This study examined the effects of marital relationships, mother's parenting stress and positive parenting behavior on the behavioral problems of preschoolers. For this purpose, we created a structural equation model and examined the goodness of fit of the model using the RMSEA, SRMR, TLI, and CFI. The participants were 986 4-year-old preschoolers and their mothers taken from the 5th year of the Korea Children's Panel. The results of this study were as follows: First, a negative marital relationship had a significant negative effect on behavioral problems of preschoolers directly. And a negative marital relationship had a significant indirect effect on behavioral problems of preschoolers through the parenting behavior. Second, parenting stress had a significant negative effect on behavioral problems of preschoolers directly. And parenting stress had a significant indirect effect on behavioral problems of preschoolers through the parenting behavior. These findings imply that both improving marital relationships and regulating mothers' parenting stress and parenting behavior need to be emphasized when designing prevention and intervention programs aimed at improving the behavioral problems of preschoolers.

Subjects were 250 5-year-old preschoolers and their parents. Instruments were the Coping with children's Negative Emotions Scale, and coding strategies checklist and peer rating scales for children. Data were analyzed with the SPSS PC + program. Parent's emotion-focused reactions, encouragement of expression and problem-focused reactions were positively associated with both peer acceptance and child coping styles whereas parent's distress, and punitive and minimizing reactions were associated with lower Peer acceptance and child coping styles of venting, denial, aggressive action, and avoidance. In child coping styles, problem solving was positively associated with peer acceptance while aggressive action anti venting were associated with a lower level of peer acceptance. Problem solving tended to be positively associated with peer acceptance, whereas aggressive action and venting tended to be associated with lower level of peer acceptance. (4) There was a statistically significant relations among parent's reactions to preschoolers' negative emotions, preschoolers' coping styles, and peer acceptance. There were the positive relations among parent's supportive reactions preschoolers' coping styles of problem solving and seeking support, and peer acceptance.
This study attempted to examine the differences between male and female juveniles from the perspective of the parentification and to discover if the differences in the effects of shame and guilt proneness on the parentification of juveniles according to gender were observed under the control of negative family environment variables. With this purpose in mind, the researcher measured negative family environments, and the shame proneness, guilt proneness, and parentification of 225 male and 243 female students in middle schools in Seoul. The results indicate that there were differences in the levels of parentification according to gender male juveniles showed higher levels of parentification than female juveniles. In addition, after negative family environment variables were under control, both shame proneness and guilt proneness effected the parentification. Furthermore, while the effects were different according to gender, guilt proneness had a significant effect on parentification for males and shame proneness had a significant effect on the parentification for females. In conclusion, it was suggested that female's parentification as effected by shame proneness nees to be be noted although male juveniles showed higher levels of the parentification.
The purpose of this study was to understand children's negative attitudes exhibited towards peers with special needs in an inclusive kindergarten, utilizing ethnographic research methodology. The subjects consisted of 54 children undergoing typical development and three children with special needs in a public kindergarten in Busan metropolitan city. Data collection was conducted by means of participant observations and interviews took place from April until November, 2009. Our results revealed that the responses of 'not acknowledging presence', 'differentiating', 'adapting them to us', 'excluding at play' were major themes in children's negative attitudes exhibited towards peers with disabilities in an otherwise ostensibly inclusive kindergarten. The response of 'not acknowledging presence' was categorized as a way of ignoring their existence, whereas 'differentiating' was categorized as stressing difference, and assuring difference. There were two characteristics related to 'adapting them to us' : adapting them to our ways, adapting them to our knowledge. Concerning 'excluding from play', four characteristics were found : excluding indirectly, excluding directly, excluding illogically, and excluding by seeking majority accord. The implications of the findings for inclusive early childhood education were discussed.
The adjustment of negative emotions in later life is related to the quality of life and life satisfaction. any studies have examined how to control the negative emotions in related to physical, psychological, and social relationships. As the digital media and contents positively influence elder's mental and somatic well-being, it is significant to examine this problem from IT usage, especially the selection of digital contents. This study validated the theoretical study through a qualitative exploratory study comprising both negative emotions and the selection of digital contents, and empirically tested the proposed research model on the older people. The result shows the pattern of linkages between the grief of loss and the pursuit of digital contents. Loss from being parted by death and loss of relations was positively related to the information seeking contents. Economical loss and loss of physical functions was positively related to the innovation seeking contents. Loss of physical functions and Loss from being parted by death was positively related to the emotion seeking contents. And economic loss and loss of relations was positively related to the entertainment seeking contents.
Purpose - This research analyzes the effects of Korean family ownership characteristics on firm value. The positive and negative effects of family ownership on Korean firm value were analyzed. If negative effects are evident, this research explores the factors that cause a decrease in firm value. Research design, data, and methodology - The study examined a total of 5,743 companies listed on the Korea Exchange from the period 2002 to 2012 using a panel data regression analysis. Result - An empirical analysis suggests that Korean family ownership diminishes firm value. Korean family firm value has been reduced when controlling shareholders are participated in management and pursue excessive wages, or make the management entrenchment effects associated with ownership-control disparity. When the controlling shareholders of family firms have increasing control rights over the shareholders' general meeting and the directors' board, the agency costs associated with seeking increasing executive wages or private benefits reduce firm value. Conclusions - This study has significance because it reveals the negative effect of family ownership in Korea on firm value. These negative effects can be the result of agency problems from controlling family shareholders seeking excessive wages or ownership-control disparity.

