2015 개정 교육과정 과학과 교과역량에 대한 초등교사의 인식과 적용 실태 분석 (Analysis of Teachers' Perception and Application Status of Science Subject Competencies of 2015 Revised Curriculum in Elementary Schools)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze field application of science subject competences of the 2015 revised curriculum for the second year of application. For this purpose, a survey with 133 elementary school teachers, and in-depth interviews with 10 teachers were conducted. According to the results, elementary school teachers had a positive awareness toward the science subject competence, which is a characteristic of the 2015 revised science curriculum, and teachers were applying the science subject competence to their own classes. This tendency was stronger in teachers in science-leading schools than in teachers in regular schools. Teachers wanted support for applying science subject competencies to their classes. To support this, it is necessary to provide the curriculum materials focused on science subject competencies, reinforce teacher training on competence-related curriculum, and activate the professional teacher community.

우리나라 대학도서관 주제서비스의 현단계 -부산대학교 도서관을 중심으로- (The Present State of the 'Subject Services' of the University Libraries in Korea -With Special Reference to Pusan National University Library-)

  • Librarians, who work for University libraries in Korea experience a lot of confusion and difficulties because of rapidly-changing technological conditions and under-developed understanding of the University Libraries' full potential on the part of the users. I present the concept of 'Subject Services' as an approach which librarians could use to overcome these difficulties in their own way. The 'Subject Services' refers to the 'subjectized' collection development and reference services, which can more specifically address the users' needs. To make this idea more concrete, I selected Pusan National University Library as the case of my qualitative research. And I made use of various research techniques such as 'participant observation' and 'ethnographic interview'. After looking into the case library in depth, I found that the concept of 'Subject Specialist'. a person who has double master's degrees including that of library and information science, is more suitable to the University Libraries in Korea at the present developmental stage. At the end of this article, propose that the development of Core Collections, the improvement of subject-oriented reference services and the continuing education of librarians should be emphasized.

Development of Science Subject Program based on Programming Learning to Improve Computational Thinking Ability in middle school

  • In this paper, we propose a Science subject program based on programming learning to improve computational thinking ability in middle school. As the necessity of software education rises recently, the subject of information was designated as the mandatory subject in elementary, middle and high schools. In order to cultivate the ability that enables the leaners to search the knowledge in need by themselves and raise troubleshooting method, not the existing indoctrination, his thesis was willing to improve Computational Thinking ability and improve the ability of considering and thinking the matters by using scratch language. For that, this thesis developed and suggested science subject program that utilizes the programming learning.

공과대학생들의 학습지원을 위한 수학클리닉 프로그램별 교과만족도 차이 연구 (The effects on subject satisfaction of math-clinic programs for learning support in engineering students)

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce the math-clinic programs which offer to engineering students and to compare the subject satisfaction between participants and non-participants. Five math-clinic programs are operated and 1397 students took part in this study. As a result, the Likert-type scales of satisfaction with three programs; the exercise problems solving class, the tutoring program and the achievement tests, were 4.07, 4.05 and 3.95, respectively(5-point Likert-type scale). And we found that the participants expressed higher subject satisfactions than nonparticipations did.

  • 최근 효과적인 정보검색을 제공하기 위해 시맨틱 웹을 비롯한 다양한 검색기법들을 사용하고 있다. 이중에서 효과적인 방법은 온톨로지를 이용한 검색기술을 적용하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 국가과학기술지식정보서비스(NTIS)에서 구축한 국가R&D정보를 분석하여 온톨로지를 구축하고, 이용자가 관심있어 하는 주제분야(과제, 인물, 성과, 기관)를 중심으로 온톨로지의 객체관계를 표현하고 정보를 탐색하기 위한 국가R&D지식맵(knowledge map)을 구축하였다. 국가R&D지식맵은 사용자가 선택한 객체를 중심노드로 설정하여, 주제분야를 노드로 표현하고, 객체와 주제분야간의 관계를 분석하여 사용자가 관심 있어 하는 질의를 주제분야의 하위노드로 표현하였다. 사용자가 하위노드의 질의를 선택하면 시스템에서는 선택한 질의를 온톨로지로부터 추론할 수 있는 SPAQL 질의어를 생성하고 추론엔진으로부터 검색결과를 받아 사용자에게 제시하였다.

초등 과학 교과전담 교사의 실험수업에서 형성되는 사회문화적 맥락의 특징 - 사회문화적 요인 및 요인들 간 상호작용을 중심으로 - (Features of the Sociocultural Context of Science Subject Teacher's Experiment Classes in Elementary School - Focusing on the Sociocultural Factors and Their Interactions -)

  • This study explores the features of sociocultural context of experiment classes taught by a science subject teacher. Two experiment classes on electric circuit for fifth graders were observed and video recorded. The data was also collected through student interviews and teacher interviews. Using the cultural historical activity theory, we extracted the six sociocultural factors and analyzed their interactions. This study could identify that four features of the sociocultural context of the cases. First, the rules of science classes were not decided by the teacher, but formed and modified through the negotiation between the teacher and students or between the students. Second, elementary students played a game, i.e. 'Countdown game', during their electricity experiments, which had both positive and negative influences on science learning. Third, the science teacher feels a limit on life guidance because of the position as a subject teacher in an elementary school. Lastly, although the science teacher had enough time to prepare science classes, there was no guarantee of the improvement of teaching quality. Based on the results of this study, educational implications are discussed in terms of teaching science experiments and of the science subject teacher system.

