Public health oriental medical doctor has played a great role in providing oriental medical treatment and oriental medical health program with public health medical services, the basic infrastructure, however, is not sufficient. In this study, the researcher surveyed the treatment working or service condition of public health oriental medical doctor. 1. The payment, allowance of doctors are fixed upon the law and guideline according to the financial status of local government. The branch of public health center has more support like an official residence with expenses. 2. The public health center mainly has assitants and ratio of full-timer is more than the branch public health center without any assistants if any, they are temporary employee 3. The public health center has 5.22 beds while the branch has 3.14 beds. The daily average number of patient for public health center is 15.01 while the branch has 8.7 More than half of outpatients are over sixties with musculoskeletal disease. 4. Regarding the traveling clinic, the public health center put into more operation than the branch. The 3rd year serving public doctor gives negative about the traveling clinic much more than 1st and 2nd year serving public doctor. The treatment service condition of public doctor of the public health center is better than the branch doctor, but we are on the point of role-changing as health promotion and preventive treatment to bring up motivation, education and competence strengthening for execution the local-bound health program.
Objectives: The objective of the study was to resolve various elements of conflict by presenting the results of the study and to help build an enhanced oriental medical service system. Methods: The researcher collected data from 12/15/2006 to 1/31/2007. A total of 1000 questionnaires were sent out to oriental medical doctors working at oriental medical facilities and the 15% (150 questionnaires) of them that were returned completed were analyzed. Results: 1. As to the proper proportion of oriental medical doctors to western medical doctors, they said it should be less than 20%. About separating the task of prescribing oriental medicine (herb) from oriental medical treatment, 80.7% of them were against it. 98.7% said oriental medical doctors needed the control of medical technicians. 2. 72.3% said they had no intention of taking the U.S. NCCAOM board to practice oriental medicine overseas. A majority (57.7%) were in favor of unifying oriental medical license with western medical license. 3. Oriental medical doctors had greater job satisfaction [than all oriental medical doctors number]. If they were to choose another occupation than oriental medicine they would consider becoming a research fellow above all other occupations. If they were to reenter college, they said they would probably choose oriental medical school. However, the choice of reentering oriental medical school was lower than that of western medical school. Conclusion: This study has also statistically determined the current issues that may pose conflicting views on the part of the respondents. A periodic study such as this one will hopefully aid in establishing policies for oriental medicine.

Currently in increasing number of urban tunnels with small overburden are excavated according to the principle of the New Austrian Tunneling Method(NATM). Successful design, construction and maintenance of NATM tunnel demands prediction, control and monitoring of ground displacement and support stress high accuracy. A magnetic anisotropy sensor is used for non-destructive measurement of stress on surfaces of a ferromagnetic material, such as steel. The sensor is built on the principle of the magneto-strictive effect in which changes in magnetic permeability due to deformation of a ferromagnetic material is measured in a non-destructive manner, which then can be translated into the absolute values of stresses existing on the surface of the material. This technique was applied to measure stresses of H-beams, used as tunnel support structures, to confirm expected measurement accuracy with reading error of about 10 to 20MPa, which was confirmed by monitoring strains released during cutting tests The results show that this method could be one of the promising technologies for non-destructive stress measurement for safe construction and maintenance of underground rock structures encountered in civil and mining engineering.
Purpose : This study is non-equivalent control group pre-post design attempted to see 'The effect of spiritual nursing intervention on the meaning of life and spiritual distress of the terminal cancer patients.' Method : The data collection was performed from June to October, 2004. The subjects were 41 terminal cancer patients of one general hospital in Jeon Ju city. They are formed two groups, 20 experimental group and 21 control group. Experimental treatment provided spiritual nursing intervention 3 times per a week, the mean 45 minutes each, for 4 weeks for experimental group with the contents of therapeutical use of oneself, use of bible, use of hymn, use of prayer, depend on the priest in the spiritual need assessment of 6 kinds. Study tools was used the thing which Kim(1990) developed about purpose inspection of life which Crumbaugh(1968) developed to measure the meaning of life. The measure of spiritual distress was used the tool which Kim(1990) developed, spiritual nursing intervention was developed by researcher of this thesis. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics of real number, percentage, the mean etc. and x2-test, t-test, ANCOVA. Result: The 1st hypothesis, 'spiritual the meaning of life score in the experimental group, who received the spiritual nursing intervention, will be higher than the control group who did not receive it' was supported(F=157.09, P=0.000) The 2nd hypothesis, 'spiritual distress score in the experimental group, who received the spiritual nursing intervention, will be lower than the control group who did not receive it' was supported(F=36.48, P=0.000) Conclusion: Spiritual nursing intervention was verified as an effective program to improve the meaning of life and decrease spiritual distress for the terminal cancer patients. Thus, it was confirmed with an effective nursing intervention which helps them in order to spend the rest time of life meaningfully and meet the peaceful death.
