  • The dynamic nature of opportunistic networks results in long delays, low rates of success for deliveries, etc. As such user experience is limited, and the further development of opportunistic networks is constrained. This paper proposes a prediction-based routing method for opportunistic networks (PB-OppNet). Firstly, using an ARIMA model, PB-OppNet describes the historical contact information between a node pair as a time series to predict the average encounter time interval of the node pair. Secondly, using an optimal stopping rule, PB-OppNet obtains a threshold for encounter time intervals as forwarding utility. Based on this threshold, a node can easily make decisions of stopping observing, or delivering messages when potential forwarding nodes enter its communication range. It can also report different encounter time intervals to the destination node. With the threshold, PB-OppNet can achieve a better compromise of forwarding utility and waiting delay, so that delivery delay is minimized. The simulation experiment result presented here shows that PB-OppNet is better than existing methods in prediction accuracy for links, delivery delays, delivery success rates, etc.

  • $Ren{\acute{e}}$ Char and Yi Yuk-Sa have similarities to be accepted as representative poet of resistance in France and South Korea's history of literature. These similarities lead us to make a comparative study on two poets not having any positive influencing relationship. Their experiences as a independence fighter have a great effect on their whole works. This study applies concept of "Po-ethica" to compare features and values about their works. This concept anticipates ethical and existential throwbacks not an aesthetic throwback. Their poems are remarkable that they not only present a ethical perspectives surpassing the "lettrism" but also show the lyricism in poems of resistance surpassing patriotic and ideological appeal. This lyricism results from the pursuits of a true life not a confidence of the goodness. The similarities and differences in their works can be a clue for rediscovering the meaning and values of poems of resistance. Rilke said, "The Poem is the experience". Char's poems are more experiential than any other poet's poems. His poems of resistance show a personal life than deconstruction of discourse such as nationality and father land. On the other hand, Yuk-Sa's poems show a prospect of nature and the macrocosm. This naturalization of a resistance surpass a pastoral attitude of forgetting their phases of the times and reality. Therefore, their "Po-ethica" of resistance is valid today.

  • The Maa speaking Torobo people inhabiting the southern portion of the Mau Escarpment in Kenya approach both individual and community survival from a relational orientation focused on ethnic identity and responsibility. This social responsibility to the tribe is in stark contrast to Torobo relationships with other ethnic groups. The purpose of the research is twofold. First, the paper explores how folkloric language through a trickster image reflects important cultural and social ideals, understandings, and patterns of thought in Torobo world view. A second purpose is to offer ethnographic information to scholars and students' alike necessary for world view studies of eastern Africa specifically focused on the interplay between anthropomorphic tales and the social context in which these stories are utilized. The key research question for this analysis asks how the trickster image in Torobo folklore conceptualize the life experience. A Torobo folktale entitled, The Clever Hare, is the text chosen for analysis with the hare character as the protagonist. A second query explores the importance of the trickster image in understanding Torobo world view categories of Self and Other. The analysis contributes an ethnographic perspective for the world view categories of Self and Other as well as trickster folklore by examining the nature of Torobo-ness using the tale of the cunning hare as a research tool.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to understand the meaning and nature of the early experiences of retired nurses. Methods: This qualitative study adopted Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Study participants were 10 nurses who had retired within the previous two years. Data were collected through in-depth individual interviews with the participants from September to December 2017, which were conducted until recurring themes emerged. Results: Early experiences of retired nurses in 14 sub-themes and 5 themes from the total of 256 initial codes. The five themes were 'vaguely initiated retirement preparation,' 'decreased income and increased spending,' 'mixture of longing and unfamiliarity,' 'the comforts left regret,' and 'go to another start another beginning.' Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, we suggest pre-retirement education that considers economic, interpersonal, and psychological changes to help nurses adapt to their new lives after retirement. We propose the development of education programs based on an understanding of lifestyle changes experienced by retired nurses, and further study to measure the effectiveness of these programs.
