This research investigated the motivation and interests of a sample of predominately-underrepresented populations to better understand whether informal STEM learning experiences offer support for developing STEM identities. A valid and reliable three-section self-reporting survey was administered to 169 secondary students as the primary data source. Identity was used as a theoretical lens along with descriptive statistics to reveal students' perceived benefits of the informal STEM learning experience, a Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program in the western U.S., for improving their understanding of science, mathematics, and engineering concepts, increasing their interest in science, mathematics, and engineering careers, and increasing their belief of the importance of these STEM disciplines. In summary, the findings emerging, considered alongside current identity research, suggest that informal STEM learning experiences offer students from underrepresented STEM populations the space needed for successful STEM identity bids, either for future career pursuits or participation in a STEM literate populace as a non-STEM professional societal member.

The weighted convolution Banach algebra L1(ω) is the algebra of all equivalence classes of Lebesgue measurable functions f such that ‖f‖ = ∫0∞|f(t)|ω(t)dt < ∞, under pointwise addition, scalar multiplication of functions, and the convolution product (f ⁎ g)(t) = ∫0t f(t - s)g(s)ds. We give a sufficient condition on a weight function ω(t) in order that L1(ω) has a bounded approximate identity.

Milano Fair is the most authoritative event in the world and the most noticeable exhibition for expecting stream of furniture design and future. Companies and designers, who participate in this event, pioneer independent market through the creative and creative products based on their own identity. Their competitiveness in the market comes from the identity of the brands and it is possible when making continuous efforts to make competitiveness by differentiated designs and products. Upright design culture will be made when respecting the value of designers and designs, making the history and tradition and striving for new challenges and pioneerings.

아이덴티티(identity)는 퍼스낼리티(personality)로서 자신을 총체적으로 통합시켜 경쟁시대에 차별 화를 위한 새로운 이미지 정착의 수단으로 중요시 되고 있다. 본 연구는 각 캐릭터들 간의 다양성과 시각적 통일성 요소들을 파악하여 동질성 인지를 통한 캐릭터 아이덴티티를 확립하는 기초정보 제공에 목적이 있다. 따라서 범주화, 전형성 인지 과정에 관련된 선행연구를 바탕으로 캐릭터 인지의 형태적 대표성을 나타낼 수 있는 전형적 요소들이 있다는 가설 하에 사례분석을 통한 조형적 요소의 특징을 분류하였다. 또한 캐릭터 그룹 간의 아이덴티티를 나타낼 수 있는 형태적 요소의 범위를 파악하였으며, 기초설문조사를 바탕으로 캐릭터의 형태 인지에 따른 빈도분석 결과 형태 인지의 우선 순위는 얼굴, 눈 코 입, 면, 아웃라인 순으로 분석 되었다. 향후 캐릭터의 형태적 요소에 기인한 실증분석을 통해 캐릭터 아이덴티티를 실현하고자 한다.

Social television encompasses the social media aspect of television viewing. This study attempts to investigate how social television influences Hispanic and national ethnic identification as well as social presence. Based on the theoretical framework of Tajfel and Turner's Social Identity Theory (SIT), this study focuses on the potential influence of social television on Hispanics' ethnic identifications and social presence. With a sample of 100 Hispanic students, we conducted a lab experiment to measure the effects of exposure to ethnic and non-ethnic related Twitter feeds on Hispanic and national ethnic identification along with social presence. Findings reveal that there was no significant difference between those exposed to the ethnic-identity related Twitter feed compared to those exposed to the non-ethnic identity related Twitter feed, followed by the control group not exposed to the Twitter feed at all. Implications were discussed.

The uses of drones are increasing despite the fact that many of us are still skeptical. In the near future, the data that will be created and used by them will be very voluminous, hence the need to find an architecture that allows good identity management and access control in a decentralized way while guaranteeing security and privacy. In this article, we propose an architecture using hyperledger fabric blockchain platform which will manage the identity in a secure way starting with the registration of the drones on the network then an access control thanks to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and membership service provider (MSP) to enable decision-making within the system.