As the number of buildings that use the transparent permeation materials as the outer wall is on the increase, the coming amount of the light rays is a lot, and thus the increase in the cooling load and the radiant heat of high temperature may cause the residents to discomfort. In order to reduce such influences, this paper analyzed the installation effects of the sunshade BIPV. The inner temperature of the room installed the sunshade BIPV or otherwise was measured, and compared and analyzed the effects of reducing the cooling load by the incoming light rays. The sample space of the third floor of S university installed the sunshade BIPV has two rooms on the same conditions, and for five sunny days selected in August, the researcher measured the air temperature and the temperature of the fittings with closing the windows to minimize the movement of air without operating the coolers. The maximum cooling load measured by the incoming light rays in the room where the sunshade BIPV was not installed was examined as 459.13kcal/h. It can be understood as the effect of reducing the cooling load according to the incoming rays of the room with sunshade BIPV. Even though the effect of cooling load reduction is not so great in a room, the total reduction in cooling room for the 32 rooms installed the sunshade BIPV was estimated to be 40442.27kcal/day, which will be able to bring the maximum reduction effect of 17.1kW in energy and reduce the investment cost owing to the reduction in cooling load when initially designing the building.

This study was conducted to analyze the nursing diagnoses applied for case studies of nursing students through their clinical practices, and to provide the educational basis of nursing diagnoses with its results. The data were collected for two years(1995 and 1996) from 70 case studies reported by the 2nd and 3rd year nursing junior college students. The students made 259 nursing diagnoses among which 230 diagnoses qualified NANDA classification and were taken for analysis. The results of the analysis were as follows : 1. The number of diagnoses indicating response patterns was 35(35.7%), whereas 98 diagnoses in NANDA table. Among the 35 diagnoses, the pattern of exchange was most frequent, then feeling, moving, knowing in rank. 2. The diagnoses were analyzed in the categories of response patterns. For Instance, 'Altered in Nutrition' was most frequent in exhange, then Risk for Infection', 'Ineffective Airway Clearance', in rank. 3. Among 230 diagnoses, 'Knowle Deficit' was most frequently mentioned, then 'Activity Intolerance' 'Anxiety', 'Pain', 'Altered in Nutrition', 'Risk for Infection', 'Ineffective airway clearance', in rank. 4. The types of word expression of each diagnoses were various. 'Activity Intolerance' was expressed in 6 types. 5. The relating factors applied to each diagnosis were analyzed. For Instance, the relating factor of 'Knowledge Deficit' were illness, and therapeutic process, lack of motivation, occurrance of complication, short experience, operation, and so on. From the above study, the researcher would like to recommend as follows : 1) The current diagnoses need to be verified its content validity, when they are applied to our culture. 2) The most effective educational method for applying nursing diagnoses should be explored. 3) Further study could be focused on not only 'relating factors' but also 'sign and symptoms'.

The purposel of this study was to examine the effects which the direct and the indirect instructions at a Home Economics class have on improving the learning achievements and attitudes. To accomplish these goals. 90 students. the number of two classes of the first tirade at p high school at Anyang city of Kyonggi province were selected. They are composed of the experimental group and the comparative group. Each group contained 40 students. The former was implemented by indirect instructions and the latter direct instructions. The 'Family and Domestic Life' unit of the first tirade was selected as the study subject to take effects and 30 periods of class were enforced. For the experimental measure of this study. the researcher used a pre-learning test. a learning attitude test. and a learning achievement test as means of measure. The two groups were confirmed as the group having the same quality, So after the experimental measure, the results of the post tests(included a learning achievement test and a learning attitude test) were verified by T-test in order to research the problematic subject. and SPSS/win statistics package was used for the processing of the statistics. The results are following: 1. The direct and the indirect instructions represented the meaningful differences in the learning achievements (p <.05). They represented the meaningful differences in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding(p <.05). It was verified that the (order is more effective than the latter in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding, and They represented the meaningful differences in the improving learning achievements of application (p <.05) 2. They represented the meaningful differences in the learning attitudes at a domestic class(p <.05) The latter is more effective than the former in changing into the positive learning attitudes. In the light of these result7. the direct instructions are effective in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding. and the indirect instructions are effective in improving the learning achievements of application. Also the indirect instructions are more effective than the direct instructions in changing into the positive learning attitude.
