가로녹지 및 건물 높이가 미세먼지 농도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Green Space in Roadside and Building Height on the Mitigation of Concentration of Particulate Matters)

  • 본 연구는 도로에서 발생하는 미세먼지 농도가 도시 개발 형태에 따라 인접 생활권별로 어떻게 확산되는지 시뮬레이션을 통해 파악하고자 하였다. 연구는 경상남도 밀양시청 앞 6차선 도로를 중심으로 한 도로영향권 시가지를 대상으로 진행하였다. 시뮬레이션 프로그램인 ENVI-met 모델을 가로녹지 유무, 도로변 건축물의 높이에 따라 변수를 조정하여 미세먼지 농도의 확산정도를 파악하였다. 모델링 결과 도로변 건물이 고층으로 형성되어 있고 가로녹지가 조성되어 있는 경우 인접 생활권으로 확산된 미세먼지 농도가 가장 낮았으며, 다음으로는 고층건물군에 가로녹지가 없는 상태의 농도가 낮았다. 반면 저층건물군이 형성된 경우에는 가로녹지 유무에 관계없이 인접생활권으로 확산된 미세먼지 농도는 높게 나타났다. 고층건물의 경우 빌딩풍에 의해 건축물 주변으로 강한 바람이 형성되는 만큼 바람에 의해 미세먼지가 빠르게 외부로 확산되어 농도가 낮아지는 것으로 확인할 수 있었다. 반면 가로녹지 조성이 도로변 생활권에 미치는 미세먼지 저감효과는 뚜렷하지 않았다. 특히 도로변 건축물이 저층일 경우 가로녹지를 조성과 생활권미세먼지농도변화와 관련성은 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 미세먼지가 도로에서만 발생하는 것을 가정하여 모델링을 진행한 것으로 향후 다양한 변수에 따른 미세먼지 확산모형 연구 및 현장연구의 보완을 필요로 하였다.

사회경제적 수준이 청소년 우울감에 미치는 영향: 다층잠재성장모형을 적용하여 (The Effect of Socioeconomic Status to Change in Adolescent Depression: A Multilevel Latent Growth Analysis)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine change in adolescent depression across time and to determine the relation between individual and neighborhood socioeconomic status (SES) and depression. Methods: This study employed multilevel latent growth analysis using longitudinal data from Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey. A sample of this study consists of 2,351 adolescents who were in first grade of middle school in 2010. Results: Results showed that both initial level and downward trajectory of depression varied significantly across individuals as well as across neighborhoods. On the individual level, self-rated economic condition(b=-0.203, p<.001) was related to the initial level of depression. Adolescents whose father had a high educational level(b=0.028, p<.001) or whose mother had a low educational level(b=-0.022, p=.011) had lower rates of decline in adolescent depression. On the neighborhood level, neighborhood deprivation index (b=0.003, p=.019) and gini coefficient(b=0.124, p=.040) were associated with lower rates of decline in depression. Conclusions: Low SES in adolescence is correlated with worse mental health, especially depression. Social disparities in depression likely originate before adulthood. The findings argue for the importance of understanding depression in adolescence from a multilevel or ecological framework.

도시재생 선도지역의 사업내용 및 기대효과 유형 분류 및 분석 -근린재생형 도시재생 선도지역 마중물 사업을 대상으로- (Classification and Analysis of the Project Contents and Expected Effects of Urban Regeneration Pilot Projects)

  • 도시는 다양한 콘텐츠를 담고 있는 유기적 존재로써 특히 최근에 관심을 받고 있는 도시재생은 콘텐츠 개발을 통해 경쟁력을 강화하는 사업이다. 따라서 도시의 경쟁력 있는 콘텐츠 개발을 위해 도시재생 사업의 내용과 기대효과를 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 11곳의 근린재생형 선도지역의 마중물 사업의 사업내용과 기대효과를 유형화하고 분석하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 마중물 사업의 사업내용은 물리적 재생이 가장 많으며 기대효과는 사회적 효과가 가장 많았다. 둘째, 사회적 재생의 사업은 주민의 역량강화를 위한 사업이 주를 이룬다. 셋째, 물리적 재생의 기대효과에서는 경관개선에 관한 기대효과가 많았으며, 넷째 사회적 기대효과에서는 도시재생의 기본 개념인 주민참여에 관한 내용이 많았음을 알 수 있다. 마지막으로, 단일 효과보다는 사업의 효과를 복합적으로 기대할 수 있는 사업개발이 필요하다. 향후 도시재생 뉴딜사업에서는 마을 고유의 자산을 활용하고 경쟁력 있는 도시콘텐츠 개발에 기반하며 다양한 효과가 나타날 수 있는 사업에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