이 연구는 온라인 롤프레잉 게임 이용자가 현실공간과 가상공간에서 형성하는 자아정체감의 관계를 탐색하고, 그것이 온라인 게임중독과 현실부적응감에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 검증하고자 했다. 분석결과 현실공간의 자아정체감과 가상공간의 자아정체감은 정적으로 높은 상관성을 보였다. 구체적으로 현실공간의 자아정체감이 높은 사람들은 가상공간에서도 높은 자아정체감을 보였다. 또한 두 공간의 자아정체감은 게임중독과 현실부적응감과도 매우 높은 상관성을 보였는데, 두 공간 모두 자아정체감이 높을수록 게임중독과 현실부적응감 수준은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 그중에서도 현실공간의 자아정체감은 게임의 부정적 효과들, 즉 중독과 현실부적응감 수준을 결정하는 요인으로 나타났다. 가상공간의 자아정체감은 비록 독립적인 영향력을 발휘하지는 못했지만, 현실공간의 그것과 상호보완적으로 영향을 미칠 가능성을 보였다. 이것은 현실공간에서 자아정체감이 낮은 사람들에게 가상공간이 이상적인 자아를 발견하고 자신에 대해 긍정적인 인식을 발전시킬 수 있는 대안적인 공간으로 작용하지 못함을 의미한다. 중독에 이르고 현실부적응감 수준이 높은 사람들은 현실공간과 마찬가지로 가상공간에서의 자신에 대해서도 부정적으로 인식하기 때문이다.

참여로서의 학습에 대한 관점의 전환은 실행 과정에서의 학습자의 정체성 변화 및 발달(identity world, 정체성 작업)에 관심을 두게 한다. 본 연구는 정체성의 지속적이고 유동적인 과정에 관심을 두며, 그에 따라 정체성 작업이 일어나는 학습자를 둘러싼 구조와 그 구조 속에서 개인의 행위 및 행위력의 발현에 초점을 둔다. 이러한 관점에서 구조, 행위력, 정체성을 변증법적으로 이해하기 위한 이론적 도구로써 Holland et al.(1998)의 실행 과정에서의 정체성(identity-in-practice) 이론을 소개한다. 이 이론을 대표하는 개념은 '인식된 세계', '위치성', '자아 저술'이다. '인식된 세계'는 인간의 행위에 의해 지속적으로 재구성되는 의미의 그물망이자 동시에 인간의 행위를 조각하는 사회적 힘으로 이해되며, '위치성'은 이 세계 속에서 자신의 사회적 위치에 대한 이해를 의미한다. '자아 저술'은 위 두 개념을 종합하는 차원으로서 개인은 인식된 세계 속에서 실행을 통해 다양한 사회적 목소리를 협연하여 자아를 스스로 형성해간다는 의미를 담고 있다. 본 연구는 이 개념을 바탕으로 과학 교육의 선행 연구 분석을 통해 이 이론의 다양한 활용 사례를 기술했다. 그러나 사회문화적 접근을 취하는 이 이론의 특성상 해외 연구 사례가 단순히 우리에게도 적용될 수 없기에, 국내 상황에서 본 이론이 활용될 수 있는 방향을 논의하여 방법론적 도구로서 이 이론의 적용가능성을 확장하고자 하였다. 다층적이고 지속적이며 누적적인 정체성 작업을 강조하는 본 이론의 도입이 시대적으로 요구되는 과학 교육 개혁의 지평을 넓히는 자원으로 활용되기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of married middle-aged men and women's gender-role identity, marital conflicts and psychological adjustment. Psychological adjustment was composed of mid life crisis, depression, and perceived happiness. The data of the study were collected from 397 married, middle aged men and women from 40 years to 59 years-old by using self-administered questionnaire method. The results showed that gender role identity was different according to sex. In addition, women's perceived level of marital conflict was found to be significantly different according to their gender role identity, indicating that androgynous women reported the lowest level of marital conflict. However, men's gender role conflict was not related to their marital conflict. Furthermore, men's psychological adjustment level was not different according to their gender role identity, while women's psychological adjustment differed, indicating that androgynous women reported the lowest level of psychological adjustment and the undifferentiated women the highest level of psychological adjustment. Finally, the result indicated that for both men and men, marital conflict were positively correlated with mid-crisis and depression, and negatively related with happiness.

Purpose: This study was done to identify the effects of the Korean Enneagram program on college nursing students' ego-identity, interpersonal relationships and self-leadership. Methods: A nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design was used. Twenty-nine students were in the experimental group receiving the Korean Enneagram program, and 28 were in the control group with no treatment. Results: 'The experimental group will show higher scores for ego-identity (t=3.97, p<.001), interpersonal relationship (t=3.26, p=.002) and self-leadership (t=2.91, p=.007) compared to the control group 8 weeks after the program finished' was supported by significant differences in the scores between the two groups. Conclusion: The findings indicate that the Korean Enneagram Program has a significant effect on improving ego-identity, interpersonal skills and self-leadership in nursing college students and the program can be used as a tool to promote the ego-identity, interpersonal skills and self-leadership of nursing students.
