  • In the field of image processing, a method of detecting and counting passengers as moving objects when getting on and off the bus has been studied. Among these technologies, one of the artificial intelligence techniques, the deep learning technique is used. As another method, a method of detecting an object using a stereo vision camera is also used. However, these techniques require expensive hardware equipment because of the computational complexity of used to detect objects. However, most video equipments have a significant decrease in computational processing power, and thus, in order to detect passengers on the bus, there is a need for an image processing technology suitable for various equipment using a relatively low computational technique. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a technique that can efficiently obtain the number of passengers on the bus by detecting the contour of the object through the background subtraction suitable for low-cost equipment. Experiments have shown that passengers were counted with approximately 70% accuracy on lower-end machines than those equipped with stereo vision camera.

  • In the field of surveillance cameras, it is possible to increase the people detection accuracy by using depth information indicating the distance between the camera and the object. In general, depth information is obtained by calculating the parallax information of the stereo camera. However, this method is difficult to operate in real time in the embedded environment due to the large amount of computation. Jetson TX2, released by NVIDIA in March 2017, is a high-performance embedded board with a GPU that enables parallel processing using the GPU. In this paper, a stereo camera is installed in Jetson TX2 to acquire depth information in real time, and we proposed a people counting method using acquired depth information. Experimental results show that the proposed method had a counting accuracy of 98.6% and operating in real time.

  • We present a new digital phase measuring method for heterodyne optical interferometry, which providers high measuring speed up to 6 m/s with a fine displacement resolution of 0.1 nanometer. The key idea is combining two distinctive digital phase measuring techniques with mutually complementary characteristics to earth other one is counting the Doppler shift frequency counting with 20 MHz beat frequency for high-velocity measurement and the other is the synchronous phase demodulation with 2.0 kHz beat frequency for extremely fine displacement resolution. The two techniques are operated in switching mode in accordance wish the object speed in a synchronized way. Experimental results prove that the proposed dual mode phase measuring scheme is realized with a set of relatively simple electronic circuits of beat frequency shifting, heterodyne phase detection. and low-pass filtering.

  • Recent C ++ developers take advantage of the many advantages in memory management in the development of reference counting smart pointer. However, these have a problem more than the normal pointer. In this paper, we not only complement these by reference counting smart pointer which pointing a large dynamic object to perform a delete operation to improve performance by creating a thread for the delete operation but also Generalize all data types, we propose a convenient way to operate.

  • This paper describes an implementation method for the 'People Counting System' which detects and tracks moving people using a fixed single camera. This system proposes the method of improving performances by compensating weakness of existing algorithm. For increasing effect of detection, this system uses Single Gaussian Background Modeling which is more robust at noise and has adaptiveness. It minimizes unnecessarily detected area that is a limitation of the detecting method by using the background differences. And this system prevents additional detecting problems by removing shadow. Also, This system solves the problems of segmentation and union of people by using a new method. This method can work appropriately, if the angle of camera would not strictly vertical or the direction of shadow were lopsided. Also, by using integration System, it can solve a number of special cases as many as possible. For example, if the system fails to tracking, it will detect the object again and will make it possible to count moving people.

  • Recently, with the rapid development of image recognition technology, the demand for object analysis in road CCTV videos is increasing. In this paper, we propose a method that can adaptively find the counting line for traffic analysis in road CCTV videos. First, vehicles on the road are detected, and the corresponding positions of the detected vehicles are modeled as the two-dimensional pointwise Gaussian map. The paths of vehicles are estimated by accumulating pointwise Gaussian maps on successive video frames. Then, we apply clustering and linear regression to the accumulated Gaussian map to find the principal direction of the road, which is highly relevant to the counting line. Experimental results show that the proposed method for detecting the counting line is effective in various situations.

  • This paper proposed the content-based retrieval system as a method for performing image retrieval through the effective feature extraction of the object of significant meaning based on the characteristics of man's visual system. To allow the object region of interest to be primarily detected, the region, being comparatively large size, greatly different from the background color and located in the middle of the image, was judged as the major object with a meaning. To get the original features of the image, the cumulative sum of tile declination difference vector the segment of the object contour had and the signature of the bipartite object were extracted and used in the form of being applied to the rotation of the object and the change of the size after partition of the total length of the object contour of the image into the normalized segment. Starting with this form feature, it was possible to make a retrieval robust to any change in translation, rotation and scaling by combining information on the texture sample, color and eccentricity and measuring the degree of similarity. It responded less sensitively to the phenomenon of distortion of the object feature due to the partial change or damage of the region. Also, the method of imposing a different weight of similarity on the image feature based on the relationship of complexity between measured objects using the fractal dimension by the Boxing-Counting Dimension minimized the wrong retrieval and showed more efficient retrieval rate.

  • We propose a moving object extraction and tracking method for improvement of animal identification and tracking technology. First, we propose a method of merging separated moving objects into a moving object by using FCM (Fuzzy C-Means) clustering algorithm to solve the problem of moving object loss caused by moving object extraction process. In addition, we propose a method of extracting data from a moving object and a method of counting moving objects to determine the number of clusters in order to satisfy the conditions for performing FCM clustering algorithm. Then, we propose a method to continuously track merged moving objects. In the proposed method, color histograms are extracted from feature information of each moving object, and the histograms are continuously accumulated so as not to react sensitively to noise or changes, and the average is obtained and stored. Thereafter, when a plurality of moving objects are overlapped and separated, the stored color histogram is compared with each other to correctly recognize each moving object. Finally, we demonstrate the feasibility and applicability of the proposed algorithms through some experiments.