On the other hand, teachers' warmth was negatively related to teachers' negative reactive strategies. As results of examining relative effects of teachers' responsiveness on positive proactive strategies of problem behavior guidance, the influential variables were warmth and acceptance. The relative effects of teachers'responsiveness on positive reactive strategies of problem behavior guidance, the influential variables were sensitivity and acceptance. The relative effects of teachers' responsiveness on negative reactive strategies of problem behavior guidance, the only influential variable was warmth.
The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare visiting intentions by positive and negative Word-of-Mouth (WOM) and/or information of beauty shop between female college students and adult women. Data were collected from 500 consumers (250 from female students and 250 adult women) and was analyzed by using frequencies, factor analysis, t-tests and multiple regression utilizing SPSS/PC+. The findings revealed positive experience factors to prudent service, time saving/consideration for customer's position, kindness/operating system in waiting time, added services, employees' attitudes, excellent beauty and response skill, rational price and recall system/remind for customer. The negative experiences were inconsistent service, operators' convenient service, irrational price/poor skill/non-recall, non-customer central service, inappropriate face-to-face management to customer. Also, the results showed that the positive WOM information such as prudent service, time saving/consideration for customer's position, excellent beauty and response skill and rational price had influence on the visiting intention in case of female college students. The negative WOM information like non-customer central service, had influence on the visiting intention in cases of adult women.

This study aims at exploring Korean mothers' beliefs on the development of emotion of their children. In specific, sensitivity and maternal reactions to their children's both negative and positive emotion expressions were explored. Further, associations among maternal sensitivity, maternal reactions and child emotion regulation were examined. A total of 100 Korean mothers whose children were between 6 and 7 years old participated in the study. In order to assess mothers' beliefs about sensitivity, vignettes in a forced-choice format were presented through individual interviews. Mothers' self reported reactions to their children's negative emotions and positive emotions and mothers' perceptions of children's emotion regulation were assessed using questionnaires. Results revealed that Korean mothers endorsed both proactive and reactive sensitivity. However, their sensitivity differed depending on the situation. Mothers tended to endorse either Emotion Focused or Problem Focused reactions to their children's negative emotions. Mothers reported that they were most likely to restrict their child positive emotional expression with explanation in supportive way followed by invalidating through reprimanding it. Mothers' reported Distress Reactions and Punitive Reactions to children's expression of negative emotion were associated with children's liability whereas Emotion-Focused Reaction and Problem-Focused Reaction were associated with children's functional emotion regulation. The results are discussed within a theoretical framework of socialization of emotions.
This study explored the sandplay therapy case of a woman with a negative mother complex who wants to be free from family life. The goal of the therapy was to make her free from family life by expressing repressed emotions for getting out of a negative mother complex under a free and protected space in sandplay therapy. Twenty-three therapy sessions were held. The client exhibited a singing woman in a gorgeous dress and things she wanted to do in the initial phase of therapy (1-4, forgotten myself). In the intermediate phase of therapy (5-15, differentiation and integration), she displayed the scenes of differentiation and integration by emotionally getting rid of a begging boy and making mandalas. In the final phase of therapy (16-23, recovered myself), she showed scenes of rebirth, upgrading and singing songs again in front of family members and many people. Through sandplay therapy in the free and protected space, this study showed the effectiveness of sandplay therapy since the client achieved individuation by showing rebirth, having a new personality.