남자 국가대표 110m허들선수의 허들동작에 관한 운동학적 분석 (The kinematic analysis of the Hurdling of Men's 110m Hurdle)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the kinematic variables of the hurdling for a korea record holder (A) and a national hurdle representative (B). after the kinematic variables such the distance and the distance and height of C.G, the velocity and the angle were analyzed about the hurdling. The results were summarized as follows; 1. In terms of the distance and the height of C.G, subject A showed long in horizontal distance from C.G to the take-off phase, but showed short in the landing phase. Subject B showed short in horizontal distance from C.G to the take-off phase, and showed long in the landing phase. 2. In terms of the velocity of C.G, Subject A showed fast C.G velocity in horizontal direction to the braking phase, Subject A and B showed slower C.G velority in the landing phase, but Subject A showed height C.G velocity in vertical direction to the to the take-off, the landing, and propulsion phase 3. In terms of the angle of C.G and lean of C.G to front at the braking and the take-off phase. Subject A kept the less angle in the maximum trunk lean to front at the flight phase as comparison with Subject B. 4. In terms of the velocity of the knee and the ankle joint. Subject A showed fast in the resultant velocity of the left ankle joint the take-off phase, but showed slow in the left knee joint. Subject B showed fast in the resultant velocity of the left knee joint the take-off phase, but showed slow in the right knee and the right ankle joint.

초음파 센서를 이용한 트레드밀의 자동속도 제어시스템 (An Automatic Speed Control System of a Treadmill with Ultrasonic Sensors)

  • In this paper, we have developed an automatic velocity control system of a small-sized commercial treadmill (belt length of 1.2 m and width of 0.5 m) which is widely used at home and health centers. The control objective is to automatically adjust the treadmill velocity so that the subject's position is maintained within the track when the subject walks at a variable velocity. The subject's position with respect to a reference point is measured by a low-cost sonar sensor located on the back of the subject. Based on an encoder sensor measurement at the treadmill motor, a state feedback control algorithm with Kalman filter was implemented to determine the velocity of the treadmill. In order to reduce the unnatural inertia force felt by the subject, a predefined acceleration limit was applied, which generated smooth velocity trajectories. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in providing successful velocity changes in response to variable velocity walking without causing significant inertia force to the subject. In the pilot study with three subjects, users could change their walking velocity easily and naturally with small deviations during slow, medium, and fast walking. The proposed automatic velocity control algorithm can potentially be applied to any locomotion interface in an economical way without having to use sophisticated and expensive sensors and larger treadmills.

Bad Subjects and the Transnational Minjung: The Poetry of Jason Koo and Ed Bok Lee

  • In light of Korean inclusion of its diaspora as part of the nation, a "creolized" approach that brings together constructions of the bad subject of Asian American studies with conceptions of the Korean minjung grounds an analysis of two poets as they might be considered from a bi-national, Korean and U.S. American, perspective. The poets Ed Bok Lee and Jason Koo show different ways of being the bad subject. Lee is clearly a bad American subject, resisting American white racial hegemony, and his poetry often addresses a kind of American minjung multiculturalism, as is shown in poems from his first two books Real Karaoke People and Whorled. He challenges some aspects of contemporary Korea, and might be a kind of Korean bad subject in those challenges. Koo, on the other hand, resists the call to bad subjectivity, so that his poetry may not fit the preferred paradigm of Asian American studies, as he recognizes. As he resists that paradigm, he also gives little attention to his Korean heritage, so his not-bad American subjectivity becomes bad Korea subjectivity. He recovers some measure of badness in the final poem of Man on Extremely Small Island when he connects briefly to his Korean heritage and his Asian American present. The creolized juxtaposition of the bad subject with the minjung suggests the use of these poems in considering both American and Korean society.

탈근대 주체의 불안과 강박적 반복: 폴 오스터의 『리바이어던』 읽기 (Postmodern Subject's Anxiety and Obsessive Repetition in Paul Auster's Leviathan)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine Paul Auster's Leviathan according to Slavoj Žižek's theory. Analyzing the characters in Leviathan, this paper chiefly discusses the postmodern subject's anxiety and obsessive repetition that the lack of the big Other led to. Section II explains the disintegration of the big Other and the subject's anxiety and obsessive repetition by the interpretation of the characters: Peter Aaron, Maria Turner, and Benjamin Sachs. Aaron wants to write on Sachs's life to overcome his uneasy subject's condition, and to establish the consistent and whole world. But his writing fails to meet his desire, owing to uncertainty of his understanding, and the incompleteness of his writing. In case of Maria, her uneasy subject's condition led to her obsessively repetitive picture-shooting herself and others, which proved to be a meaningless struggle for filling the void of the big Other and herself. Although Sachs already knows the lack and inconsistency of the big Other, he also repetitively tries to establish the consistent and whole Other. In Section III, this paper examines Sachs's terror as he struggles for the preservation of the big Other. His extreme striving also fails to reestablish the big Other as it loses its symbolic effectiveness in the postmodern era because he does not grasp the big Other as an empty Symbolic order, and rejects the premise of the big Other itself.
