알지네이트-젤라틴/실크 습식부직포 제조 및 특성 연구 (Preparation and Characterization of Alginate-gelatin/silk Wet-laid Nonwoven Fabric)

  • In this study, alginate-gelatin/silk wet-laid nonwoven fabrics were prepared by using alginate gelatin fiber and silk fiber, as the main fiber, and PVA fiber as binder fiber. The characterization of pore size and mechanical property was carried out on the various weight ratios of alginate gelatin fiber and silk fibers, or the adding binder fibers. As the content of silk or binder fiber increases, the tensile strength increases from 0.70 kgf/㎠ to 5.08 kgf/㎠ and the pore size decreases 111.6 ㎛ to 51.00 ㎛. As the weight of the silk increased, the density increased, and binder fiber was added to enhance the cohesion between fibers, thereby increasing the wet-laid nonwoven fabric strength. We studied on wet-laid nonwoven fabrics that can be applied to mask sheet with adjustable pore size.

리오셀직물의 심지접착에 따른 외관적 성능 및 역학적 특성(II) (The Effect of Fusible Interlining on the Appearance related Properties & Mechanical Characteristics of the Lyocell Fabrics(II))

  • In this work, the effect of fusible interlining on the appearance related properties and mechanical characteristics of Lyocell fabric after fusing was investigated. Two different types(20's and 10's) of Lyocell face fabric with six different interlining(by thickness and structure) for earth Lyocell fabric were examined. In order to establish the optimum fusing condition for the different face fabric and interlining, peel strength of each fused fabric was measured, which was dependent on the fusing temperature, pressure, and time. The characteristics related appearance and mechanical characteristics of each fused fabric were determined. The results are as follows: The peel strength was excellent, when the fabric was fused with the force of 3kgf/$textrm{cm}^2$ at $120^{\circ}C$ for 15seconds. Flex stiffness, G, 2HG, 2HG5(shear), B, 2HB(bending) of 100% Lyocell fabric 10's were higher than those of 100% Lyocell 20's. Flex stiffness, crease recovery, G, 2HG, B, 2HB of thicker woven interlining were higher than those of thinner woven interlining. Crease recovery of twill interlining were higher than those of plain interlining. In case of shear and bending properties, however, plain interlining was higher than twill interlining. Flex stiffness, crease recovery, G, 2HG, 2HG5, B, 2HB of nonwoven interlining were higher than those of woven interlining. In case of drapability, however, woven interlining was higher than nonwoven interlining.

자생 숙근초화 및 바닥재의 종류가 뗏장 형성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Several Korean Native Wild Perennial Flowers and Kinds of Basal Sheets on Sod Formation)

  • 숙근초화의 뗏장 생산에 적합한 초종과 바닥재를 선발하기 위해서 동자꽃, 톱풀, 큰꿩의비름, 섬기린초 등 자생식물 10종을 포함한 숙근초화류 14종의 뗏장 형성여부를 살펴보았다. 1. 재식장소에 따라서는 일반적으로 포트에 이식하여 노지에 정식하였을 경우보다 바크(bark)에 정식하였을 때 생육이 좋은 경향이었다. 2. 사용 바닥재의 종류에 따라서는 일반적으로 부직포에서 지면을 완전 피복할 때까지 걸리는 소요일수가 짧아지며, 뗏장형성능력이 좋았다. 특히 황마를 바닥재로 사용하였을 경우에는 기판이 부패하여 바크와 뿌리의 결속력이 크게 떨어지는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 3. 백리향, 좀씀바귀, 땅채송화, 바위채송화 등 포복성식물들은 꿩의비름, 애기개미취 섬쑥부쟁이 등의 직립성 초종에 비해 초고가 낮고 피복성이 좋은 것으로 나타났다.

아크릴산 그라프트 폴리프로필렌 부직포의 제조와 특성 (Preparation and Characterization of Acrylic Acid Grafted Polypropylene Nonwoven Fabric)

  • The purpose of this study is in development of effective filter-type polymer adsorbent for removal of pollutants from wastewater by UV irradiation graft polymerization. Photografting of acrylic acid (AA) on polypropylene (PP) nonwoven fabric using benzophenone (BP) as a photosensitizer was investigated. Inhibition of homopolymerization was achieved by adding various concentrations of $FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$, $CuSO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$ and Mohr's salt. As AA concentration was increased, the degree of grafting was increased as to a specific value and then decreased, and the effect of BP concentration showed the same tendency. It was also found that the degree of grafting increased with reaction time and reaction temperature. Addition of the polyfunctional monomers and $H_2SO_4$ to the grafting system accelerated the photografting. The melting temperature, molecular weight and breaking stress and breaking strain were decreased with the increase in the degree of grafting.

