because of PWM(pulse width modulation) voltage. So, the current signals for fault diagnosis need very precise and high resolution information, which means this system demand additional hardware such as low pass filter, high resolution ADC system and so on to use fault diagnosis system. Therefore, the proposed over-sampling method is expected to contribute to low cost fault diagnosis system even though previous inverter fed motor drive without any additional hardware. In order to confirm the presented algorithms, various experiments for bearing faults are tested and the line current spectrum of each faulty situation using park transformation is compared with a FFT results.

  • In this paper, a new expert system scheme, called Logic Based Expert System (LBES), is proposed for real time fault diagnosis of power system. In LBES, Expertise is represented by logical connectives and converted into a Boolean function. The set of Prime Implicants (PIs) of the Boolean function contains all the sound inference results which can be obtained from the expertise. Therefore, off-line inference is possible by off-line PI identification, which reduces the on-line inference time considerably and makes it possible to utilize-the LBES in real-time environment.

  • An electrolytic capacitor is widely used in a motor drive system. Therefore, the deterioration diagnosis of an electrolytic capacitor is needed of preventive maintenance of the system. In this paper, we propose a new diagnosis method for the electrolytic capacitor by using the system identification method, which presents the information about the capacitor's interna parameters in on-line operation an use fuzzy algorithm for the deterioration decision. We demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme by using computer simulation.

  • In this paper, The implementation of modular neural net for fault diagnosis in power system is presented. Until now, there have been many researches on expert system for fault diagnosis. On expert system, a lot of time for searching goal is needed. But, neural net processes with high speed, as it has parallel distributed processing structure. So neural net has good performance in on-line fault diagnosis. For fault diagnosis in large power system, the constitution of modular neural net with partition of large power system is presented.

개선된 퍼지 ART 알고리즘을 이용한 한방 자가 진단 시스템 (Self Health Diagnosis System of Oriental Medicine Using Enhanced Fuzzy ART Algorithm)

  • 최근 여러 인터넷 서비스 업체에서 온라인 의료 진단 서비스 시스템을 제공하고 있다. 대부분 의료 진단 서비스 시스템은 서양 의학을 기초로 질병에 대한 처방이나 식이요법 등을 제공하기 때문에 전문 지식이 부족한 일반인들은 이용하기에 큰 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지 ART 알고리즘을 적용하여 한국인 고유의 신체적 특성에 맞는 한의학 기반의 한방 자가 진단 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 한방 자가 진단 시스템은 사용자가 제시한 증상과 이전에 진단 받았던 진료 기록을 바탕으로 이미 학습되어진 질병의 증상과 비교하여 신경망을 통해 유사도가 높은 상위 3개의 질병을 도출한다. 또한 상위 3개의 질병에 대해 질병의 전체적인 증상과 한의학 서적에서 제시한 민간요법을 제시한다. 질병과 증상에 대한 데이터베이스는 여러 한의학 서적을 통해 구축한 후 한의학 전문의의 검증을 거쳐 구현하였다. 제안된 한방 자가 진단 시스템은 진료 기록을 바탕으로 학습함으로써 기존의 질병 진단 시스템 보다 정확하게 질병을 진단한 것을 확인하였다.
