The Chiroptical Properties and Absolute Configuration of 28-nor-$\beta$-amyrins

  • The existence in nature of two isomers of 28-nortriterpenes is known. One is normal D/E cis form and the other is $17\alpha$-hydrogen D/E trans form. Since the latter cannot exist with ring D in the chair conformation, the chiroptical method is not applicable to determination of the absolute configuration. The stereochemical assignment would now be made by NMR data. Confirmation of this view could be provided by the synthesis of $3\beta, 21\beta-{dihydroxy-16-keto-28-nor-17}\alpha, \;18\beta-{olean-12-ene}$ as a model compound.

  • We obtain the general moment of non-central Wishart distribu-tion, using the J-th moment of a matrix quadratic form and the 2J-th moment of the matrix normal distribution. As an example, the second moment and kurtosis of non-central Wishart distribution are also investigated.

  • Mechanical buckling of a rectangular functionally graded plate is obtained in the current paper using a refined higher-order shear and normal deformation theory. The impact of transverse normal strain is considered. The material properties are microscopically inhomogeneous and vary continuously based on a power law form in spatial direction. Navier's procedure is applied to examine the mechanical buckling behavior of a simply supported FG plate. The mechanical critical buckling subjected to uniaxial and biaxial compression loads are determined. The numerical investigation are compared with the numerical results in the literature. The influences of geometric parameters, power law index and different loading conditions on the critical buckling are studied.

  • An incomplete factorization method for preconditioning symmetric positive definite matrices is introduced to solve normal equations. The normal equations are form to solve linear least squares problems. The procedure is based on a block incomplete Cholesky factorization and a multilevel recursive strategy with an approximate Schur complement matrix formed implicitly. A diagonal perturbation strategy is implemented to enhance factorization robustness. The factors obtained are used as a preconditioner for the conjugate gradient method. Numerical experiments are used to show the robustness and efficiency of this preconditioning technique, and to compare it with two other preconditioners.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate two different kinds of socks on physiological responses at an ambient temperature of 35$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity of 50$\pm$5% Five healthy women wearing normal socks or toes socks participated as the subjects. Rectal temperature skin temperatures sweat rate blood pressure pulse rate and questionnaire wee measured. Rectal temperature skin temperature sweat rate blood pressure pulse rate and questionnaire were measured. Rectal temperature and mean skin temperature were lower after exercise at wearing toes socks . Sweat rate was higher at wearing normal socks and blood pressure and pulse rate were tend to higher at wearing toes socks. Thermal comfort temperature sensation and humidity sensation were better wearing toes socks. Thermal comfort temperature sensation and humidity sensation were better wearing toes socks than wearing normal socks but wearing comfort was better at wearing normal socks. These results will be discussed form the viewpoint of thermoregulation AVA(Arterio venous Anastomosis) and count current heat exchange.

  • This paper presents new hardware implementation of the ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography) algorithm that is improved in speed and stability. We proposed new datapath that changed square's position so that we can reduce required number of cycles for addition operation between two points by more than 30%. We used Massey-Omura parallel multiplier adopted Normal basis for fast scalar multiplications. Also the use of the window non-adjacent form (WNAF) method can reduce addition operation of each other different points. We implemented ECC system with GF($2^{196}$), and this system was designed and verified by VHDL.

  • Osteoporosis is the most common form of metabolic bone disease and is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in the elderly and especially in postmenopausal women. The possible beneficial action of essential fatty acids and their metabolites both in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis needs attention. Therefore in this study, fatty acid levels of the normal groups was compared with those of patients. And then star symbol plots were drawn based on the fatty acids values of patients normalized to the corresponding normal group values to transform into visual patterns discriminating from the normal pattern. Strength prediction of steady laminar fluid with normal velocity distribution: A simplified truncation technique

  • In this paper, the analytic solution has been found by using truncation approach. With the help of suitable substitution, different physical parameters are yielded in their non-dimensional form. The governing boundary layer partial differential equations are reduced to a set of ordinary ones by using appropriate similarity transformations. The velocity profile across the domain have also been taken into account. The effect normal velocity profiles buoyancy parameter, slip parameter, shrinking parameter, Casson fluid parameter on the heat profile. It is found that the normal velocity profiles rise with the buoyancy parameter and for the slip parameter. It is observed that the normal velocity profile decreases with the increase of shrinking parameter. The reverse behiour is found for the Casson fluid parameter. The results are numerically computed, analyzed and discussed. For the efficiency of present model, the results are compared with earlier investigations.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study tried to present the performed average and range through systematic review about assessment tools that measures the praxis ability of sensory integrative function for foreign and domestic normal children. Methods: With making use of Medline, PubMed, Ovid, Eric, the Library of Congress, National Science and Technology Information Center, Kiss, RISS, and the Google search engine, we searched the name of assessment tool on the basis of the framework of the theory of sensory integration. Target paper was thesis and Journal published from January 2000 to April 2011. Results: Total of 24 papers were retrieved, used assessment tools were Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOTMP), Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Short Form (BOTMP-SF), Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition (BOT-2), Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition, Short Form (BOT-2-SF), Clinical Observations of Motor and Postural Skills (COMPS), Motor Assessment Battery for Children (MABC), Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction with Balance (CTSIB), and subtest of Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT). We presented the average and range of assessment tools applied to normal children in each country. Conclusion: A performed result in other cultural and domestic normal children which this study presented will provide a standard in comparison with performance of children with disabilities who are the actual clinical evaluation.
