딥러닝 모형을 이용한 신호교차로 대기행렬길이 예측 (Predicting a Queue Length Using a Deep Learning Model at Signalized Intersections)

  • 본 연구는 영상검지기에서 수집되는 정보를 활용하여 딥러닝 기반으로 대기행렬길이를 예측하는 모형을 개발하였다. 그리고 통계적 기법인 다중회귀 모형을 추정하여 평균절대오차와 평균제곱근오차의 두 지표를 이용하여 비교·평가하였다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 시간, 요일, 점유율, 버스 교통량이 유효한 변수로 도출되었고, 이 중에서 독립변수들의 종속변수에 대한 영향력은 점유율이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 딥러닝 최적 모형은 은닉층이 4겹, Look Back이 6으로 결정되었고, 평균절대오차와 평균제곱근오차가 6.34와 8.99로 나타났다. 그리고 두 모형을 평가한 결과, 다중회귀 모형과 딥러닝 모형의 평균절대오차는 각각 13.65와 6.44, 평균제곱근오차는 각각 19.10과 9.11로 계산되었다. 이는 딥러닝 모형이 다중회귀 모형과 비교하여 평균절대오차가 52.8%, 평균제곱근오차는 52.3% 감소된 결과이다.

  • In this paper, we improve statistical-model-based speech detector using the probability that a speech occupies a frequency bin. While the previous method assumes speech energy occupies all the frequency components and use them with equal weights in the likelihood ratio test for speech detection, the proposed method assumes speech energy occupies just some frequency componets and use them with different weights in accordance with the probabilities of spectral occupancy in the test. The probability is iteratively up-dated for speech frames to contribute to the likelihood ratio test. The proposed method well reflects the characteristic distribution of speech spectrum, and yields better detection performance.

도시고속도로 교통류 제어전략이 교통안전에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Urban Freeway Traffic Control Strategies on Safety)

  • Based on the traffic and accident data collected on a 4.2km (2.6mile) section of Interstate highway 35W in Minneapolis the relationship between traffic operation variables and safety measures is investigated. An aggregate specification that could be integrated into an urban freeway safety prediction methodology is proposed as a multiple regression model. The specification includes lane occupancy and volume data, which are the control parameters commonly used because they can be measured in real time. The primary variables that appear to affect the safety of urban freeway are : vehicle-miles of travel, entrance ramp volumes and the dynamic effect of queue building. The potential benefits of freeway traffic control strategies on freeway safety are also investigated via a simulation study. It was concluded that improvement of urban freeway safety is achievable by traffic control strategies which homogenize traffic conditions areound critical occupancy values.

장애물 격자지도 기반 가상차선 추정 기법 (A Method for Virtual Lane Estimation based on an Occupancy Grid Map)

  • Navigation in outdoor environments is a fundamental and challenging problem for unmanned ground vehicles. Detecting lane markings or boundaries on the road may be one of the solutions to make navigation easy. However, because of various environments and road conditions, a robust lane detection is difficult. In this paper, we propose a new approach for estimating virtual lanes on a traversable region. Estimating the virtual lanes consist of two steps: (i) we detect virtual road region through road model selection based on traversability at current frame and similarity between the interframe and (ii) we estimate virtual lane using the number of lane on the road and results of previous frame. To improve the detection performance and reduce the searching region of interests, we use a probability map representing the traversability of the outdoor terrain. In addition, by considering both current and previous frame simultaneously, the proposed method estimate more stable virtual lanes. We evaluate the performance of the proposed approach using real data in outdoor environments.

Queueing Theoretic Approach to Playout Buffer Model for HTTP Adaptive Streaming

  • HTTP-based adaptive streaming (HAS) has recently been widely deployed on the Internet. In the HAS system, a video content is encoded at multiple bitrates and the encoded video content is segmented into small parts of fixed durations. The HAS client requests a video segment and stores it in the playout buffer. The rate adaptation algorithm employed in HAS clients dynamically determines the video bitrate depending on the time-varying bandwidth. Many studies have shown that an efficient rate adaptation algorithm is critical to ensuring quality-of-experience in HAS systems. However, existing algorithms have problems estimating the network bandwidth because bandwidth estimation is performed on the client-side application stack. Without the help of transport layer protocols, it is difficult to achieve accurate bandwidth estimation due to the inherent segment-based transmission of the HAS. In this paper, we propose an alternative approach that utilizes the playout buffer occupancy rather than using bandwidth estimates obtained from the application layer. We start with a queueing analysis of the playout buffer. Then, we present a buffer-aware rate adaptation algorithm that is solely based on the mean buffer occupancy. Our simulation results show that compared to conventional algorithms, the proposed algorithm achieves very smooth video quality while delivering a similar average video bitrate.