경기도의 옥상녹화 가용면적 추정과 이의 정책적 함의 (Estimation of the Potential Area for Roof Greening in Gyeonggi-do and Its Implications)

  • We estimated the potential area roof greening in Gyeonggi-do that will mitigate the heat island effect. The estimation was based on building age, roof shape, and building use which were recorded in the building register from "Sewoomteo, the Building Administration System in the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. The estimated potential roof greening area in Gyeonggi-do was approximately $102.5km^2$ assuming that the buildings for residence, public, education(school), office, shopping mall are appropriate for roof greening. The area occupied by apartment buildings over six-story was 76.3% of the potential roof greening area 10.2% for individual houses, 5.9% for under five-story apartment buildings, and 3.7% for school buildings. The result indicated that it is residential buildings that we need to pay attention for roof greening, especially high-rise buildings over six-story. Greening of the whole estimated area, $102.5km^2$, in Gyeonggi-do will result in the increase of green space per capita by $8.74m^2$. This is 1.65 times greater than the area of current urban parks, and 1.97 times greater than the total area of neighborhood parks, children's parks, and pocket parks. Greening of the estimated roof area will increase green coverage of urban area by twice, adding to current green coverage of the urban areas, 11.3%, in 10 major cities. In particular, the effect of roof greening would be remarkable in inceasing the green space of Anyang City, Gwangmyeong City, and Guri City where neighborhood park area falls short.

아파트단지의 물리적 폐쇄성과 사회경제적 효과에 관한 실증분석 (Empirical Analyses of Physical Exclusiveness of Multi-family Housing Estates in Seoul and Its Socioeconomic Effects)

  • This study empirically investigates the degree of physical exclusiveness of multi-family housing estates and its socioeconomic effects. By combining various physical elements devised to blockade and control the entrance to the estate as well as housing units, it constructs the index to quantify the degree of physical exclusiveness for the multi-family housing estates of more than 300 households in Seoul. The statistics reveal that the degree of physical exclusiveness has increased over time and therefore, as a representative example, two-thirds of the estates are now equipped with barricade at the entrance, which often symbolizes 'gated community'. The estimation result of hedonic price model show that physical exclusiveness has a significant positive effect on housing price. The household survey data for the case study estates also demonstrate that the residents in the estate of higher degree of physical exclusiveness put a higher housing value on socioeconomic 'prestige' as well as 'community', beyond physical 'security', and have closer neighborhood relationship with the residents inside the estate. However, there is no significant difference in neighborhood relationship with the outside residents depending upon the degree of physical exclusiveness.

중학생의 주거환경이 인성특성에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effect of the Middle School Students` Residental Environment on their Personality)

  • This study researched the interrelation between the development of the middle school student\` personality and their residential environments on 406 middle school students. The purpose of this research were to suggest a better residential environment as a desirable educational condition for making juveniles\` sound self-realization. The results of this research were as follows. 1. According to the their parents\` social status on middle school students\` personality the students. especially their parents had a service and technical expert official job of a better academic career showed an excellent score in personality. 2. According to the relation between the residential environment on their personality. it was said that the students. (1) who had their own study room at their own house. (2) who had a better house equipment and relatively a safety from fire danger. (3) who were living at the house which had been equipped a ventilation and sound isolation. were higher in the Personality score than any other groups. 3. According to the neighborhood and their personality the students who were living in some comfortable environments such as the divided collect of trash and the neighborhood natural surroundings skewed a high score in personality.