  • Photografting of styrene (St) on polypropylene (PP) nonwoven fabric using benzoin ethyl ether (BEE) as a photosensitizer was investigated.   • The combined waterproofing method is an excellent method to overcome the disadvantages of the single waterproofing method by composing two or more materials to complement each other, but it is a method that can cause defects such as separation and peeling between materials due to the heterogeneity of the applied two materials. In order to improve this, in this study, we aimed to develop a technology for inducing chemical unification between materials through a urea reaction with a coating material applied on the lower side by laminating a nonwoven fabric treated with a modified amine on the back surface of the sheet material, The adhesion performance test was carried out with the presence or absence of denatured amine treated nonwovens as variables. As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the adhesion performance of the specimen to which the modified amin - treated nonwoven fabric was applied was improved by about 60% or more as compared with the specimens not having the denatured amine treated specimen.

부직포를 이용한 생울타리 소재 규격생산화의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Research on the Standardized Production of Hedge Materials Using Nonwoven Fabric Containers)

  • This study was conducted to investigate methods to overcome serious problems in hedge making. The growth response of Enonymus japonica was investigated, using different sizes of nonwoven fabric containers. Changes of shoot length, fresh weight and chlorophyll contents were measured a period of growth in each size of container. The results of this study are as follows; 1) The maximum growth of shoot length in all treatments was observed in May and August. The significant difference was found in the smaller size of container containing a less amount of soil than the control. 2) The soil amount of rhizosphere for the production of a standardized hedge seemed to be over 2,400-3,600㎤ per plant. 3) The depth of containers had a greater influence on growth of shoot length than the width of containers. 4) The fresh weight in 40cm width containers and 30$\times$20cm containers was similar to the control, but the rest of the containers showed significant difference compared with the control. 5) A significant difference of chlorophyll content was found in A, B, C, D and G treatment but I treatment did not show significant difference at the 5% level.

Frictional Characteristics of Woven and Nonwoven Wipes

  • Demand for the fabric wipes is growing continuously. Wipes in industry are used for cleaning purpose. Cleaning involves rubbing action, so it is very important to know how much frictional force is encountered during the cleaning action. In this study the effects of normal load, sliding speed on frictional characteristics of nonwoven and woven wipes, both dry and wetted with different liquids, against glass and floor tile surfaces have been reported. With the increase in the normal load the coefficient of friction goes on decreasing for both nonwoven and woven wipes and this trend is observed in both dry and wet wipes. The coefficient of friction of both nonwoven and woven wipes against glass surface is in general higher than the floor tile surface. The wipes wetted with water shows an increase in coefficient of friction as compared to dry sample, but there is reduction in the coefficient of friction when the wipe samples are wetted with vegetable oil. In case of dry wipes, the coefficient of friction in case of nonwoven wipe is higher than the woven wipe. In case of woven wipes, the ranges of coefficient of friction either due to change in liquid type, normal load or sliding speed are in general smaller than that in case of nonwoven fabrics.

  • The production of nonwoven fabrics from natural fibers is already expanding at an industrial level for simple curvature semi-structural part in the automotive industry. To develop their use for technical applications, this paper provides an experimental study of the mechanical behavior of flax-fiber nonwoven preforms. A comparison between different sets of carded needle-punched nonwoven has been used to study the influence of manufacturing parameters such as fibers' directions, the area and the needle punching densities. We have found that the anisotropy observed between both directions can be reduced depending on these parameters. Furthermore, this work investigates the possibility to form double curvature parts such as a hemisphere as well as a more complex shape such as a square box which possesses four triple curvature points. We propose a forming process adapted to the features of the nonwoven structure. The purpose is to determine their behavior under high stress during various forming settings. The preforming tests allowed us to observe in real time the manufacturing defects as well as the high deformability potential of flax nonwoven.