부산항 컨테이너 물류 시스템의 비용분석에 관하여 (On the Cost Analysis of Container Physical Distribution System in Pusan Port)

  • This paper aims to determining the optimal capacity of Pusan port in view point of Container Physical Distribution cost. It has been established a coast model of the container physical distribution system in Pusan port is composed of 4 sub-systems and in-land transport system. Cargo handling system, transfer & storage system and in-land transport system, and analyzed the cost model of the system. From this analysis, we found that the system had 7 routes including in-land transport by rail or road and coastal transport by feeder ship between Pusan port and cargo owner's door. Though railway transport cost was relatively cheap, but, it was limited to choose railway transport routes due to the introducing of transport cargo allocation practice caused by shortage of railway transport capacity. The physical distribution ost for total import & export container through Pusan port was composed of 4.47% in port entring cost, 12.98% in cargo handling cost, 7.44% in transfer & storage cost and 75.11% in in-land transport cost. Investigation in case of BCTOC verified the results as follows. 1) The optimal level of one time cargo handling was verified 236VAN (377TEU) and annual optimal handling capacity was calculated in 516, 840VAN(826, 944TEU) where berth occupancy is $\rho$=0.6 when regardless of port congestion cost, 2) The optimal level of one time cargo handling was verified 252VAN (403TEU) and annual optimal handling capacity was calculated in 502, 110VAN (803, 376TEU) where berth occupancy is $\rho$=0.58 when considering of port congestion cost.

아파트 브랜드 이미지가 입주만족도에 미치는 영향 분석 (A Study on the Influence of Apartment Brand Image on Occupancy Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 최근 다양한 주거환경과 거주에 따라 생활양식이 변화되고 있는 시점에서 정형화된주거 형태의 보급과 공급에 의존하는 수동적 주거선택의 조건에서 소비자의 선택적 가치가 브랜드가치와 연관성이 있는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 즉, 주거형태에 따라 구매의도와 구매 결정에 영향을 주고 있는 브랜드와 입주만족간의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 주거관련 선행연구를 종합하고 입주만족도에 대한 이론적 연구를 통해 연구모델을 개발하고 연구가설을 설정하여 입주만족도의 주요 요인을 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 첫째 브랜드 가치와 입주만족도와의 관계에 있어서는 통계적으로 유의성이 높게 나타났으며, 둘째 주거형태와의 관계에 있어서는 유의한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 매개변수로 작용하고 있는 경제적 가치와의 관계에 있어서는 어느 정도 유의한 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 아파트 공급자와 수요자와의 관계에 보다 구체적이고 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 유사 연구에 기초적인 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 그러나 통제변수의 선정과 분석적 오차 등의 한계로 향후 연구에서는 보다 종합적이고 타당한 지표개발을 통해 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

클러스터링 방법을 이용한 차종인식 모형 (Recognition Model of the Vehicle Type usig Clustering Methods)

  • 최근에 이르기까지 교통분야에서 차량에 관한 정보를 수집하기 위하여 사용되고 있는 검지쳬계는 유도식 루프검지기 (Inductive Loop Detector,ILD)이다. 유도식 검지기로 부터 수집되는 교통자료는 점유시간(차량이 검지기를 점유한시간)과 비점유시간(통행 차량과 차량간의 시간차)및 교통량이 기초 수집자료가 된다. 특히 점유 시간은 신호의 현시 길이를 결정 및 과포화제어를 위한 대기행렬예측 등 다양한 관제알고리즘에 있어서 핵심적인 자료이므로 높은 신뢰도가 요구된다. 이러한 신뢰도는 검지로 부터 수집될 수 있는 자료들을 토대로 통행 차종을 식별함으로써 향상시킬 수 있으며, 관련 관제 알고리즘의 신뢰도 향상은 물론 최근 관심이 고조되고 있는 무인자동감시 체계 및 교통정보 자동 수집장치의 개발을 유도할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 통행하는 차량들에 대하여 수집 되는 기초자료를 기반으로 인식하기 위한 방법으로 통계적 클러스터링 방법 두 가지와 신경망 클러스터링 방법 등 세가지 방법을 제시하고, 결과로서 무인 자동감시 체계에 관한 활용 방법을 제시한다.

Spatiotemporal chronographical modeling of procurement and material flow for building projects

  • Planning and management building projects should tackle the coordination of works and the management of limited spaces, traffic and supplies. Activities cannot be performed without the resources available and resources cannot be used beyond the capacity of workplaces. Otherwise, workspace congestion will negatively affect the flow of works. Better on-site management allows for substantial productivity improvements and cost savings. The procurement system should be able to manage a wider variety of materials and products of the required quality in order to have less stock, in less time, using less space, with less investment and avoiding multiple storage stations. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the advantages of using the Chronographic modeling, by combining spatiotemporal technical scheduling with the 4D simulations, the Last Planner System and the Takt-time when modeling the construction of building projects. This paper work toward the aforementioned goal by examining the impact that material flow has on site occupancy. The proposed spatiotemporal model promotes efficient site use, defines optimal site-occupancy and workforce-rotation rates, minimizes intermediate stocks, and ensures a suitable procurement process. This paper study the material flow on the site and consider horizontal and vertical paths, traffic flows and appropriate means of transportation to ensure fluidity and safety. This paper contributes to the existing body of knowledge by linking execution and supply to the spatial and temporal aspects. The methodology compare the performance and procurement processes for the proposed Chronographic model with the Gantt-Precedence diagram. Two examples are presented to demonstrate the benefits of the proposed model and to validate the related concepts. This validation is designed to test the model's graphical ability to simulate construction and procurement.