The purpose of this study was to develop prevention and educational programs for battered women. The first stage was to assess battered women's health status and health needs. The second stage was to develop prevention and educational programs to improve battered women's health. A survey research design was used to gather data from June-November 1999 by the counselor. Research sample was recruited from shelter and women's counseling centers in Seoul, Inchon, Chooncheon, Taejeon, and Jeoju. Trained counselors contacted 218 women, who agreed verbally to participate in the study. The researcher did a literature review and developed the tool used. We did ten pretests and three counselors checked the tool for content validity. The reliability and validity of the instrument were acceptable. The second stage of the research consisted of lay-professional groups discussing the abuse problems and possible solutions. Each group had five professionals (counsellor, nurse, minister, psychiatrist, social worker) and five women who have experienced battering from her husband in community. Result of the survey and two(lay persons and professionals) group discussions showed that victims need more assessment of physical, mental and spiritual needs. Victims were beaten more often during their pregnancies than at other times. Various kind of strategy were frequently utilized, but still the number of women abused and suicides committed increased. Both studies showed that the women experienced severe beating, that they felt powerless, that they need to understand that society abuser characteristics, that they lack a protection support system and that society lacks would an understanding of battered women. Based on the result of both studies, we developed model for prevention and education of battered women. This educational program will increase women s power to solve the abuse problems. The ultimate goal of the program is to develop a one-stop center to give wholistic approach care to women in abuse situations.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to review and analyze the trends in prospective clinical research (PCR), project, clinical study protocol of Korean medicine (KM) for dementia. Methods: We searched PCRs of KM on dementia in six electronical databases, up to January 28, 2021. Moreover, the clinical research protocol and projects of KM for dementia were searched. Results: Total eight PCRs, nine projects, and three clinical study protocols were included. In the PCRs, there were one randomized controlled trial, five before and after study, and two comparative group before-after studies. Four of them used herbal medicine, two used acupuncture, one study used both herbal medicine and acupuncture, and the other one used moxibustion. Jowiseungchung-tang was the most frequently used herbal medicine. BL62, KI6 were used in electro-acupuncture, auricular-Shenmen in auricular acupuncture, and GV20 in moxibustion. The most frequent outcome was Korean-Dementia Rating Scale (K-DRS). One reported significant increase in K-DRS score, one reported 60% improvement, and the other studies mostly reported no significant difference. In the projects including 20 clinical studies of dementia, herbal medicine, integrative medicine and acupuncture were mainly used. In the protocols, herbal medicine, complex KM intervention, and integrative medicine were used. Conclusions: Currently, the number of PCRs of KM for dementia is very scarce. Therefore, the researcher's interest in this field and national research support should be made more, and the quality of clinical research in the future can be further improved by supplementing the limitations of previously published clinical research.
Objectives : The aim of this study is to analyze the news articles related to Korean Medicine(KM) and compare trends in news reports from 2018 to 2022. Method : News articles related to KM were collected through the BigKinds, the news bigdata service of the Korea Press Foundation. News reports from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2022 were searched. 2,950 news articles out of a total of 12,497 met the inclusion criteria. First, quantitative changes in media coverage were analyzed by year, media outlet, and month. For qualitative analysis, two authors independently coded the content of news articles, discussed them until consensus, and consulted with a third researcher to classify them. In addition, keywords extracted by the BigKind's Topic Rank algorithm were compared and analyzed in each year. Results : The number of news articles on KM decreased by 42% in 2022 compared to 2018. Over a fiveyear period, the Naeil Shinmun reported the most on KM among newspapers, while the Hankyoreh did the least. Among broadcasters, YTN reported the most and SBS did the least. When analyzing the reports by category, the most common was 'treatment', followed by 'prevention' and 'scientification'. As a result of extracting keywords with high weight and frequency, 'immunity' and 'immune system' ranked the first and second in 2018, while 'COVID 19' and 'medical law violation' did in 2022. Conclusion : The decrease in media reports on KM during the COVID-19 epidemic period seems to be due to the limited role of KM in responding to infectious diseases, and efforts to expand the scope of KM can induce increased media reports and social interest.
