  • In the recent era of diversity and grobal competition, it is very important to notice that we need a new paradigm, where and should cooperate with each other. In particular, for the area of furniture, industry must strategically adopt a new design in order to improve product's competition, and also university as an education institute ought to provide with good designers for development of furniture. For this purpose, it is essential for and (University> to cooperate with each other in all areas, and it is necessary to maximize the activity in This cooperation is again emphasized in the view that design without production or production without design is nonsense. We have to go beyond and escape from narrow concept of education in only university and production in only industry. It is required for all of us to have the common consensus that what we have to do now for our future is to construct the system of cooperation between and

  • There is renewed interest in natural products as a starting point for discovery of drugs for schistosomiasis. Recent studies have shown that phytol reveals interesting in vivo and in vitro antischistosomal properties against Schistosoma mansoni adult worms. Here, we report the in vitro antischistosomal activity of phytol against Schistosoma haematobium juvenile and adult worms and alterations on the tegumental surface of the worms by means of scanning electron microscopy. The assay, which was carried out with 6 concentrations (25, 50, 75, 100, 125, and $150{\mu}g/ml$) of phytol, has shown a promising activity in a dose and time-dependent manner. There was a significant decline in the motility of the worms and a mortality rate of 100% was found at 48 hr after they had been exposed to phytol in the concentration of $150{\mu}g/ml$. Male worms were more susceptible. On the ultrastructural level, phytol also induced tegumental peeling, disintegration of tubercles and spines in addition to morphological disfiguring of the oral and ventral suckers. This report provides the first evidence that phytol is able to kill S. haematobium of different ages, and emphasizes that it is a promising natural product that could be used for development of a new schistosomicidal agent.

  • The national boundary's meanings turn to weak according to advent of Global enterprises. The place for design a product and marketing are separated to actual market. R&D is to the area where the knowledge activity is well, and low skilful product assembling is to the place the low wage is acceptable. It shows that the importance of net work structure. From early 90's, production system is diversified to markets where with the consumer as the central as multifarious items and creation new demands through consumer's participation into manufacturing process. This phenomenon show that logistics structures adapt to demand of technical variation, and the development of e-business with VAN(:value added network) and EDI(:Electronic data interchange) prove it. This study tried to analyze utilitarian assay about systems those land, sea, air logistics through documents research, and this study also present the direction of logistics system of airline company and goal of development on the based to the model of domestic airline company accordingly.

  • This study developed a new yanggaeng(red bean sweet jelly) by adding Peucedanum japonicum powder from 5% to 20%. It has been evaluated its physicochemical, sensory characteristics and antioxidant activity. The DPPH radical scavenging activity of Peucedanum japonicum powder was 40.53% and the total phenolic compound content was 13.36 mg/100 g. Moisture content of yanggaeng with Peucedanum japonicum powder added 5~15% was 50.24~48.32% significantly higher than in the control group(p<0.05). The hardness of yanggaeng was $2,748.25g/m^2$in control and the PY5 and PY10 were $4,012.05g/m^2$ and $4,019.40g/m^2$ respectively, significantly higher than control(p<0.05). However, when the amount of Peucedanum japonicum powder was increased by more than a certain rate, it decreased again, as $2,155.39g/m^2$ in PY20. As a result of the acceptance test of the yanggaeng, the flavor of yanggaeng with Peucedanum japonicum powder was evaluated significantly higher than control(p<0.05), but PY20 was 5.20 not significantly difference with PY10. The overall acceptance of the yanggaeng showed the lowest value of 4.00 in the control, PY15 showed significantly high value as 7.80(p<0.05). Compared with the control, the acceptance of samples with Peucedanum japonicum powder 5~15% was higher than that of control. It was concluded that 10% and 15% of the Peucedanum japonicum powder could be added for the development of the yanggaeng. According to the above study result, to enhance the utilization of Peucedanum japonicum for developing functional food would be possible, and a new yanggaeng product by adding Peucedanum japonicum would have good potential.

  • The results of the content of total polyphenol and flavonoid, DPPH (1-1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl) radical scavenging activity, ABTS [2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid)] radical scavenging activity, nitrite scavenging activity and SOD-like activity of methanol extracts from immature cotton boll are follows. The contents of total polyphenol and flavonoid compound were higher in small size cotton boll, and DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activity also showed a relatively high activity in the small size. These results indicate that there is a correlation between phenol content and DPPH radical scavenging, ABTS radical scavenging. The test concentrations of immature cotton boll extract for measuring DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities were set as 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mg/ml. Immature cotton boll has high radical scavenging activity at the concentration of 1.25~20 mg/ml and the result showed a tendency to increase in a concentration-dependent. The nitrite scavenging activity showed high activity in the pH 1.2, and the result in the pH 4.2 showed progressively less active, and in the pH 6.0 near neutral was confirmed that does not affect the nitrite scavenging. In addition, SOD-like activity showed somewhat lower activity compared with ascorbic acid, but tended to be higher when compared with the results of the other natural substances. Through this experiment, we confirmed that immature cotton boll was excellent antioxidant activity. Therefore, it is demonstrated that the cotton suggest the possibility of development of new material for cosmetic product or functional food in the future, and is expected to make a greater usability.

  • Development of garlic processing products by thermal treatment and researched biological activity of a new product, red garlic. Red garlic MeOH extract was graduated by solvents, such as hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol, and water, in order. Each solvent fraction was dried by a rotary evaporator and then resolved in water for analysis of its antioxidant and antiobesity activity. Browning compounds of red garlic fractions were the highest in the chloroform fraction. Total phenolic compounds and flavonoid content were highest in the hexane fraction. The chloroform fraction showed significantly higher activity in DPPH, ABTS radical scavenging activity, and antioxidant activity by FRAP. We propose that the antioxidant activity of the solvent fractions from red garlic was revealed interaction of browning compounds, total phenolic compounds, and flavonoids. Due to the higher activity of the shown fraction, the hexane and the chloroform fractions were have high contents of these compounds. Below $500{\mu}g/ml$, pancreatic lipase inhibition activity was significantly increased by sample concentration. And chloroform fraction, have the highest inhibition activity was shown over the 40%. In 3T3-L1 cells, the lipid accumulation inhibition activity was lower in the hexane and in the chloroform fraction than in the other fractions.

  • The development of drug resistance is one of the most severe concerns of malaria control because it increases the risk of malaria morbidity and death. A new candidate drug with antiplasmodial activity is urgently needed. This study evaluated the efficacy of different dosages of aqueous extract of Strychnos ligustrina combined with dihydroartemisinin and piperaquine phosphate (DHP) against murine Plasmodium berghei infection. The BALB/c mice aged 6-8 weeks were divided into 6 groups, each consisting of 10 mice. The growth inhibition of compounds against P. berghei was monitored by calculating the percentage of parasitemia. The results showed that the mice receiving aqueous extract and combination treatment showed growth inhibition of P. berghei in 74% and 94%, respectively. S. ligustrina extract, which consisted of brucine and strychnine, effectively inhibited the multiplication of P. berghei. The treated mice showed improved hematology profiles, body weight, and temperature, as compared to control mice. Co-treatment with S. ligustrina extract and DHP revealed significant antimalarial and antipyretic effects. Our results provide prospects for further discovery of antimalarial drugs that may show more successful chemotherapeutic treatment.