청소년 성행동에 영향을 미치는 생태학적 변인 (The Ecological Variables Affecting Adolescent's Sexual Behavior)

  • We investigated the ecological variables of adolescent sexual behavior. We grouped the behaviors into organism, microsystem, mesosystem, and exosystem. The variables belonging to the organism group were sexual attitude, sex, grade, sexual knowledge, sexual education, dating experience, problem behaviors, and self-control. The microsystem variables included the parent-adolescent communication about sexuality, parental monitoring, parent educational background, friend relationships, and school environment. Moreover, the mesosystem variables included family-peer and family-school relationships. The exosystem variables were comprised of neighborhood environment and pornography. The study group included 369 adolescents from the first and second grade of several high school in Daegu, Korea. We found that the factors affecting adolescent sexual behavior included grade, sex, dating experience, self-control, smoking, and pursuing sexual pleasure. As well, contact with deviant friends, father-adolescent communication about sexuality, school type, and attachment to teacher. In addition the family-peer relationship also affected adolescent's sexual behaviors as well as pornography and neighborhood environment. Lastly the variable belonging to the organism group was found to have the greatest effect on adolescent, sexual behavior compared to the other variables.

PLASMA DIAGNOSIS OF FANING TARGETS SPUTTERING SYSTEM FOR DEPOSITION OF BA FERRITE FILMS IN Ar, Xe AND $O_2$ GAS MIXTURE

  • The diagnosis of the plasma in the facing targets sputtering system was performed in mixture gas of Ar 0.18-0.0 Pa, Xe 0.0-0.18 Pa and $O_2$ 0.02 Pa by using Langmiur's probe and the effect of plasma-damage to surface smoothness and magnetic characteristics of Ba ferrite films was clarified. The electron density $N_e$ and the electron temperature $T_e$ were evaluated at the center of the plasma and at the neighborhood of the anode ring. $T_e$ decreased and $N_e$ increased with increase of $P_{Xe}$ at the center of plasma. For the measurement at the neighborhood of the anode ring, $T_e$ was almost constant and $N_e$ took the minimum value at $P_{Xe}$ of 0.1 Pa, where Ba ferrite films with excellent c-axis orientation and magnetic characteristics were obtained. It was suggested that the restriction of the bombardment of recoiled particles as well as the suppress of plasma-damage were effective for obtaining good surface smoothness and excellent magnetic characteristics and it was useful for decreasing the crystallization temperature of Ba ferrite films.

The Impact of LEED-Energy Star Certified Office Buildings on the Market Values of Neighboring Areas in New York City

  • Green building certifications are being adopted widely, and existing research continues to show an array of benefits to stakeholders of green certified buildings. However, little attention has been paid thus far to the effects these buildings may have on their surrounding neighborhoods economically. This research examined the effect of LEED and/or Energy Star certification on the neighborhoods surrounding certified office buildings from an economic standpoint with spatial and statistical analyses. This research showed the unit market value of LEED and/or Energy Star certified office buildings and the parameters of LEED and/or Energy Star certification had statistically a positive impact on the median unit market value of their neighborhood areas. The findings can provide useful insights into the possibilities for additional economic benefits of their neighborhoods, encouraging a win-win approach that enhances the local real estate market.

English vowel production conditioned by probabilistic accessibility of words: A comparison between L1 and L2 speakers

  • This study investigated the influences of probabilistic accessibility of the word being produced - as determined by its usage frequency and neighborhood density - on native and high-proficiency L2 speakers' realization of six English monophthong vowels. The native group hyperarticulated the vowels over an expanded acoustic space when the vowel occurred in words with low frequency and high density, supporting the claim that vowel forms are modified in accordance with the probabilistic accessibility of words. However, temporal expansion occurred in words with greater accessibility (i.e., with high frequency and low density) as an effect of low phonotactic probability in low-density words, particularly in attended speech. This suggests that temporal modification in the opposite direction may be part of the phonetic characteristics that are enhanced in communicatively driven focus realization. Conversely, none of these spectral and temporal patterns were found in the L2 group, thereby indicating that even the high-proficiency L2 speakers may not have developed experience-based sensitivity to the modulation of sub-categorical phonetic details indexed with word-level probabilistic information. The results are discussed with respect to how phonological representations are shaped in a word-specific manner for the sake of communicatively driven lexical intelligibility, and what factors may contribute to the lack of native-like sensitivity in L2 speech.
